  • Any of today's top pros could destroy Rios. They hit better shots than this all the time. Some of these shots are amazing, but he's not the only one who ever hits amazing shots. Also, he's hitting these shots against player's no one's even heard of. Not a lot of pressure there. Not to mention the difference in power from when he was playing and now.

ENERO 2012.

  • se pasoooo!!

  • Rios es el Ronaldinho del tenis

  • @kamilox10 jajaja si wn

  • lol, marcelo rios hit the balls like a samurai

  • C H I L E N O

  • maestro ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ eres el mejor chino rios

  • Without question Marcelo was a special talent and the only player that comes close to playing like this on the tour is Alexandr Dolgopolov and it is quite eery that both of them have a ponytail hairstyle...

  • que grande chinito weon!!

  • search "Federer Returning Favor " wimbledon vs Falla dropshot and JMD madrid - holds 3 of the greatest tweeners shots in history - 2 smash returns vs Roddick & Djokivic - 180 rotation return vs nalbandine - back to agassi returns a winner dubai and unlike Rios he does most of the shots in the late stages of Grand Slams and goes on to WIN!

  • How can i do this on Smash Court Tennis?

  • EVER SEEN FEDERER, NADAL, NOLE DOING ANYTHING LIKE THIS?

  • @tanukitejon Yep Federer's a beast when it comes to creativity and badass shots just go watch a compilation video of his greatest shots!

  • @su79er i was searching but didnt find any sick drop shots or sitting smash. Just phisical game.May be you are confused.

  • @tanukitejon Well does rios have one grand slam?? Roger, rafa and Nole have more then multiple! Talent counts for nothing unless you can prove it on the big stage! That means grand slam wins!!!

  • @MrYoumitube Rios lost the Australian Open to Peter Korda who was later found to have used drugs in that match.

  • @tanukitejon and you? ever seen Marcelo play? times are different, NADAL, FEDERER, ETC ... are running and hitting machines, do not doubt their talent, but compare them with Marcelo Rios is absurd.

did you know that Thomas Enqvist said, "The only player who would pay to see play ....is Marcelo Rios and Federer himself acknowledged that Marcelo is one of his idols ... Period.

  • @tanukitejon yes

  • a player who couldve been the best of all-time. had immeasureable talent. made the hardest shots look easy n with minimal effort . but the moron didnt train cuz he had NOO discipline whatsoever. one of the biggest what ifs in tennis history

  • @chileno714 100% agree with you.

  • @chileno714 That's just not true. The guy trained like a crazy bastard until he got to be number 1. That was one of his strong points. Then life changes, motivations change, AND injuries happen. The fact that you wanted him to be "better" (yeah, like many people ever get to be number 1 at what they do), doesn't mean that he wanted it too. Usually injuries are not subject to good will either. The guy was just amazing, we were lucky to see him play.

  • @chileno714 It is hard to find that much talent dare I say artistry with the right amount of discipline (Micheal Jordan); research all the great artists (not just sport) they have acute idiosyncratic behaviour that make them hard to deal with and once deemed unconventional, the conforming and intolerant society can be harsh, another tennis example of this is Safin

  • @chileno714 Maybe you're right about Rios not applying himself as much as he should, but he's still one of the greatest. Some authors -like Rulfo- write just a few novels and yet they make their way into history books. Rios was #1 and that's good enough for me.

  • @chileno714 Could have been the best of all time?Man are you serious,he didnt won Grand slam title in his life.He was very good player thats all.He is in the class of Soderling,Tsonga...But he was great shot maker...

  • Sin duda era un genioooo!!, grande Chino!

  • if he was born in the wooden racquet era he would have won 4598346598465 slams. he's THAT talented.

  • @honestyize Is that why he made one slam final his whole career?

Rios was mentally weak, lazy, and lack the firepower to win on faster surfaces. An old Becker routined him with ease at wimbledon.

Lets not forget Chang worked him over every time they played.
