  • Really informative and fun to watch at the same time.... Great video...

  • Not sure what the temps were but intend to do pretty much the same in the middle of January on the East Coast of Canada. Shooting for -25 if I am lucky enough. Cheers, building the same structure but probably more prepared.

  • What is the actual song that they borrowed the tone from?

  • @robertmccallum1 Thank you! The winter survival 5 day is one of our favorite "hard skills" courses. This will be the twenty fourth year of sharing it and it never gets old.

  • No. Facing the opening so it absorbs the most daylight would mean facing your shelter opening to the north in the southern hemisphere. Thanks for that correction!

  • In the southern hemisphere my shelter should be pointing towards the south too?

  • I like the shelter she "made" at the end, looks very sturdy! lmao

  • Great video 5 stars

  • awsome vid! I was thinking of doing a winter camp, we don't have many conifers here though so I'm probly gonna build a quincy instead.

  • nice video but could have done without the bad singing lol

  • I liked the second song about chaga tea(it's a medicinal fungus that grows on birch trees).

It was hysterical to me just because its such an obscure thing I'm sure most people have no idea what he's talking about.

  • awsome :)

  • nice to finally see the debris hut built the right way - FIRST the base layer and THEN the cover...
