@muma0449 In his prime? yes. but you have to remember the second half of his career wasn't that great when he was in Cincinnati getting injured and plagued all the time. Ichiro has never been injured for a long period of time or faultered so quickly in his career. When Ichiro was 36 he was still getting over 200 hits while when Griffey was 36 his career was already over pretty much. don't get me wrong there both first ballot hall of famers no doubt but Ichiro is the best mariner of all time.

@homosexugay Yeah You have a fair point. But actually I think it is fair to compare Ichiro and Ruth. Both rightfielders both incredible players, however Ruth I truly believe to be overated. Yes he did hit homers in the dead ball era as you said but if you look up his stats before the dead ball era ended he hit less than 30 homers, so its fair to judge his homers by the standards of modern day players. I'll take Ichiro over Ruth. Better defensive player more speed makes up for power imo.

Plus he single handedly hit more homeruns then any other team combined like ever year he played. 3rd all time in HR and pitched over 100 CGs with a career 2.28 ERA.
