It's all CGI, this was shot in front of a green-screen on a soundstage in Burbank California for a video promotion of the (then) upcoming Simpsons Movie. We used the latest high tech technology to recreate the most visually accurate depcition of what would be a Homer Simpson dancing Christmas toy on fire. We were absolutely pleased with how remarkably real the CGI came out. A big thanks goes out to the team at VLX Studios.
