Pearl Jam, best band in the world ever. Led Zeppelin, second best band in the world ever. Then mix them together - holy shit I would have had a seizure.
Once again another great musical moment, ruined by people singing along. I don't pay to hear a bunch of idiots sing karaoke. Hey everyone, we know the words!!! Congratulations! Now shut up and let the legends do it. They don't need any help.
@thestainisgone485 Yes Ive been to a concert, hence the WHOLE REASON I MADE THE COMMENT. Have you actually read 'words'? Guess not. If your name isnt on the overpriced ticket I paid for then save your singing for the shower. Nobody hums along at a symphony. Why? Cause it ruins the show. If it was just the refrain, then fine. But I hate driving 3 hours to a concert just to hear a bunch of children sing the album version of a song, while muffling the nuances of my favorite musicians live version
@thestainisgone485 If everyone wants to sing part of a song; great. If everyone wants to sing all of one song; great. People singing all of every song? Id rather just hear the band. Not sure what my preference towards a minute aspect of human existence makes me bitter times two. I have less idea what it has to do with my height. By the way my original comment has more "likes" than any of yours. And we all know that You Tube comment "likes" are what truly define a human being.
And, I happen to have the actual setlist from this show, too. I get chills watching this. What an amazing, amazing, amazing evening.
And I think I see myself in your video a few times!!! Do you have the whole show on DAT? I have a crummy bootleg but would love the quality you have here!
I think I might have died if I had been there, I think probably Eddie couldn't sing in this company he just wanted to watch. Probably a dream for the guys . .
what? only 75k hits . . . that's the sad thing about music today . . . and when you try seeing videos by lady gaga you'll always see a million plus hits . . . most people really like crap
@piolomilby22 yeah i fucking hate it. when u seeing a lady gaga video is all nitide, 2 great singers jammin in stage and you look a fuckin cellphone video ..... i hate the people specially mtv
why mtv do not recorded this in a video, mtv shows just shit, why the fucking mtv do not make a reunion robert plant and pearl jam, the lead singer and the band
The whole concert must have been much more amped. I have been playing this on guitar for months. The song is always more mellow and light but they put their own spin on it and Plant was felling the groove. I am not sure if I got the extra lyrics from this vid, as I remeber watching when I first did research. Though I hurt inside I'm not cryin ooohhh I wanna thank you. I like them so much I use it as the third verse also.
After hearing this delicate version of Thank You I wish Pearl Jam an Robert Plant recorded a live tribute to Led Zeppelin like the Black Crows and Jimmy Page did.
Pearl Jam are great and here you can hear and feel that they apparently did not forget their roots.
We all adore Robert---who doesn't? He is the rock frontman of all time, as another poster said. Another fun tidbit of history: it was Robert Plant and Farrah Fawcett in the 70s that popularized gorgeous, long, curly blond hair! In the 70s, guys into rock all wanted to have Robert's hair-lol
@lancetop I remember at the age of 7 and up, my grandma had a poster of Page and Plant on her closet door because she always had/has such a crush on him. :) still remember that fondly after 20 plus yrs... my gramma has some Great taste! :) Plant has the voice many others will always be jealous of, even still to this day! :) just funny to me that he is playing with my 8th grade crush Eddie Vedder!! :) Rock lives on and on (thank goodness!)
after one week i listened this song for first time. i think , this song is so sweet and beautiful song to dedicated you girlfriend, you wife or another people you loves. great plant the best ever
aunque le haya pifiado en una entrada en la cancion el baterista , pearl jam es una banda increible... y led zeppelin es LA MEJOR BANDA DE TODOS LOS TIEMPOS!
incredible~one guy looked waving his arms like he was having a religious experience...lol but i would have been flipping out too. i mean, robert plant is amazing. eddie vedder too, for that matter. :)
Mr. Plant happens to be a close family friend. Along with Page and Jonesy and crew. You really want to call this piss poor? Well, it so happens I showed your comment to a certain male singer and he states: "If you can do better than us, then be my guest and go ahead ;)".
its his song...he can do what he wants with it :). I like that he changed the words to fit his relationship with his ex wife whom this song was written for: I still love you so, baby, but I let you go...
I see an audience that went to see a pearl jam concert and is shitting their pants a rock godfather is their. They know every word to the song. Zeppelin and Pearl jam are both amazing bands but zep is my absolute fav. then pearl is like 3rd
alright now deb557, dammit, these are my videos that I had to painstakingly hold my arm up for you to watch these classics. So, you are welcome from "locolion3" :)

Let me start by saying that I have been a fan since age 9 when my aunt bought me Zep 4. (1974)
I hate the fact that they changed these lyrics! This is one, if not my only favorite song.
What happened to "Inspiration's... what you are to me. Inspiration, look and see...!!!!!"
saw Page and Plant, and same words, no "inspiration"
