  • anyone know where you can get on of these from, most places dont stock them or accept credit card payments instead of paypal, im in uk btw

  • @blackgadget

There's a link to where you can buy one with a credit card in the description of Part 1 of my tutorial.

That's exactly where I bought mine from; I can vouch for the site- it's totally safe.

It took a while for it to get to my house though (something like 2-3 weeks).

But that's only because it had FREE shipping from Hong Kong. =P

The packaging was pretty damn good, too... It was very secure when I recieved it.

  • ok sorry i am a noob at this lol but i opened the ez client and i see in your video you already have a file named "GBA" in the "Look in:" search bar. i was wondering does the client have all of the GBA games in it already or do i have to get them from somewhere else? if so where do i get them from? any help asap would be much appreciated

  • What happens if you save in the game, then turn off the handheld. And you don't boot it up again for a month or so, does it not save?

  • @sorterwoodsteel

I can't say for sure, but I'd imagine the save data would still be there. =P

It'd probably be wiped if the internal battery were to die, though... but my guess is that it would take a REALLY long time for that to happen... *_*

  • what excatly do you mean by save states

  • @spiffy619

A savestate is basically a special kind of save that basically freezes an instance of the game and lets to go back to that exact moment any time you want.

  • @WildWolfG Will it effect game clock?

  • @superpoop899

I'm assuming you're referring to the battery life.

I honestly don't know (since so few games actually utilize a game clock), but I haven't heard anyone saying anything anything notable about playing Pokemon Gold or Silver (one of the few games that use it) on their EZ Flash IV...

I'm actually going to run a test on a new method of getting GB/GBC games to work.

If it does work, I'll be remaking those 2 tutorials.

  • Anyway to still buy these? I just bought a Gameboy Micro and want to get one of these. Thanks in advance.

  • @JacJavJac

I think there's a link in the description of part 1 of my tutorial. =P

I just bought mine like a few months ago, so you should still be able to get one.

  • @WildWolfG Great, thanks. :)

  • @JacJavJac

    No problemz, man.

  • Does the ez flash iv drain more battery from the gba? If so is it suppose to drain batteries drastically? Or just a little. Cuz I've noticed my micro runs low on batts faster than usual.

  • @AdventureTimeTube

I think it does drain more battery than normal GBA games.

I'm not exactly sure why, though...

Anyway, I've been able to get 5 1/2 hours of playtime with my EZ Flash IV on a fully-charged battery on my Micro.

I'm not sure what the battery life is for normal GBA games, though... o_o

  • @WildWolfG yea but you cant compare battery life gba micro even if it is the newest gba (micro) its still 7 yrs old came out 2005

  • @DjStiv3

Yeah, the Micro's pretty old, but apparently, the EZ-Flash IV drains power more quickly than normal GBA games, and I WAS able to get almost exactly 5 1/2 hours of battery life out of my Micro with my EZ-Flash IV.

That's pretty damn good, I think... but honestly, I RARELY have 5 1/2 hour gaming sessions anymore, especially on handheld consoles.

  • hey i have a question so i am gonna buy this for my gba and i wanna put pokemon emrald on it , should it save when i play it and can i trade pokemon with the link cable/

  • @Trunks3789

As far as I know, NES, GB, and GBC games DO NOT SAVE. x_X

...Well... technically, the games DO save, but the save data always seems to get erased after about an hour or so.

I have NO IDEA why this happens, but apparently, it's a problem with the emulators used to play the games (Goomba, Goomba Color, PocketNES)...

And as far as I know, nobody is able to get these games to save.

I've tried so many things to get the saves to work, but I haven't been able to figure it out.

  • @Trunks3789

GBA games save perfectly fine, though; that's all I use it for. =P

    As for link cable connectivity...

I haven't tried it, but I'd imagine it should work. o_o

  • @WildWolfG good thnaks ill try it out:P

  • @Trunks3789

    Good luck, bro. >_<^

  • Hey wildwolfg can u make a tutorial on how to English patch mother 1+2 and put it on our ez flash iv? Please.

