  • they like to be wrapped like that i think they feel comfortable because they are used to being cramped in the womb so i think this wrapping feels similar to that

  • Oh, this is horrible! In Slovakia we simply use the the swaddling clothes that are of a good quality, made of feathers, warm for winter.WE do not need to make it too tight.

In summer we buy thinner swadling clothes.:-)

  • That kid is happy!

  • omg that is adorable.

  • aw hes so adorable exspecially when he sneezed

  • Im having my 1st soon. Thank you for sharing! This is the YouTube generation!!!

  • Yum Yum..Baby Burrito..me wants..can i have some hot sauce with it?

  • the baby loves it when it's tight. awe this is so cute. I'm just cruising baby videos bc I WANT ONE!!!

  • do we eat the baby after?

  • It's hard:(

  • You can tell it works, because the baby went from being fussy to falling asleep lol...loved this <3

  • BABY BURRITO!!!!!!! looks so yummy(:

  • Sorry but I have NEVER seen them wrap up the head. The point is to keep them warm with out putting a blanket around them to prevent smothering. Isn't is pointless to put it around thier head with a cap on also?!?!

  • @Rkjacks88 he was a premature baby so keeping him warm was important. New born babies don't know how to adjust their temperatures yet...

  • My developmental prof showed this in class. Hahaha. Cute baby.

  • I am from South Asia. the climate is too here in d day. Is it a must to swaddle d baby 24 hours?? My baby is now 5 weeks old and doent allow me to swaddle her as c stay active mostly, should i go againts her & swaddle her? I only swaddle her wen c falls asleep.

  • @zainycoool I would say swaddle your baby when it's cold...

  • why the fuck should one wrap a baby in 2011? ... clothes??? no baby in my family has ever been wrapped!

  • @ptlgbrasil alot of it is for the baby safety.. they can scratch themselves, etc

  • its a burrito baby nWn

  • um my sis's had a newborn and i feel that he's being wrapped too tight? how do i know if the baby is comfortable? and if it's too tight will it cause the bone to grow out of shape..any advice is appreciated

  • @greenappleiceblended use your own judgement! and I don't think you would wrap it too tight to let the bone to grow straight

  • @greenappleiceblended You are supposed to wrap the baby kind of tight (use your own judgement) so that baby feels comfortable like it was in the womb...

  • ah sooo cute i love new borns.

  • Yes, but WILL IT BLEND?

  • aww i want one now...

  • aww thats a good way, so cute x

  • what a cute little burrito!

  • wow...im just shocked at how silent the baby went !! makes it look like having ur first baby wont be that hard with the crying and screaming.. just wrap em up :=P thats soo cute tho!

  • Good thing you video tapped that.

  • I'm so gonna practice this on my niece

  • She did that shit too damn fast!!! If I was a new mom I would be lost..she didn't help at all. Yea SHE'S a pro but her job is to teach how to swaddle a baby and say "like this" for every Lil thing you do isn't very much help. Sorry she's good but sucks at teaching

  • Aren't you only supposed to wrapp him only once?

  • @KeyFra2011

depends on how cold the weather is...

  • @chiashengchu what happends if you dont wrap a new born?

  • @MrNonzerogrunt nothing would happen i believe. :) just this was a premature baby that needs to be kept warm in Winter.

  • @KeyFra2011 consider the weather it was, wrapping him once is not enough.

  • best lill baby burrito ever XD

  • Just too cute. :>

  • babies love burrito's!

  • Fucking pro swaddle. We need speed tournaments for this

  • Thanks for the post it helped out this new parent

  • surely the baby will get really hot and not be able to move.....sure it looks cute but god that must be horrible

  • @klum03

Babies actually prefer being swaddled like this; it simulates the womb, being all nice and snug. Plus, swaddling blankets are made to be very light and breathable so that they don't get overheated. Doctors will tell you not to swaddle them in too thick blankets anyways.

  • I have to learn this but she was going too quick -_-

  • shes rough with that baby :(

  • does this work for barito's aswell?

  • poor baby.....

  • burrito wrap LOL

  • the baby: woman PLEASE its cold!!! cmon!!! *wraps baby* oh.... ok.. im good.... now bring me teets.

  • Baby is so cute.

  • You should only cover babies head if very, very cold or during the first several days.

  • that is a quality swaddle right there. go girl.

  • Aww how adorable!!(..:

  • I LOVE the hospital blankets!

  • 1:17 I..I think my heart just stops..

  • omg that lady is a PRO

  • cute baby :)

  • The nurse has really nice and feminine finger nails. I had to say this. Cutie pie baby too! :D

  • baby mother Teresa

  • In 3 months I'll have one of these....Eeeeeeek!

