The garter snake ones aren't as good so I'm going to replace them with a bigger snake video. I also have a setup video for my lizards, i need to get the 2 part out though.
Are your animals teritorial because i had over 20 small animals in a forty gallon terrarium with four fowlers toads the were about four to six inches because mine just destroyed everything i.e., jumped on everythind, destroyed the roots , and killed each other and ate some of the lizard eggs. please respond.
beautiful.... wow! this is really cool! but could come to my channel and help me out... cause im new and dont nearly the amount of views you have and it would really help! thanks!!(thumbs up)
@SuperDZproductions But we didn't all have to start like this (as in, with a horribly overcrowded tank with the wrong conditions for half the animals in it). They may have been new at the time, but it shows a lack of arrogance or simply plain idiocracy to even attempt this, beginner or not.
you put a reptile with an amphibian? thats a little weird since they like totally different things. and amphibians don't like it as hot as reptiles it drys out there skin. but i guess if there happy and healthy.....
by the way,im hoping the average joe checking out or consulting youtube for advice doesnt take yours...no rotteness intended but if you dont have the proper enviroment to care for an animals needs please do not make an impulse purpose.hopefully over time you realized its best to keep em separated.
awesome...i dont think ive ever seen or thought anyone was retarded enough to have so many different reptiles in a high stress inevitable death box.but...im assuming from hearing the godawful attempt to play a metallica song that death and cruelty must be cool right?metallica sucks btw
can i put green anoles (wild caught) with a peacock day gecko. the reason i think this is okay is i have a 50g tall terrarium, and my peacock day gecko will only get to 5-6 inches, how about leaf tails or treefrogs? please message back, the expo is coming up quickly.

