  • Although your video is not as formal as other videos, it is much more accurate and thorough.

    Thanks for that

  • I fixed my wife's timing belt

  • I got a honda torneo 1998 and its not that simple, I found the filter box but it looks like its sealed.

  • Very helpful video. Thanks!!! Everything you posted is correct. I had a problem taking of the bottom metal piece because of a screw that was too hard to remove. I bent it enough to remove the cabin air filter from the top of this metal piece. Also I'd like to note that you will have to remove the paper part of the filter and use the same plastic frame that the used paper part was in. Just for those that like detail.

  • thanks for the vid , now i dont have to pay for an 1/2 hr worth of labor

  • Thanx 4 sharing.

  • i couldn't get the center console panel out. i spent like 40 minutes but in the end, i could bend it far back enough to get the screw out so i was able to change the filters, but that sucked.

  • Nice vid! what I did was run the ac or fan for a few seconds with the FILTERS OFF before putting the new ones in, you will be suprised how much crap comes out ! just dont put your face in front of the opening you might get hit with a hair ball and no telling what else?...LOL!!

  • holy shit. I just changed mine and they are BLACK. I bought the car about 6 months ago with 183,000 miles, now with 191,000 and I'm pretty certain they are the original ones. BUT There was no metal bar to cut in mine like I've heard from a few others. Thanks for the informative work up video. It saved me TONS of time.

  • really great and easy to understand. Thank you.

  • really great and easy to understand. Thank you.

  • @ xcalix , no u have ro perform every step to get the filtee out ..... Its very easy just follow the directions

  • Is it Possible NOT to remove the bottom bracket and just pull the cabin filter from the top?

  • Took me only 25 min start to finish with the help of this bid , thanks bro

  • I had to give up because I could not get the glove box out, where are the clips? Where do you apply pressure to pop out the glove box? Can you get at the filters without removing the glove box?

  • Is there a cabin filter on a 1997 Civic Ex 2-door?

  • thanks so much for this vid. VERY helpful.

  • Thanks for the vid. This will be big help for me to replace thees.

  • Hey,

The lights and the switches on the( Dash Board the control heater, ac...etc) in my 2001 Honda Accord are not working... Help!!!!

  • Nice video! I was about to rip mine apart!

  • wow that's a horrible process. I did an '05 and an '08 in seconds since no screws to unscrew, etc.

  • thanks man !!

  • Thanks for being a bro.

  • Thanks! exactly what i needed.

  • Awesome. Video was through yet not one word spoken to distract you from the process. Does sound like there is an airport near by? :) Thank you!

  • Great video. I just changed air filters for my accord. The video helped me a lot. Thanks for posting it.

  • i just bought an accord and the person before me smoked in it, will this help remove the smell, if so where can i get the filters at?

  • @Biggiez94

Unfortunately changing the cabin filters will not remove the smoke odor that's soaked into your car upholstery. If your accord is 1998 and up, you can buy the filters online or at a Honda dealer. You can buy aftermarket filters at some auto parts store.

  • @Biggiez94 do a steam clean on all the carpet surfaces

    here's a tut.

    /watch?v=dNMAmhGrxR8

    good luck mate.

  • umm did u just put the same dirty filters back in?

  • @PQPLAYER92

The video is a demonstration on how to change your Honda cabin filters. It's common sense when you replace the filters, you put in the new ones.

  • Do you know where is the cabin filter on accord ex 1993?

  • @MrAlexdesousa

There is no cabin filters for 1993 Accords. Only for 1998 and up models.

  • Great video, it helped me. Thanks

  • This video was great, step by step and perfect!! I was able to follow along with the video. Glad I didn't pay the dealership the $60 they charge to do this.

  • Excellent video demo - thanks !!!

  • Nice. I have been wanting to have my filter replaced and finally found a good deal.

Thanks to your efforts I am confident I can do the job myself.

  • Great Video, i just changed mine and couldnt have done it without it.

  • holy sh!t, I know it's not difficult, but why did honda not make this easier to access, with toyota's and lex's you just pop down the glove box, and on some models maybe have to un-hinge it, most of the time no tools are needed at all..

  • @erikbalanza my altima filter took me all but 20 seconds to change. i would assume that companies make it hard to change so that the majority of people will go to the dealer to get this changed. and the dealer would charge you $150+ for a $20 job. however i just change my 2000 accord one and it wasn't so bad. the worst experience ive ever had was with an 02 odyssey! >:0

  • @erikbalanza In my Lancer I just have to remove the glove box (a simple clip, no tools needed) and the filter is right there. Two philips screws remove the filter, put the new one in, glove box back in and it's done. The whole process takes 2 minutes.

  • Awesome video I just finished changing the filter thank you

  • I've done this before, but what is the best way to remove the glovebox without messing up the little tabs behind it?

  • I have a 99 3.0, do filters differ between the 2.3 and the 3.0?

  • Thank you very much for posting this video. My 2000 Accord has 1333,000 miles on the clock and this was needed. I live down south and this really made a difference in my A/C. Now, if I could only get the "D" to light up on my dash when I put the car in drive I would be a happy man. Thanks again.

