  • helmet is not cliped on

  • You forgot the oxygen

  • I don't even thing Criss Angel could do that.

  • Firefighters wear SCBA...did New Carlisle not give you one? That's a shame

  • @Willyum9585 I was a cadet at the time so we weren't aloud to use scbas unless we were at training and had permission from our advisor

  • is it me or did you add a minor speed up to this video

  • @wow2h85 thats just you. you can hear the audio doesn't change

  • wheres ur scba? thatll add on another 20 seconds or so

  • @bigj996 SCBA drill starts with full dress. THE JPR states both gear AND scba in 2 minutes

  • There was no scba

  • It was 36 secounds actually .. But no worries .. Just the little mistakes that are getting you remember this slow is fast, fast is smooth other then that good job!

  • so many things wrong... its better to do it right slowly then to do it wrong fast you could kill yourself or others if you go in like that

  • Why does everybody have to be butt munches? lol If he is proud of his quick dress time, then okay! I think that everybody should strive for excellence, no matter what the occasion and how they do it. Shouldn't we all be working together instead of critizing what others do?

  • Cool, but you would of died if you would of entered a burning building, next time zip up your jacket not just buckle it.

  • @mrasmussen360 this was an old out of service jacket I used for cadets. There wasn't a zipper it was the the buckles and a velco strip.

  • @pacemiester Then the velcro should be fully mated before snapping, that wasn't my issue though. I would have failed you for not adjusting your chinstrap. Its there to keep your helmet on. When you test out with a SCBA you will need to leave it loose and adjust it after donning the mask and before you fit the MMA. I know it was too loose cause I saw you swing it under your chin. Your earflaps must also be fully down.

  • @bobfrapples37 thank you for that imput thats alot of good information I wouldn't have thought of when I get in to my level 1 class and on the ear flaps for some reason on this helmet they are really short and don't go down as far as a normal ben 2 or other newer helmet would. Its my dads old leather new yorker from 1978 when he first became a fire fighter.

  • @pacemiester Good job though, filming this lets you see what your doing later and you can watch others on here. I would get a ben 2 or old helmet to test with so that helmet don't get banged up more! Tupperware is lighter so quicker to put on, hint hint. I know guys got failed for earflaps that's why I mention that, this guy is the man. Emulate him. YOUTUBE: "LAFD ROOKIE SCBA"

  • OK just so I am clear, yes putting your gear on is important. But this is somthing that should be second nature. It is lame because time could be better spent on important things, such as search and rescue, RIT or changing out tanks on a downed FF while in a burning building.

  • @essexvillefd1728 And when your by yourself and no one is around why not pratice scrambles to better yourself? This video was simply done out of fun. No harm in that.

  • I honstly never thought i would see the day this video has 7,000 views

  • right on man im on the little falls fire dept and we do that drill once a month!

  • Wow you don't even get your pack on. Slow as fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk.

  • why would you record yourself doing something as childish as this.....LAME

  • @essexvillefd1728 lol nice how is that lame?

  • @pacemiester ok your a big boy, you can get dressed all by yourself. You should post something of importance...like actual firefighting....we are all proud of you...for getting you gear on and next time make sure you do the buttons on the inside of the coat and not just the outside latches......you know practice makes perfect!!!!!

  • @essexvillefd1728 this coat doesn't have buttons on the inside. it had some sort of velcro on it. It was an out of service jacket I used for cadets.

  • @essexvillefd1728 perfect practice makes perfect

  • @essexvillefd1728 go fuck yourself. what's your quick dress record??? you can't fight fire without gear, and it's pretty damn important to know how fast someone can get it on. asshole.

  • @sabertoothtyler this guy right here is pretty awesome! lol

  • @essexvillefd1728 this is not childish at all, muniment drills are standard at any department. It was not the fastest time, but thats OK.

I have that same gear, but no velcro.

  • @essexvillefd1728 YOU NOT A FIRE FIGHTER AND YOU DONT NO THE IMPORTANCE OF QUICK DRESS BUT THIS GUY WASNT BREATHING AIR BUT IF YOU HOUSE STARTS BURNING DOWN ILL TAKE MY SWEEET ASS TIME

  • @bandit7319, Yes I am, and I hope you don’t show up. We have a minimum requirement of being able to spell correctly and use proper sentence structure. If my house catches on fire I know that the guys on my department are capable of putting there gear on with out having to post a video of themselves doing it in 33 seconds and by the way we train to have our gear on including our packs within 60 seconds. So in other words SUCK IT! Besides, quick dress is something you learn in the academy.

  • @essexvillefd1728 You have a minimum requirement of being able to spell and use sentence structure? How about learning the difference between "their, there, and they're" then properly use the right "sentence structure". so what if he posts this vid? so what if you learn the minute drill in acedemy, they also taught you that this was a brotherhood. remember? so stop scratching his balls and leave the kid alone jackass.