  • なんか赤ちゃんがすこし可哀そうだな・・・。

  • I really can't lay a finger on a new born baby like that.

and the baby cries at 1:17 hnnnnnngg d'awww, kinda gave me goosebumps but in a happy way.

  • holy crap that just looks mean............. i would like to move my arms and legs after being in a tight space for so long i know now not to do that when mine comes

  • @Trajick86 newborn babies usually like to be swaddled as it replicates the womb. babies do not have control of their arms and legs and can feel unstable at first. swaddling gives them some security.

  • Ouww i like it

  • Geez lady, you are going a little too fast and rough. That's the way I see it!

  • This should be called baby origami

  • @Odelle5 hihihihi good one

  • Tee hee cutest little squeaky cry ever! :)

  • that is such a cute little baby, and he just sounded mad when he cried haha

  • My daughter loved being swaddled. She would calm right down. it comforts them somehow, like being in womb. When I had my son though he HATED being swaddled. He preferred to have his arms & legs all out & free when he slept. So funny how they are all so different.

  • awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • aww... don't they feel uncomfortable?

  • Haha and in the end it looks just like mother Theresa :D

  • Ok done! Time to send it to UPS.

  • @yougottabekiddinwho loooooooooooool..true tht

  • @yougottabekiddinwho lol laghing so hard at what u said LOL

  • @singuy1111 :P

  • @yougottabekiddinwho hahahaha :) cute baby though.

  • What a cute baby and such a cute voice <3

  • awwww cuttie i love his voice such a cute baby :)

  • why force the baby's arms by its side? movement of the arms is a part of human expression. move the arms UP and/or crook the elbows slightly

  • Notice how quickly he calmed as soon as he was in the wrap... Just too cute.. A little bundle of joy :)

  • I need to learn to do this.

  • ... Damn... I love burritos but I dunno if I can eat one anymore....

  • idk.. seems pretty tight...

  • The nurse showed us this and I couldn't believe how much it helped. I still can't get the really tight wrap but every time I swaddle her, she stops crying. I have a few problems still with keeping her hands in but I'm getting better.

  • Swaddling the baby helps their body, not to mention they're BABIES and they get cold easily. Plus, some first-time moms can't hold their baby without the swaddle, so it actually helps them hold the baby easily..

  • the hell with the second blanket

  • this was so helpful, now i know what to do, thanks :)!

  • awwwwwwwwwww!

  • do you have to use both blankets or can you just use the later technique with one blanket?

  • at 1:17, the baby looks like mother teresa!!!

  • @lolastarsandstripes

    you killed me ...hahahah!

  • That baby sounds like a puppy wining so cute

  • Newborn babies really appreciates this (you can do it for sleeping times until 3 month), it really helps for the colic.

  • fucking GAAAY

  • Comment removed

  • Jee.... If people did that to an animal they would be accused of cruelty to animal.... How can people do that to a living baby... I am pretty sure the baby would calm down as well in the arms of his mother

  • @tmmtmogr you would think but the babies actually like it as it reminds them of being in the womb...

  • @tmmtmogr

A lot of animals have fur, they don't need to be bundled up like that. They were designed so that they don't need to be bundled up like that, babies are different.

  • @tmmtmogr

There isn't a whole lot of room to move around when they are still in the womb. This very "snug" wrapping actually calms babies, helps with colic and makes them feel very secure.

  • That is too cute. He calmed down right after she wrapped him :-)

  • Awwwww this is cute. ^_^ And most babies love that.

  • The baby is soooo cute

  • Thanks for uploading, in hospital I couldnt be perfect as after watching ur video.

  • I swaddle very similarly but at least take the hat off the baby!! They can't regulate their body temp so they can overheat very quickly!

  • That is such a cuuuute baby!! :D I'm so excited to be a mom.

  • why would you wrap baby like that?

  • @adlozi its called swaddling. its a very ancient technique that humans have been doing for newborns. its very comforting for a baby, and many babies with colic will only settle down when swaddled.

  • @SuperSneakygirl i see. That's good to know, thanks. I only hope that it isn't bad for development of joints or muscles - because then they cannot me much in use, don't they..

  • Ok it all is nice n dandy... but the way she bouncess tht child is not right thy r soooo delicate omg... n yes the second sheet is tooo much unless u live where there is a lot of snow lol

  • this is very helping for new mums thnks fr sharing

  • does he stop crying because he thinks he's still inside the womb? like how tight and warm she wraps the blanket around his body

  • Does swaddling calm a baby down? Does it make them feel comforted? I've always wanted to know.