@FishMan329 no anoles are territorial lizards by nature that inhabit and defend their positions into areas they populate even against one another.i own7 reps and strongly advise that this guys videos deal out the wrong advice a majority of the time and people who are new to the herp hobby shouldnt consult someone who is so challenged.mix terrariums are a no go unless you dont mind your animals not living their full life span
im getting a 55 gal for my house gecko and my green tree frogs could i mix them with different lizards and frogs and add water to the bottom of it P.S. work on ur guitar playing
@SxDx1986 thanks but actually i have them together now and they have been just fine and yeah ive been playing guitar for about 4 years now and this guy seems that hes been playing for 2 days
@MeetMaddie I definitly wouldnt recommend it, pygmy chameleons and all chameleons for that matter die easily from stress and since its small the crested gecko is that much more intimidating.
@Vivlover1 agreed...but i watched another video of this idiots and despite an animal dieing he claimed "the expos coming up so i can buy more."impulse buyers suck and mixed terrariums are a bad idea...i dont have a degree in herpiculture or zoology but after raising various reptiles for since i was young i feel like i know what im doing and all of my guys are happy
Put a video entitled 'mixed herp terrarium' on youtube and your bound to get stick... I don't see why people can't house their fucking herptiles seperatly. They may "live" together but they certainly won't thrive in these kind of conditions! Especially in a tiny 20 Gallon tank...
Now this is what I call animal abuse! Wtf, I totally agree with yoyokng11!
Perhaps your mom doesn't want too many tanks, but that doesn't mean you can just throw them all in there, chose ur most favorite, and take proper care of it! Like the croc gecko for instance!
You know colonies of Slimy Sals have been found living out their entire lives in caves to get away from heat? You have a combo of Animals that come from the cooler climates of the US as well as some that can be found in the hotter sub tropical areas and you did research?
@Hardcorecolubrids Talk about misinformed. Dont jump on someone in a passive aggressive way if you have no clue as to of what that comment was about. I have plenty of Reptiles and Amphibians and I always have. Thats not the problem. Dont open your mouth so quickly putz.
@Hardcorecolubrids Seriously dude? Let me guess, mom just bought you your first Leopard Gecko and now she took off internet restrictions which in turn makes you tough. This is a old post!! I said that in regards to a comment that no longer even exists for some reason. You're a tool man, its so old I forget what it even was. Shut the fuck up douche and rise off. Its old news.
I LOVE this tank really Really good job youre reptiles look like they love the enclosure
and the way you made the inside of the tank with the combination of stuff you found outside and stuff you bought at a store is really really cool great job! I'm also building a 20 gallon for 4 hermit crabs and i already have a 20 gallon so if you have any tips please respond. GREAT job! :)
what do you think about putting an eastern garter snake (brown with yellow stripped dow the back )in there living with the crested geko(thats the one im most worried about) i have a 20 gallon tank but tall not long like yours and i have a garter snake in there i want a crested gecko . what do you think?
for it and i was wonder what you of putting a crested gecko (bought from petco) in the tank with it but the snake wont attack a cockaroach in the tank . if i put up a lot of fake plants hanging on the top with a hammock with it you think the snake wont bother the gecko and the gecko wont bother the snake ?
@JimmyT1643 you cannot mix species especially a snake and something else. The snake would undoubtedly eat the gecko. The crested would be food in a short amount of time.
hey i like your tank a lot because its the long 20 gallon but anyways i have a 20 gallon tall tank and i have a garter snake in it right not its a eastern garter snake(caught it the wild) brown with yellow stripps on the back, the snake is about 2 ft long i have a nice bought tree from petco
@icrabby No species would prefer to be in a smaller container over a larger one. If i set up a 100g tank properly for a small herp like a leopard gecko, as long as there is ample food, and ample hides the leopard gecko would be no worse than if it were set up in a 20 long in the traditional sense.
what state do u live in to catch anole? i was just in florida and there were tons of em..but i live in washington state and all we have on eastern side for lizzards are blue tailed( 5 lined) skinks
haha you droped the 2 frogs but still cool i have the same thing with 2 anoles and a gecko and a frog you should check it out im making a update soon when i find my video cam
not really, there is a lot of money you can save too. A 20 gallon tank is usually like $20 and if you watch our money saving video that could help a lot too.
it really depends on what your holding, but for the most part gekos are like smooth and theyre feet feel cool the way they hold on to you... i really cant describe them its too general.
this summer im plannin on doing a mixed terrarium... just gunna catch the stuff tho =/
normally i dont catch things but idk i might.. lots of red back salamanders, some frogs, a few tree frogs, and tons of other cool stuff round my house... im not gunna put any snakes in it tho(obviously) but we got everything from milk snakes, gartner snake, and water snakes to copperheads, rattlesnakes, and even cottonmouths(ahh) round here...but ima stick to frogs and lizards for mix
i have a mixed tank. it has 1 whites tree frog, 2 fire belly toads, and 2 paddle tail newts. This is the only successful tank that i have had with mixed spieces. its been running for 15 years. but some have died off. only due to old age though i had them for at least 9 years as the newts dont live that long. and now i have a 3yo tree frog in there and tey are the same toads. they are getting very old!
Bufotoxin can and will kill anoles. When i was a teen way back in the day, I put my anoles in a in 10 gallon with a couple toads. It was just for a couple hours while I was cleaning the vivaria. Anyway all my anoles died from the bufotoxin.
What you do is your concern, but I think you might have trouble brewing
what would be cool is getting a mate for your anole and putting the other critters in the own homes, grow some live plants and get those anoles to breed.
You didn't research well. Amphibians secret poison from their skin which will affect your lizards. There is no way that each of these herps inhabit the same niche in the ecosystem. That is why anoles are displacing the local lizards in florida.
Frogs and salmanders need high humidity.
Croc geckos need low humidity and around 86 Fahrenheit, whereas most frogs need room temp i.e. 76 Fahrenheit.
Anoles need relatively high humidity with temps around 90.
@yoyokng11 im pretty sure he is tryinglet him do his thing and from what i can tell its doin fine quit being a hater cause you cant make the same thing
@icrabby You have no idea what you are talking about. Two species cannot inhabit the same viv. I'm not going to teach you basic biology, but this kid is placing species that inhabit different niches together in the same tank. I can't overstate how disgusted i am. You have done no serious research about any herp at all. Please herps are my love and my passion at least do some research before you spread this filth around the internet. You are 10 times worse than the op because you are enabling him
@yoyokng11 some passion you dont know exactly how long hes been doin this personally idc how long youve been doin it all my pets are still alive and very happy and its another thing to say tht im spreading filth and saying im worse than him....there is no being worse than him youwanna know why...CAUSE HES DOING IT RIGHT DUH. now after you read this go play some runescape you pathetic 30 yr old fucktard
@colin123406 This is only true of some amphibians, such as poison dart frogs, that produce their toxins as a result of the food they eat in the wild (and don't get in captivity).
Others, for example the fire bellied toad, produce their own toxins, irrespective of whether or not they're kept in captivity.
@yoyokng11 This guy clearly has no idea. I dont know much about amphibians but i do know that these hrps should not be kept together. He doesnt understand that just bcause they arent trying to eat each other dos not mean they can be housedunder the same conditions. Ill be suprised if any of these herps live a 10th of there expected life span
I don't believe in mixing lizards with frogs for the simple reason of infecting each other with parasites. Most anoles have parasites. Once the frogs get it they go down fast
I bought a leopard gecko from PETSMART and it died about a month later - it was infected with parasites and treatment was futile. anoles are caught from the wild and sold to pet stores-it's impossible for them not to be parasitized.
well did you check to make sure it was vet checked? Most likely not. And now more and more anoles are being bred in captivity because it is extremely east fo this to be done. This means its really not impossible for them to be parasite free.
that should do well, i believe anoles and fence lizards do well together, and a green tree frog should do well as long as you supply plenty of arboreal hiding places.
I really like your video because im a reptile freak, i love them a lot. I actually have my own videos too, you should check em out. The garter snake ones aren't as good so I'm going to replace them with a bigger snake video. I also have a setup video for my lizards, i need to get the 2 part out though.

