The boy has horns because in SoTC he is possesed by Dormin, who is not released from Wander, but trapped inside, thus his horns, and also why nobody wants anything to do with him basically.

SoTC is the prequel to ICO.

In SoTC Wander is turned into child after being sucked into that pool thing, if u look close u see his horns. In ICO the horned boy is Wander when he is grown up and the girl is the one he was trying to save in SoTC. The shadows u create in SoTC are enemies in ICO if im not mistaken, and the boy wears the same cloths in ICO and SoTC. His kind is not welcom there because in SoTC, he is already not welcome there because it is sacred ground.(REST ON NEXT COMMENT)

The boy in Ico is not Wander, it says in the Ico manual that he was born from a normal villager.

In Ico I believe, there are supposed to be many horned boys who get put into the caskets.

I never got to the ending... I liked alot of the features such as Item synthesis but I thought the main charachter should have been to many different worlds... He was stuk in that one for the longest time, Paterny I think... I sold it but I guess I wish I would've kept it
