Hello there......yes I was in Egypt at the time this song came out. I did go to Lausanne, Switzerland for my college education at that time, and the singer (his name is Bob Azzam) used to play at a restaurant/club in Geneva called MAXIM and he used to sing that famous song there as well. Very popular at that time. Presently I am living in the US.Best regards to your friend.
