However, the portion of your hair growing outside of your scalp is not living tissue and no hair conditioner actually "nourishes" your hair. What hair conditioner can do is coat the shaft of your hair with things like silicone with the intention of smoothing the cuticle and keeping moisture in and the elements out. I hope this helps!
