Well, depending of wich character you got, they have a different timing for whem you have to press the accelerate button. Like Eggman and Big the Cat is just before the 3 disapear. Same thing for Zobio & Zobiko. But for the other characters, yeah, it's when it say 2.

@chinamanli , actually Its more of a crash team racing clone. I would say that that game was a mario cart clone but, overall, other than the fact you used a cart and raced it played differently.

I think the boost can vary depending on vehicle though. I feel like I have to push the accelerator after 2 for light vehicles, yet for heavy vehicles, I have to do it almost immediately.
