If anyone was was helped by this video, good for them but honestly I don't see how. The best advice it gave was to read stories. If you are one of the many it didn't help: keep looking. I'm sure there are much better videos out there and certainly there are plenty of websites to help you.

Forget all of the classes. Don't even waste your time. All that you'll get from those is how someone else might write, and that will serve you no purpose, whatsoever. Read and write on your own, send out stories to magazines, and wait to see what the response may be. There are only two possible responses; acceptance, publication and a little cash in your pocket, or the return of the manuscript. Novels? Get an agent. There is no other relevance. And there is no other way. That's all.
