this coming from 1st chair TBone at my high school(and Brass Captain) you all need to practice getting in tune, the first trombone was way sharp and the bass bone was waaay flat, it sounded like someone empting their bowels after eating mexican food

I'm not sure where you hear the 1st guy being sharp- he's just out of tune, but in right area. The bass sounds in tune to me- he's just playing a bit low for a good sound.

Did the first bone sound sharp to you? He didn't sound sharp to me! He would be flat on one partial, then a little sharp on another- that's not consistently sharp at all.

Bass trombone is a selfish player that loves sounding like a fart cow and absolutely forgetting musicality and throwing only pedal note that means nothing. total immaturity and stupid sense of context.

The third chair is usually the bass trombone, go tell Blair Bollinger he's bad... Being a bad trombonist doesn't mean you get the third chair... it means you don't get a chair... In the real world of professional working musicians... you are considered very good when you get on of those chairs... otherwise, your in high school...

@Ludwigfrommars very true, I play Bass bone, I'm the best trombone player at my college(minus one of the professors) I play 3rd all the time, preferably there's an actuall bass trombone part though(the best part of all of course).
