I didn't really like this Iron Man as much as the 1st one, it just didn't do it for me (tho I'll blame that on my dislike of Don cheadle and the fact that I really don't know much about Iron Man or all his villains). Hopefully Iron Man 3 will be back on track for me anyway, cause all around it was a decent or good movie for others.

There's a lot of subtle criticism of the American military-industrial complex woven into the story, and a nostalgia for the times of yesteryear when 'Made In America' was a stamp of quality. Tony Stark also gets quite a bit of character development: his father issues and the resulting influences are shown to affect him greatly.

Just because YOU can't see past the explosions doesn't mean that the movie is bad.