  • @madcaps1 you probably have a light out behind the guage cluster or you shifter connection is loose or damaged

  • Please answer my questions!, but first I want to Thank you for taking the time to make this Great instructional video!

why do you reverse the filters? isnt that going to push out everything it filtered? also whats the point of changing those filters? what does this improve? Thanks in advance!

  • @TCreatorO

This video is a demonstration of how to change the cabin filters so the old filters were used. I didn't reverse the filters and you should not do so when you change your filters. You should always use new filters when you replace them! Changing the filters filter out the debris, pollens, and odors to your cabin; improve ac air circulation; and improve air flow to the cabin. In essence, you get cleaner air.

  • @daisrang Nice, Thanks! I will do that since my car has 176k miles on it I think that would help a lot :)

  • @TCreatorO I believe what is meant is do you see how the person took the bottom filter out, slid the top one down, then took that one out? I think he means, when you replace them with the two new filters you put the new one in, slide it up, then slide the seconds new filter in. So it's like you are putting them in the reverse order. Not in fact, reversing the old ones in any fashion and putting them back in again. You're right, that would probably cause all sorts of problems!

  • @TCreatorO I think the person meant use new filters and put them in like you took them out but as if you were playing that part of the video in reverse. Slide the new one in and slide it to the top and then slide the next one in in the bottom slot.

  • I just did it but I removed the metal bar up's more work but it was easier to get the glove box in easier n filters u be surprise when u see the dirty filters I found grass dirt leaves and black dust I end up spending $15 dlls

  • @ :40 you said, pull that cover from bottom....but there is no place to pull it using finger. i failed last week at that point. is it like we need to move it up and take it out after releasing the top corners ? dont want to break it (:-

  • @321Texas If you are having trouble pulling the cover out, there's another way to do it.

    1) Pause at time :38 and watch how I pressed down the cover.

    2) Pull down the top cover out far enough to remove the screw (screw at :49). You may need someone to help you pull down the cover so you can remove the screw.

    3) Once you removed the screw, remove the second side screw (1:04).

    4) Pull and press down the middle cover as you pull out the lower panel like so at 1:25.

  • Eight minutes -- impressive!

    Thanks for posting this video...

  • Wow, just what I needed. Thank you very much!

  • I love how he just points at stuff. Lmao

  • Thanks A lot! Great video!!!

  • Thank you, best video I have seen on this.

  • Just Curious but I have a 1998 Honda Accord EX v6 coupe... Do you guys get around 220 miles on a tank of gas... Any suggestions... I've used sea foam and gas lube and the whole bit and i have new exhaust... Any Suggestion

  • @tnfireman2 You need a tune up bad. I get over 350 miles a tank in the 4 cylinder. Change spark plugs, air filter, distributor cap & rotor.

  • nice video!!! and to think honda wants to charge me 100.00 to change my cabin/air filters lol

  • cant work for right steer..it's very different......helpless

  • Great video, i know that you have a lot of people ask you this but i looked around and i couldn't find a video for 1997 honda accords. Is it the same thing?

  • Thanks for sharing this - it was a great guide. I have a 2000 Accord - the only difference I found was that some of the screws had socket heads. I would recommend that others use care when removing the glovebox - I snapped off one of the anchors inside the dash with too much brute force, when what I needed to do was clear the lip of the glovebox by the latch hook assembly more than appeared necessary. What a ridiculous process...

  • Honda I think made a boo boo with there design.

  • great vid. very helpful and nicely shot

  • thanks. you saved me some money

  • Great instruction video, THANK YOU for sharing.

  • Good to know that thanks

  • did mine in 15 mins?? ain't got the drill

  • The Honda dealers must hate you, thanks a lot, gonna DIY my filters soon.

  • Great video, thanks so much

  • I have a 99 Accord EX 2.3 Cyl, is this the same way I can change the cabin filter?

  • @chinpunpas Yes it is.

  • good job bro

  • Muchas gracias por esta informacion desde Rep. Dominicana

  • Great video I just change my cabin filter

    Thanks

  • the cabin filter is so the cabin wont smeel like ass when the ac or heat are flowing right

  • /the cabin filter is so the cabin wont smeel like ass when the ac or heat are flowing right

  • Thank you so much. This was incredible.

  • Thank you for the video you posted, it was very helpful to replaced the cabin filter by my own, good work.

  • Thanks very much for this helpful video!

  • To Cool

  • Hi,

I couldnt get the last 2 screws of the 5 in. The ones under the big panel the last 2 u screwed in back in before replacing the big panel, they screw in to the glove box I think and they just wouldn't go in...does that matter? Cuz I really don't wanna open it all back up...and the glove box is sturdy...

  • @MrYusha

Did you try to align the glovebox? if the 2 screws wouldn't go back in it should be ok,

there's a couple of screws holding the glovebox.

  • Thank you very much!!! Clear and concise. Excellent video.

  • Thanks for the video. From your Blogger site, I noticed it is for 03 and up. Is the 2002 SE, which I have, similar in reference to changing the cabin filters?