ScarsofHope420 Im with you on that one.

  • i timed this and from the time u touch ur hood to the time u clap ur hands is 36.28 sec.

  • Your in socks, how about we do it again, the proper way with shoes on,in under a min.

  • @rltysonsr the last time I did one that was timed was about a year ago and in july and I did 25 seconds with shoes on. the reason I didn't have shoes on in this is because we had just gotten back from a call

  • oh come on, anyone can put bunker gear on... try putting on bunker gear and your scba, breathing air...al under 1 minute 15 seconds. lol now thats a challenge

  • @daremaster7 I agree man but suprisingly most people cant get bunkers on that quick

  • @pacemiester i got timed drilling against post kids had to get dressed and hook a hydrant b4 they got dressed. this was w/o scba. i got dressed in bunker gear in 18seconds

  • @rkelley1382 good jump man! thumbs up

  • ron spotts is in my lvl one know him??

  • @MrTenaciousNate yes I do know him hes a vouleenter with nc

  • last time i got timed for doning i got 25 sec.

  • @wolfkill16 thats awesome!

  • Sorry I ment 39 but he's gotten it lower since then

  • Search Austin b quickdress. He's a guy in my explorer post and he's got 36 seconds breathing air with everything

  • new carlisle ohio... i used to live there like 6 months ago on westlake ave... its nice and quiet up there i kinda liked it.... btw u should put up some vids of their equipment like the ladder truck and ambulances...nice vid

  • i would but becuase of the whole arson situation cadets are gone

  • I once saw 28 seconds...starting with sneakers on. It's like dude's gear had grease in it. It was almost like watching cartoons or a high speed tape. I still call him a freak.

  • I've gotten alot faster since I got my new gear I've seen people do it in 13 secs

  • air pack?? mask?? helmet not strapped wtf?

  • my helmet was strapped at 41 secs the thing i pull over my face no pack because we had a big stucture fire the night before and only the packs and the extra bottles on the apparatuses had air we have to go to one of our mutal aids to get a bottles filled

  • how fast can you do it with an airpack and breathing air from it?

  • last time with air was 53 seconds and I've lowered my quick dress down by 12 seconds. thanks for the question though

  • cool. im still praticing and ive only done it with the air once and i got 1 minute 22 seconds.

  • are ou using a steal bottle hey thats a really fast time for your first time most people take over 2 mins there first time

  • i think i am but im not 100% sure about tht. and yea thts what everyone tells me. i practiced little by little adding new things every week and eventually worked up to the airpack with it. do u throw the airpack over ur head or throw it on like a book bag?

  • I tried both and over my head works best for me but the book bag method works really good for my dad

  • i havent deceided which way works best for me but i think im leaning toward the over the head because it puts less strain on your back and my dad says its usually the quickest way.

  • ive noticed with different brands of airpack or the weight of the bottle sometimes the book bag works better or times it doesnt

  • the one the post uses isnt that heavy and i could probably do it the book bag way with it but the only one ive been timed with has been the one my dad uses and its so heavy it makes me lean back some when i have it on.

  • then your post is probably using composite bottles and you dad is using steel. just wait till you use carbon fiber you dont even fell it on your back =]

  • yea i asked him after i left my last comment and thats what he said he used. i asked him how muched it weighed and he said around 50 pounds. lol. thanks for all the answers to my questions :)

  • no problem i never get anything from explorers on here so i was glad

  • i am not one yet. i cant join until august but ive already started practicing with my dads equipment :)

  • oh well ill still call you one since you start in a month =]

  • Im an explorer for central jackson county fire protection district. I'm in school getting my certifications. (through the high school votech program. i quick dress right at 45 sec. nice man

  • Pacey you think way to much of your self your never going to be a firefighter so just let all of this stuff go and your dad is a trainee not a firefighter never has never will just like you

  • aron what did i do to you?

and acutally my dad is not a trainee he is a certifed fire fighter

  • i was kidding man what is up havnt talked to you in a while you still have my boots

  • ya but i cant even get to them

  • you need bigger pants buddy, and drop your nomex before you put on your helmet.

  • your supposed to leave your nomex up

  • Not if you're going to pack up and mask up. If you were getting ready to get in the truck, you'd drop your nomex, hook your pack on, mask up, THEN NOMEX, then get on air.

  • I know but we were taught to leave it up when you quick dress with no pack

  • in my company we dont don nomex for calls that dont require a pack

  • hell yea buddy

  • is this Ian?

  • you forgot the second enclosure on your jacket. all pieces of PPE have 2 enclosures or more. just saying, it takes a little more time to button up snaps or zip the zipper. keep it up, and get that time down with a BA

  • the second enclosure on mine is velcro

  • thats damn good. You have gear that fits though. I had to go find gear that was about the right size for me. But still thats a damn good time for just basic turnout.

  • Do it with an SCBA and see me.

  • I'm going up again for shift time friday I'll see if I can
