He's brilliant, I recently made a video with my mate playing in an even smaller 5 a side goal, I mean really tiny like chest height, and I thought I made some good saves but even then I conceded reasonably often which is a shame since I've been playing for around 6-7 years!

@2525zola2525 5 a side is a different game, goalkeeping is about reaction saves with feet or hands. the only time I catch a shot is if it is hit straight at me. 5 a side is much faster than 11 a side, the shots come in thick and fast, thats why it is about reaction. Have you played 5 a side? In my opinion 5 a side is great for keepers to practice shot stopping and narrowing down the angle of the shots.

V good saves there lad keep it up! Its not about how spectacular the save is or how much you dive around.. some of the best saves can come from one on ones, not going down easiley or being able to re-adjust your body within a confined space..

In all honesty people ok now im 23 and i play in goal for a 5 a side league in southampton england and for a goalkeeper you have to have the best reaction speeds and agility.a shot from 5 meters out at roughly travels at 30mph to 40mph and to adjust your body and mind to stop that ball is as hard as it gets.its all split second reactions and anyone who disagrees really needs to watch a live 5 a side match

I am a regular player of five a side football and no it is not easy no matter how big or small the sticks are, like dexkeldex stated you need to have pretty damn good reactions to save a shot coming at you from 3 meters away from you with venom. People that slate this guy have not a clue

Over dramatic perhaps but the lad stil has talent and good reactions. People may mock 5 a side with the small goals but you need to be able to react quickly when someone fires a 30mph shot  at you from 3 metres!

The easiest are where you have to react quickly, and to be fair this looks like a training session where you're already anticipating the shot. You should put some videos of you in real matches on here. Be a good judge of how good you really are.

That net is what, 4-5 feet tall?

As for the actual saves, there are several things. First, there is too much wasted motion. You didn't really need to dive for many of those shots; you're making it harder on yourself. Second, try keeping your arms together so you can actually catch the ball. In case you don't know, catching the ball is ALWAYS better than swatting it away, when possible. And there is no rule saying that your arms have to stay on their respective sides and never cross your body...

It's cool to be a little Oliver Kahn sometimes, and fake te save, but you don't have to make many films where u just do the same simple saves everytime. a tip on how to catch a ball is first dive with both arms stretched exactly at the same moment with youre hands wide open, then when you jump even on low balls to give you more jumping distance lift youre feet off the ground and just grab the ball and push it on the ground then to fall fallsideways on the ball.
