  • 109 was railfanned two times in one day the first time is in Stuart and the second time is you and they were on the EXACT same day :)

  • Wow! Those were some crazy catches, Tim! I can't believe that ACe! Fav'd!

  • @rufec12 Thanks, Rudy. At the moment, that was the one and only time I have seen an SD70ACe this far south.

  • Any idea what time trains come through on the line that diverges from lakeland, goes through wildwood and ocala and connects back up to the main at jacksonville? I have lived in ocala for 9 years but have always missed seeing a train.

  • Thats one of the sickest K5LLA's I have ever heard!

  • con rail

  • How do you know where all the trains are going to? Ive been doing some railfanning myself and didn't have any idea where the trains where headed. I give this vid 5 stars, keep up the good work.

  • Thanks for the comment! For me, it's a combination of my scanner, research, and experience.

  • Yes. It was 4844.

  • @FloridaTrainKid What a fantastically horrible horn!

  • Yep. 91 with an ex-Pepsi Can Dash-8. Same train distantsignal caught in Tampa in his Amtrak at Auburndale, FL video.

  • Thanks for the comment and advice Ken! Some crossings differ these days when it comes to horn action. I caught a late Amtrak 91 on September 2nd at Hallandale Beach Blvd and they were blowing their horn as usual even though that crossing is a quiet zone.

  • Are those wishbone gates on those crossings? I can't tell because it's at night. If so those are rare! Never seen one before.

  • I've always loved trains. Can someone tell me what a K train or a Q train is?

  • Sorry it took me a while to get back to your comment. CSX "K" trains are bulk commodity trains, such as rock, sulfur, phosphate, and ethanol trains. "Q" trains are generally corridor trains. Q100s range is intermodal, Q200s range is autoracks, Q300-Q600s range is mostly manifest, and Q700s range is a variety of things like trash, steel, and Tropicana Juice.

  • Great video as usual, Tim. A couple of those trains looked VERY familiar. ;-) I really like those lease units FEC has... They look good paired up with 100s. Excellent job.

  • Thanks Ted!

  • This train Horn sounds like a woman singing.

  • Great Video, Tim, 91 with 3 engines, and 109 with the FEC's new purchase. I dont supposed by chance you got 109 about 2 weeks ago leading with 52 coal cars followed by 178 aggregates? Also , is anyone going to the FEC convention next month in Jville?

  • Thanks! Unfortunately I didn't get the 109 with the coal cars a couple of weeks ago.

  • wats up with the first train the csx ditch lights?

  • I took the silver star down there.I stopped in Kissimmee.I caught alot of action, but I forgot to bring my video camera.

  • Great vids, I like it.

  • Thanks!

  • As always, oustanding work, Timmy! August was a fruitful month and I am sure the last week on to September will remain fruitful. I've a feeling a coal train for Cemex may come on down, with improving conditions like more carloads and more construction showing. Well, keep up the great work Tim and best regards as I start school and YouTube less...... --Tolga

  • Say On That FEC Was That A SD70ACe's?

  • Both engines were M-2s.

  • M-2's That Dosen't Ring A Bell O.o

  • SD70M-2. I use M-2 for short. And their bells are electronic....

  • ohhhhhh i didn't know i was kind of confused......

  • The SD70ACe was what was on the lead of Q453 in the first clip. Both motors on FEC 109 including the leaser are SD70M-2s.

  • it is a SD7M-2 but in that color blue it look like a SD90MAC

  • that was a nasty horn on the Q453 and odd that both ditch lights were flashing at the same time

  • Great job, Timmy... I just love that daylight Q452; you don't see that often. Also, that spot at Powerline/Prospect is really good too. It's too bad that it's too dark at night though. :-( They really need to fix the street lights there.

  • Thanks Ted! Last time Q452 departed Miami in daylight was right after 4th of July. I too wish Powerline & Prospect was better lit at night.