  • Keon is adorable!!:)

  • As soon as that baby was swaddled, he went to sleep straight away. Must be very comfy!

  • Wow! He just settled right down when she got him swaddled!

  • lol. Go like a burrito wrap!

  • At first , i think it is too tight to wrap the baby like that..

But the baby stop crying after tightening. Please tell me why??

  • @ccnaman babies like to be cozied up like that - closest feeling to the womb extrauterine they can get, i should think.

  • @ccnaman Babies are used to cramped positions due to their time spent in the womb. Also, the brain is still developing and in the course of strengthening neural connections the baby's limbs can move uncontrollably, disrupting rest and relaxation.

  • That baby is so FN CUTE! I can't wait to try this on my baby.

  • that looked wrong

  • looks so warm and cozy

  • @chargerfish1 lol

  • great video! it helped out alot lol. i was sooooo confused before. I was thinking that they wrapped them up like they do with burritos at chipotle- squish and roll hahaha

  • either should work. square ones work better tho.

  • lol he looks like mother Theresa and a pharaoh of Egypt

  • @gaby23diaz Square. Perferable 30x30

  • Amazing you can see how happy he was to be swaddled, I am going to pactice this before my baby comes!!

  • awwwww

  • might sound like a dumb question but is she being to rough or is that just how its done.. she seemed like she was moving too fast

  • *takes note* all such a cute baby ^^ he felt nice and secure in the wrap

  • I bet that was the first and last time the baby was ever wrapped that tight

  • Now I shall do this to my kitten. :)

  • Keon is soo cute.

  • 1:19 like a mummy XD

  • so adorable!!! omg!! iwant to hold her. a baby has such pure innocents that it can never be mimicked.....i want 2 hug her nurture her i cat wait 2 have 1!!XD

  • "Like a burrito wrap" , haha

  • that is one cute burrito wrap I wanna eat it xx

  • omg so adorable. i want a baby in 2 yrs time. lol burrito wrap.

  • Baby in wrap looks just like Mother Theresa

  • nurse should cut her nail becous she can hurt the baby

  • wouldn't that make them too hot?

  • @xXxScareFactoryxXx no not when they're first born you want to give them a similar feeling of being in the womb because that is what they are so used to

  • thats seems uncomfortable, i wouldnt do that to my baby

  • @suegirl145 what? it's been done for centuries.

  • @suegirl145

baby´s love that, for you it might not be comfortable because you have been juming around and walking for some time now I´m guessing. But a baby just came out of the womb, and if you swaddle it in a blanket it wil get that snug womb-like feeling again and thats super comfortable for them and they absolutely love it

  • awwww

  • looks like a little dude lol

  • LOL Like a burrito XD

  • Seems like she was handling the baby a bit rough.

  • @srosa02 i agree

  • haha reminds me of a mini terrorist :D

  • FUCKING BABIES. dont bother they cost laods, laods of grief whod want em

  • @matthewcole13 Learn to spell " load" you fucking "Load" of shit. Did you forget you were a baby at one time... Oh yeah your mom shit you out. Do us all a favor and don't breed.

  • wow, intense. That baby was swaddled to the max!!

  • its hard with a 2 year old i tried

  • the minute the babys arms were tucked in and stopped crying :D my little girl loved it was she was little and used to sleep all night until the next morning :):)

  • lol looks like a package. So cute

  • lol he looks so comfy! What an adorable baby! Congratulations!

  • the first bit was perfect but i wouldnt put the sacond sheet on over the head he will over heat especialy with a hat on too

  • @bobo5073

Totally agree. "Babies regulate their temperature through the head, particularly the face. In a heavily wrapped baby, 85% total heat loss is through the face.7 If this normal method of heat loss is restricted by bedding covering the face, wearing a bonnet or tummy sleeping (partial face covering by mattress and/or bedding), there is the propensity for thermal stress to occur."

    wwwsidsandkidsorg

  • @bobo5073 having the second sheet over his head is very important if they are taking him out during the winter. I suspect that is why the nurse put the second sheet on.

  • @bobo5073 i think she was just showing different example

  • @bobo5073 he is a baby! babies get cold he wont overheat becuz babies lose a lot of heat tht was rly good and im gonna use it on my girls!!

  • @bobo5073 Not if you live in Alaska, like Sarah Palin.

  • lol... i think the baby likes it, see how /she calmed down after... :-D

  • that's one cute burrito wrap =)

  • lol that was cute

  • My daughter used to love getting this done and she would sleep for ages. :-)

  • like a burrito.
