No turtles were harmed? Weren't they caught on hooks, and then you just cut the line? Plus, if you hold them by the tail like that, it can break the vertebrae and cause ascending necrosis - a painful and very slow death. I'm a chick, and I handle 15 lb snappers regularly by their shells, I only use the base of the tail to stabalize the turtle at first, I never pick it up by the tail. If I can do it, you can too.
I know it doesn't fit the video, we had a song playing in the background and us talking over it but there was copyright issues so we had to use a youtube track.
We caught the biggest one of the year today, we were on our way back from eating lunch and decided to head out there on a whim and forgot to grab the camera so we lost the biggest turtle yet. Got a few pics on the cell phone though, gonna try to add em in the new video, which is still in the works. Thanks for the response

Nice snappers guys :D I've caught a few in my day about that size but usually the ones I get are around 10 pounds or so.