Are you even trying?

@yoyokng11 im pretty sure he is tryinglet him do his thing and from what i can tell its doin fine quit being a hater cause you cant make the same thing
icrabby 1 year ago
@icrabby You have no idea what you are talking about. Two species cannot inhabit the same viv. I'm not going to teach you basic biology, but this kid is placing species that inhabit different niches together in the same tank. I can't overstate how disgusted i am. You have done no serious research about any herp at all. Please herps are my love and my passion at least do some research before you spread this filth around the internet. You are 10 times worse than the op because you are enabling him
yoyokng11 1 year ago
@yoyokng11 some passion you dont know exactly how long hes been doin this personally idc how long youve been doin it all my pets are still alive and very happy and its another thing to say tht im spreading filth and saying im worse than him....there is no being worse than him youwanna know why...CAUSE HES DOING IT RIGHT DUH. now after you read this go play some runescape you pathetic 30 yr old fucktard
icrabby 1 year ago
@yoyokng11 You know nothing about anoles. There already are NATIVE anoles living in Florida though brown anoles were introduced

@yoyokng11 leave him alone dang! obviously the animals r fine living together
Angellove8813 1 year ago
@Angellove8813 thank you lmao, this is a pretty old video, and the tank isnt together anymore, but they were fine like that.

@Angellove8813 yeah i know right? dont worry about it, they're probably all dead by now anyways.

@yoyokng11 amphibians arent poisinos in captivity
colin123406 1 year ago
@colin123406 This is only true of some amphibians, such as poison dart frogs, that produce their toxins as a result of the food they eat in the wild (and don't get in captivity).
Others, for example the fire bellied toad, produce their own toxins, irrespective of whether or not they're kept in captivity.
PhenomenonX 1 year ago
@yoyokng11 This guy clearly has no idea. I dont know much about amphibians but i do know that these hrps should not be kept together. He doesnt understand that just bcause they arent trying to eat each other dos not mean they can be housedunder the same conditions. Ill be suprised if any of these herps live a 10th of there expected life span

Nice vivarium! Quick question: how do you feed/water a Green Anole? I caught on in my yard.
AnimalRescuer268 2 years ago
they eat small crickets// but you have to spray water on the sides of the tank n they lick it off
bigFOXxo7 2 years ago
Just give them a water bowl and they should be all set.

I don't believe in mixing lizards with frogs for the simple reason of infecting each other with parasites. Most anoles have parasites. Once the frogs get it they go down fast
WinterHaven 2 years ago
in most cases i'd agree with you, but i got this anole from petsmart so it was vet checked and assured to not have any parasites;)
Beardedgecko 2 years ago
I bought a leopard gecko from PETSMART and it died about a month later - it was infected with parasites and treatment was futile. anoles are caught from the wild and sold to pet stores-it's impossible for them not to be parasitized.
WinterHaven 2 years ago
well did you check to make sure it was vet checked? Most likely not. And now more and more anoles are being bred in captivity because it is extremely east fo this to be done. This means its really not impossible for them to be parasite free.
Beardedgecko 2 years ago
thats a lie. most anoles are not wild caught, as they are sold as babys and juvi's in many stores. they are bred alot.
TheBeastWithinYou 2 years ago
i was thinking about mixing an anole, a gree tree frog, and maybe a fence lizard... you think that would be alright
BMXer1654 2 years ago
that should do well, i believe anoles and fence lizards do well together, and a green tree frog should do well as long as you supply plenty of arboreal hiding places.
Beardedgecko 2 years ago
thanx, thats what it thought, im gonna put a bunch of driftwood and stuff in there. and some natural wood hiding spots.
BMXer1654 2 years ago
yea, you can also try using hook suction cups availible at pretty much any craft or dollar store o stick plants to walls ant whatnot
Beardedgecko 2 years ago
how many inches is your tank
eublepharisgeckos3g 2 years ago
idk, 10 gallon
BMXer1654 2 years ago
can you mix two fire bellied toads and an anole?
DinoKillar 2 years ago
yea that would work fine unless its a really small anole, in which case it risks being eaten lol.
