Brocade on the Advantages of the Brocade 8000 Series over the Cisco Nexus 5000

First, the Cisco Nexus 5000 does not require a Cisco MDS to operate. It can operate in Fibre Channel switched mode connecting directly to storage.

Second, there are no existing IEEE CEE standards. There are IEEE 802.1 Data Center Bridging Task Group projects. These were not standards when this video was made, and are not yet standards.

Third, Cisco offers two models of Nexus 5000, one with 20 Ethernet and six 8Gb FC ports, and a larger one with 40 Ethernet and twelve 8Gb FC ports.