    Thx.

  • @TurboBrain2008

The procedure in this video is the same for your 2002 SE.

  • @TurboBrain2008

    Thx!

  • Very impressive. I'll try this as soon as the weather drops below 90.

  • Wow. 8 mins!! That is impressive. Great Video!

  • Thanks a million daisrang. I just changed out the cabin filters on the wife's 2000 accord, and everything was pretty easy, except for the fact that the wife had a cd stacker in the center console to replace the plastic panel. For the cd staker, I found the online installation, and had to remove the cover from around the stacker to get to the one screw holding the plastic panel in place. The 2 screws were easy, but you have to slide in a tool and rotate it to pry the 2 press clips loose.

  • thanks fantastic video, it took me about 45mins.

  • thanks very helpful

  • thank you very mach for this video

but I want ask you how you can change fuel filter for this accurd

    nice channal>>>>>>>>

  • @bashkardy

For '98 and up Accords, you don't need to change the fuel filter. The filter is lifetime and is inside the gas tank.

  • Nice vid

  • dammit, my freakin filter had more dirt than you can imagine, a freakin environmental hazard for real. I thought my ac was workin great before, i can imagine what it would do now. It took me a long time as i could not get the glove compartment to come out, still got it done anyhow. Thanks for the vid.

  • this is great vedio for me to change mine 98 accourd air filter because i think this is the reason cause my engine light on, thx

  • thanks alot for this video! i was just going to change out my filters as well! Great job!

  • Videos like this are the reason I keep watching YouTube! Thanks

  • Thanks for the video, I just done mine but not as quick as you, I did it in 30 minutes.

    btw I like your website.

  • do you have a pioneer deh-p7300? i have the same one and ur radio looks like mine.

  • @gibnihtmus

    It's a Pioneer but I don't know the model #.

  • bro, you are quick! I can now fix my fathers car, thanks!!

  • Thanks!! I couldn't have done it without you. Mine was twice as difficult because I had to remove my center console, because the tape deck frame was screwed through that lower plastic dashboard cover. Man that's a lot of work just to change the filter. Now it seems like the aircon is more powerful and free flowing.

  • i have a tape deck at the bottom of the center console. somewhat blocking that lower left screw. makes it hard to unscrew it. any ideas how to remove the tape deck.

  • Thanks for the video tutorial. I was able to do the whole project in about 20 - 30 minutes because of your precise details. I probably would not have attempted it without a good visual of the process.

  • Awesome job on the video, guys! I did this a year ago on my 99 Accord, based on the Haynes Guide, and it took me 90 minutes of pulling the wrong screws/parts/pieces. I was looking for a refresher and this will help a lot.

  • Hey Daisrang - I can't remove the 2 screws on either end of the support beam, the other 3 were very easy, I used a power screw driver & it's didn't even budge, did you have a hard time removing them & any suggestion with other tool I can used on them, thanks in advance -

  • @lonebun - Try to use a #2 screwdriver to loosen the two screws. If you can't or if the screws are stripped, use a small vise grip to loosen them.

  • This was very helpful and well put together. Thanks.

  • thanks daisrang for posting this video....appreciated ^o^

  • well it took me a while but i finally replaced the 2 cabin filters in my accord. they were very dirty. i cant believe honda wanted over 100.00 dollars. thanks for the video...

  • Great video. I can't believe shops charge almost $100 to do this.

  • @smootcw2 i could understand why, it really takes a lot of time the first time around, it's no joke, i sweated more than 8 oz of water getting it done.

  • thanks so much, almost gave up after getting so close with the bad instructions that came with the filters and not being able to do it. You saved me $100 almost just went to the dealer to do it.

  • Really good video, i just replaced my filters thanks...

  • i cant remove the center console cover. i removed the top portion but i cant remove it from the bottom... i can even see the screw that has to be removed but remove the center console and i dont want to break it lol

  • If you remove the top center cover and see no screw someone remove it and didn't put it back. If there is no srew you don't have to remove the whole cover out, just slide the right lower dash panel out.

  • i see the screw when i remove the top portion of the center console but cant seem to take the rest of the console off....should i just pull the cover down after i remove the top portion of the console? great video btw

  • Great video... I have a 98 Accord and I need to change the cabin filter and now I know how....

Thank you thank you so so so much...

  • @crysisdood Mine takes 1 minutes. Just hit the side of the compartment and things fall out. I love civics..

  • which year of the 6th gen do u have?

great video! 6th gen is a hassle to change.

    thanks

  • The car in the video is a 2000 Honda Accord.

  • Great vid, Thank you!

  • Thanks for sharing this information. The video was very nicely done with the instructions displayed.

  • in indonesia accord 98-02 dont have ac air filter.

the honda is suck... speck down.... in indonesia..

  • Interesting...I never knew that. Thanks for sharing.

  • Clear, concise instructions and best of all, a money and time saver.

  • Great video. Thank goodness the 2003 & up Honda Accords are much easier to change with no screws to remove at all. Can be done in 2 minutes on the newer Accords.

  • Very clear video and good instructions. It saved me $120! Thanks!!
