@juska801 well my suggestion if you're a beginner is a Yamaha vertical piano or if you have enough resources you could look for a Stainway like the one that She's playing on this video, It's her piano, She brought it from London just for this series of performances (Beethoven's 5 piano concertos)
Hello! I am in Saudi Arabia and would like to join the Digital Concert Hall. What are the requirements .............. can registration be done from anywhere on the globe. Are the archive videos downloadable. Thanks a lot!
I have the privilege to see her play this concerto at the Barbican Hall last night. Truly magical experience. Her interpretation was unique without "over interpreting". She has mesmerised all concert goers. Truly a privilege of a life time.
There is a harmony all over this performance. And I guess, there are no words to express the greatness of it. When listening to this performance, all my minds get cleaned by music, only this music is left then in my head...
I'm surprised. I could see myself at the audience first parquet row. I know I was there and its can happens, but I was not expecting. Funny sensation...
Maybe it is just me being old-fashioned but what is with the dress code? To me (with those ties) they look like a chartered accountant's amateur orchestra! Otherwise it's simply divine.
@BerlinPhil Thanks for your reply, I'm rather honoured. However, this doesn't bring me off my question, can't they have all identical ties, maybe in white? I really am disappointed but I probably need to start to just concentrate on the important issues! Thanks again.
@bloedohneleerzeilen I fucking hate his behavior during orchestra performance. it's not the first time he's showing whatever he's feeling at the moment more obviously than anyone ever.
Music from Heaven!! I remember a dream I got with this melody... simple the strongest musical moment of my life... Thanks Uchida, thanks Rattle and thanks very much Berliner Philharmoniker for this gift!!
I want to learn to play the piano. Any suggestions on the style/brand of piano to get?

Make Digital Concert Hall content FREE please?
kads8679 10 months ago 6
@kads8679 Unfortunately, it costs the orchestra a fortune to produce these videos, so there needs to be a refund.

This is so beautiful; The greatest degree of inner tranquility comes from the development of love, compassion and the love for music.

@TheBadbury The musicians usually wear swallow-tail coats, but only in the evening (whereas this was a morning performance).

this is simply one of the most beautiful things I've heard. Mitsuko Uchida is a great inspiration
I'm really curious as to who designs her clothing

You have to post her playing without the picture. Sound is beautiful, but the image... Mayer also adds to the weirdness of this clip.

Or maybe he is so into this piece that he had his head down to meditate.... (1:40~1:51). It is rare to see so in a professional orchestra though.

@bloedohneleerzeilen Perhaps he is just lost in the music, it is a rather good piece after all.
