Yes! 6 Flags made IDA's Worst Zoo list yet again in 2009. Even crummy zoos don't have their animals perform silly, degrading and unnatural stunts like this.
And the same goes for the marine mammals at 6 Flags. The inherent cruelty is hidden behind the flashy shows with blaring music and pretty girls. There's nothing "educational" about it; it's cheap entertainment for the clueless.
animals belong in the wild. it is this confused civilization led by stupid people that makes this place what it is! USE YOUR MIND INSTEAD OF HAVING OTHERS USE IT FOR YOU! BE REAL, AND STAY REAL OR WE WILL ALL PERISH...
CD: yes, it was painfully obvious that she was bored and sick of performing that same stupid routine that she's been every day for God knows how long. It made me sad and ashamed to watch her. Sad for her, and ashamed to be a member of the same species who does that to her and all the other elephants in zoos, circuses, trekking camps, etc.
Dude, I've SEEN the bullhooks being used myself; and you can see them in some of my vids.
They may not use them as clubs (I certainly hope not) but they know exactly where the tender spots are to hook them with.
And just being there at the place is cruel. Elephants DO NOT belong in a crummy little paddock in an amusement park where there are -- how many rollercoasters? Around 10 or so? And how many other noisy rides?
Read other people's comments and you'll see everyone else agrees.
Ok I am sure they know all about the Animals but you are still proving No wrong is being Done. Six flags treats there animals with Respect. I woul dbe more worried about some of these Zoos than Six Flags (Not 6 Flags). People have been Giving this park alot of Greif because everyone wants to think they are doing good but when Six Flags does nothing wrong its like trying to convince fish that water is bad but they know its right. So Chill down and take a look around you all is fine at Six Flags.
Tell that to the flamingos at the park-- you know, the ones with the mutilated wings? Or did you not know about that? (See my other vid on them)
Look, the simple fact that there ARE animals at 6 Flags is wrong. It is a theme park, filled wtih roller coasters and other noisy rides and screaming visitors.
It's no place for captive animals, no matter how well they're treated.
And, sorry, but I am not going to "chill down", in fact I'm going to join IDA's demonstration out there June 20.
Because you cannot accept the truth. I am putting facts out there that PETA does more harm than Six Flags who does absolutly none. And all I see in this video is the Elephant having Fun. And getting Treats. It would probably be dead by now had it still been in Africa.
Why do you think she'd be dead? She's only 29, and elephants iive as long as humans do.
Sure, some scumbag poacher might have killed her, but who's to say?
"No harm"? Six Flags keepers use force and physical punishment to train and maintain dominance over the elephants and make them do unnatural tricks and give elephant rides.
Also see "6 Flags Mutilates Flamingos" by journeyman47.
I don't know why you keep bringing up Peta; it has nothing to do with me or this vid.
Some Scumbags Poacher, she could get sick, another Animal (Lions) Injuring her self.
They do not harm the Elephants I have friends who work for six flags in some and in Some Depts that work with the Animals. They use treats and patiance with the animals.
I can find no such website, and even if there was one I wouldn't believe it. Like I said, huge corporations that make billions of dollars don't like Peta. Making fake documents on a website would be pitifully easy for them.
As I also said, don't believe everything you read.
All of you who support PETA, I hope you all know that PETA kills hundreds of adoptable pets every year to save money. Or if you wanna average it out, about six dogs and cats every day.
Oh give me a break. Would you please stop spreading that stupid lie about PETA? It is not even a sanctuary and has no shelter of its own, it's just an animal welfare organization. There are no "adoptable" pets to kill, and the last thing members of PETA would want would be to kill any. They're there because they love animals, for Christ's sake. Go spread your idiotic lies somewhere else.
Its true. Why else would PETA have to by a $10,000 walk in Freezer? or that money from Peta was givin to a Terrorist who have been attacking buildings because people are making Vaccines? Peta people are Terrorist who also kill animals.
Seriously, do you know how many companies-- companies that make money off the exploitation and abuse of animals-- hate PETA? They have deep pockets, and can hire a lot of propaganda and negative publicity.
Frankly I'm suprised they haven't convinced America yet that PETA is a nazi group trying to take over the world.
Specking of which I love how PETA put similaritys to the Halocaust. Killing animals is nothing compaired to what the NAZIs did. You are all a bunch of Freaks of Nature brb my Veal is done.
Dude, I'm not even a member of PETA. I told you before this vid had nothing to do with them.
And ALL humans are Nazis when it comes to the way they treat animals-- except for us vegans who don't eat or wear them, or use them for experimentation or entertainment.
Look at this video, and imagine if the elephant was a retarted human, forced to perform. Wouldn't that be sick? That's how I see the whole thing. Sick.
Hi, so I know about this whole "don't support Six Flags" thing but I need to know something. So, at the end of the school year (the third to last day), the eighth graders are going on a field trip to Six Flags. Would going, but convincing the others not to go to the elephant show, ride the elephants, or go on rides close to the animals, make a difference? Or should I just not go and try to convince the other eighth graders not to go?
Great question! I applaud you going against your natural instincts to go and have a good time. I would advise discussing this with the teachers planning the outing; ask them to do some research before supporting this abuse and teaching their students to support it. They can read the truth from IDA's (In Defense of Animals) website (Google it). I would tell them you refuse to go, and tell them why, which might help them rethink their field trip choices.
Srry, that it's been a while, but I've lazy. Anyway, so I told many 8th graders about the abuse and some listened some didn't listen and are still going, but I also took your advice and told the teacher planning the outing, and he completely understood me, the problem was they already booked everything and if they cancelled the trip they'd have to return at least $15,000. But he said that it's something he can consider next year.
Just so your aware, these are more than just shows for the elephants. The shows provide enrichment and stimulation. Not to mention that on closed days and early mornings the elephants are taken for walks around the park. The trainers are positive and encouraging. And as for prizes, she is obviously being rewarded. "Heaps of food"? Would you give a kid an ice cream sundae twice a day just for doing his homework?
Oh give me a break. "Enrichment"?? That is supposed to be something that helps animals engage in their natural behavior, not perform stupid tricks for clueless visitors.
And you say elephants are "taken for walks around the park'?? What do you think they are, cocker spaniels? In the wild elephants walk for miles each day, and have a rich, complex social life. In 6 Flags they have nothing of the sort; they are prisoners perfoming like trained monkeys. How can you possibly defend that?
Thank you for so ably demonstrating the stupidity of supporters of this kind of exploitation. Your vulgar language and moronic ideas only serve to encourage me to fight even harder against 6 Flags and the abuse it engages in every day.
Man, they should at least give some sort of prize for being so "good" (when I say prize I mean things like heaps of food that elephants enjoy or something like that).
Yes, they should.... but that would cost money. Six Flags is all about making money... for the rich owners. And they will exploit whatever animals it takes to get more.

Yes! Great solutions to a tough problem.
