  • Anyone find it funny how the crackers put scrolling text in while the programmers explained they did not?

  • Jaj, annyira szerettem. Ez volt az egyik kedvencem.

  • This game was fun.

  • I dunno guys, but this is pretty close to how fast it plays on my C64...

  • to fast :(

  • somebody help me please! I use CCS64, can't play my favorite game, because when I'm in the menu bar I can't scroll to the last two options (something about bats I think) so I can't 'press space bar to exit'. Actually, I can't do anything but exit the emulator. It is really annoying. I tried everything, doesn't work. Somebody with the same problem? Probably not but thanks anyway. :)

  • m5fan4ever - Try this...

    Load game

    Go to emulator options

    Select 'Input'

Where it says 'Mode' change both joystick ports to 'keyset 1'

Now go down to 'Define Joystick Keyset' and set up the keys you to perform actions as you wish. Tip: choose space bar as Fire Button 1.

Now go back to the game and try to operate it. If it's still not working, go back to the emulator options and select 'Swap Ports'.

You should be able to play it now. If you have any trouble, let me know.

    Good Luck.

  • @97channel It wasn't working so I had to swap ports, and it worked. I figured that out few days after this comment, but thanks anyway.

  • It's good that Ben was able to cut his teeth on stuff like this, otherwise he may not have been able to go on to make the ultimate C64 soundtrack masterpiece that is the music to Last Ninja (with Anthony Lees).

  • Ben Daglish - legend

  • haha I loved this game, forgot all about it though. For me this was the original 'block busting' game :D

  • Ah... emulator Crap... :( the real thing is the shit! Emulators hates freedom!

  • LUV the game.......gotta modify my arcademachine

    into MAME..........

  • WONDERFUL MUSIC! WONDERFUL!

  • It's playing too fast!

Just played this on a real C64.

  • Yeah, it's tough getting the emulator to play at the proper speed. Messing around with the PAL/NTSC settings helps, but neither seem to be perfect.

  • I use CCS64 and it works fine for me...

  • @discolando: you should be able to set the emulator speed somewhere in the settings. I'd say something around 70-80% would be ok.

  • @discolando

Do you know the author/origin of the tune from the intro?

  • @dritokonj2 It was written by Ben Daglish, famous for writing a lot of great C64 music.

  • @discolando

No, I know that, I meant the INTRO music. :D The music from the intro to the game, not the game intro music.

  • @dritokonj2 Oh, my bad... I'm not sure to be honest.

  • I hate this music (sorry Ben!).

The game is very addictive ! Just cant stop playing it.

  • This song is my favorite all-time C64 song. Did anyone else see Ben Daglish's demo Drum?

  • I've been whistling this tune for what seems like 20 years. At last I remember where I first heard it :-)

  • those were the days

  • ooh.. those beautiful days :)

  • Where's the gameplay??

  • this music is burnt into my head from playing this damn game for hours. This tune haunts me.
