I have it too, but I have only had a few sudden sleep attacks. It's really unfortunate that people in the UK don't have access to medications that we do in the US until years later. Xyrem and Nuvigil have changed my life. It took about 16 years for me to get my diagnosis after seeing countless neurologists, but that's typical. It's not at all like in the movies as we all know!
Thank you very much for sharing this. I have had 5 cataplexy attacks and have researched it as much as possible on the net. The stats i found were 1 in 2,000 have narcolepsy. Great need to educate people so they can recognize it . Your videos help. Thanks
Son has similar problems ..No Dx or answers yet. 10 years now ..Sent a Doctor answers site in the US your name and your video. They need to be Educated. This is not a joke.Hope things are well for both you and your wife.Looking forward to part 5.
yes it's sad. I have a much less severe case of narcolepsy w/ cataplexy. It does bring out the character of the people around you. Simple little things are highly appreciated. Such as giving me privacy over lunch break so I can take a very important, short nap. If you wish to help, (probably for any condition) JUST BE A TRUE FRIEND.
Does anyone agree that there may be a link between Narcolepsy and flu vaccinations?
