YUM!! Love, love, love Scott! "Piano Man" is one of my favorite episodes. G4 has been showing Quantum Leap. They have the episodes numbered wrong, but I don't care. My Favorite episode "The Wrong Stuff". Sam leaps into BoBo the chimp, training for the space program. Scott wears a diper the whole time. <3

Did Scott Bakula write this song? I owned the QL soundtrack on cassette tape years ago and it seems like I remember it saying that he wrote it...am I remembering this correctly?

@JenCon1978 Yes, Scott and Ray Bunch wrote this song for the episode "Piano Man". Scott has called it a campy lounge song. I don't think he realized how much his fans loved it.

i adore Scott Bakula, and yes! he is the hottest at 58 (went to see him at the Menier Chocolate Factory, he spent most of the first act in his swimming trunks, total value for money). He is also a great musician and singer, but guys, charming as this video is, the boy here sings FLAT!!! quarter of a tone at least. But who cares, woo-hoo, we love you Scott!

@sirenettalondinese Scott sang this with just a little bit of notice. You will see that his has been so long that he has the lyrics in his hand. I was at this performance, the acoustics in the room were terrible. It really did sound much better.  He was not flat.

I definitely like this song better than Fate's Wide Wheel, another song Scott sang in QL, but I think Fate has this one beat in terms of poignancy. The line that always gets me from that song is "Please let there be one final leap", which, of course, there never was. So sad!

@TATTYBOY71 yup I guess we all know what you mean though. It's not eally much of a song but I guess next to the QL theme this song IS QL. It holds dear memories of time gone by. Them good old days. Some songs just hold great memories... Hearing and seeing Scott sing it again chocked me up, and I guess every other leaper that attended the leapcon in 2009
