Oh God, Melbourne has the most vile public transportation in the civilized world. Expensive, slow, unreliable, smelly, and unbelievably dirty, grimy and disgusting. What a degrading experience riding those putrid trains. Not only are the trains themselves disgusting but the people who ride them are equally repulsive and vile.
@Max5941 they are not all repulsive and vile but yeah, compared with Brisbane the trains are as you say, dam right disgusting. I'm glad I have my car.
Clearly you haven't been on Toronto's public transport system. The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) is the most vile in the civilised world. It's all the things you described about Melbourne's and it's one of the last places in the developed world that still uses metal tokens as a form of fare payment.
@raymondtung88 Actually I have been on the TTC (and the GO trains) and the experience was quite pleasant. Clean, fast, modern, safe. You don't know what your're talking about.
Go to the metrotrains website and search for "filming". Click "Rail Enthusiasts & Amateur Policy and Guidelines". Scroll to point 18 where it says: This permit is NOT valid for photography at the City Loop Stations (Parliament, Flagstaff and Melbourne
Central). Photography is NOT permitted at these stations." Although it says photography I would assume you aren't allowed to film there either.
@ironsword7 well if i'm in a station with my camera i'm not going to view a website am i. If the signs are not displayed clearly they only have themselves to blame.
I took a long video while recording! But they wouldn't ban recording the video in the train! I was shocked I passed by a train ticket guy! I switched off my camera instantly! Just in case.
@mikeycbd - yeah, dont worry about it mate, our metro system is pretty crappy, they cant expect you to know u cant film in the city loop anyways, but yeah they should have signs up.
soon we gonna have flaying train..

HairyBogTrotter 6 months ago
@HairyBogTrotter yes they are very clean and spotless... most of the time and I think run on time... mostly.
