They certainly can be loud and this is normal for them.They can have a temper and be stubborn as well but they are so full of personality and are so much fun.I have a 3yr old BFA named pepper who says over 100 words plus sounds so take heart you have a wonderful bird there.Each parrot had his or her own unique personality by birth but it can be shaped by you quite a bit.Thanks for sharing.

After about 10 seconds of listening to Ollie, all my birds got really quiet and listened intently. They must like what Ollie has to say....or sing. :-)

he looks so happy! it looks like his beak is showing signs of vitamin A deficiency-white marks and a little flakiness? my blue front and red belly have it (when i took them to the vet to get their wings trimmed she noticed it). it's so upsetting because i thought they had a really healthy diet. Let me know if you're interested in what my vet recommended :)

Thanks for the concern :) But our vet seems to think Ollie is good (when I first adopted him he was overweight and still had some brown greasy feathers from a poor diet the first few years of his life.). He is on a diet that includes Harrisons organic pellets, fresh veggies/fruit as well at some healthy people food!

No need to excuse your singing, golly it's better than most who have recording deals. However Ollie made me crack up. I love Blue Fronts because they are really quite the clowns of the bird world, even in the wild. Have you ever seen what music Ollie likes? I'd found out my Aiko (Nanday Conure) loves heavy metal but absolutely hates Jimi Hendrix! Something tells me Ollie might get into some old AC/DC.

Well I wouldn't say they are quite as loud at the larger sized cockatoos... but he can really belt it out when he wants too. He has one really loud contact call that is like nails on a chalk board to me, hahaha! They would not be a good choise if you live in an apartment.

Well it really depends on the idividual bird. In many cases they are more apt to "cuddle" when they are young. As they reach maturity they may lose some of that. I would say that most will take to at least head scritches in their older age. However some Zons love to cuddle no matter the age, hahaha. But all in all not a super snuggle bug which I think is nice, seeing how my conure is basically velcroed to me when I let him be.
