Hey man love the skills and love the sound. Love it so much I ordered the same smiths, aguilar preamp, mid switch, 2 series/paralell switches. Im getting the preamp prewired from bestbassgear.I only have 1 problem. Mr Smith doesnt supply wiring diagrams for the pups. It would be a blessing if you could give me hand with some schematics.Thanks. And keep those awesome vids coming!

ok man at the end witch pups sound better with the aguilar obp3 preamp? have tried other preamps? other pups? single coil perhaps? so you'd recomend a cheap bass and customize it? in you're opinion do you feel happy with the brice bass after the mods?

which brand ok pickup sounds better in your view between the Smiths and Barts? I have a Ken Smith bass and it sounds sweet and thinking about doing a new custom bass project with bart pickups and aguilar obp3 pre.

@mac2damax Kind of depends on personal preference. Barts to me are hit or miss. Those split coils are very nice though. The smiths offer a nice tone with a very unique character in the high end. They have more of a burp than a splat that is assosiated with fenders.

0:32... the lugs on the pickups backs... total Kent Armstrong work right there! I've never seen anyone else make pickups like that. Not quite as handy as EMG's "quik-connect" system, but better than having fragile hard-wired leads that can break off inside the pickup assembly!

Ken will wire them at the shop for you. I declined because I didn't want top pay for the series/parallel switches, because I already had some. Just tell him how you want them. If you already ordered them without wiring then send a message cause it's a somewhat long process