  • @AdventureTimeTube

    Try going here:

    mother12.earthboundcentral(DOT)(COM)

I don't remember exactly what you're supposed to do, but I don't remember it being too complicated. =P

  • @WildWolfG ive went there and did what it said, i patched it and ended up with a file weird file type that was different than .gba. is mother 1+2 a gba game or a nes/gb game? im not sure

  • @AdventureTimeTube

It should be a GBA game. Same as Mother 3. =x

  • @WildWolfG Well I ordered my ez flash yesterday and it hasn't come yet so I'm just getting everything set up for when it actually comes. So on my actual computer I patched the roms into a folder on my desktop called gameboy advance. Is the reason that the folder wasn't created because I need to format my memory card and make the out path of the rom into the memory stick, then the saver folder will be created?

  • When i patched the gba games, it didnt create a saver folder. I enabled save patch too. what happened?

  • @AdventureTimeTube

It should have created a folder called "saver" where you sent the patched game to.

    o_o The folder isn't there?

  • just one question .... in the EZ4 Client, the two save size fields (i know the first should be save type), are they meant to contain the rom's current save type and size or the save type and size you want to convert to??? if its the latter, then thats why i can't save properly on my pokemon games and i dont know if thats the problem with everyone else as well ....

  • @InFeRnO954

I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be the save type/size you want to convert the game to.

To be safe, I always patched GBC games (in the EZ4 client) and set the save size to be larger than I thought it'd be.

But I've always had problems getting GB/GBC/NES games to save. No matter what I tried, the saves/savestates would keep getting wiped after some time. =/

I've researched it quite a bit, and I haven't been able to figure out a way to make it work. x_x

  • I know why it names them weird. It doesn't normally go by the file name, but the ROM name. And you can rename it to what you want, if it's just one. But you can't rename them if you're doing batch files.

i.e. Legend of Zelda - The Minish Cap:

My File Name: Legend of Zelda, The - Minish Cap

    Actual ROM Name: Zelda-Minish Cap

It selects whatever the default ROM Name is.

  • @jakeh2034

    Ahh... That's interesting.

There's no way to actually change the ROM name (not the file name), right? I just checked out the properties of some games, and I didn't see any strange names at all.

It seems like the weird names are just part of the files, themselves. o_O

  • congratulations great video, however I must ask you something. I want to buy a gbmicro and the ezflash iv, but i've read that the battery life is 4 hours playing with this flashcard, is that true?

  • @uboligu1

    Thanks a lot, man!

Hmm... 4 hours sounds a bit short to me, but I could be wrong... (I haven't been paying that much attention to the battery life) =P

Honestly, I would guess it lasts about 5-6 hours.

I'll do an actual test soon and get back to you with what I find.

  • @uboligu1

I can get exactly 5 1/2 hours of battery life with my GBA Micro playing my EZ Flash IV. =P

  • @WildWolfG

thanks a lot men, unfortunately that's not enough for me, anyway you saved me and saved my money. I think I'll buy a psp for playing gba games (that's stupid but works for me xD), and again thanks a lot :)

  • @uboligu1

    lol No problem man.

    Glad I could help. =)

Hacked PSPs are awesome, by the way! I have one too. ^_^

  • haha yeah i've honestly searched EVERYWHERE and there's no straight forward guide :s

    awesome thanks that'd be great!

  • Hey, don't suppose you'd be willing to upload a video showing how to add visual boy advance sav. files onto the ez flash iv??

  • @superindustrial1

Did a real quick google search, and I actually found you asking this question on a forum. lol

I also came across someone who uses something called "Shuny's Online Converter."

According to the poster, it works, but it's a long process. o_o

I'll spend a little time looking into it tomorrow. I'll get back to you with what I find. =P

  • these have helped me a ton! thanks alot man

  • @jackiechanfan1112

    No problem, bro!

Thanks for watching, and I'm glad I could help. =)
