  • Thank you. I am humbled by your comments

  • VERY NICE JOB

  • Thanks

  • I want to learn to play this song.....how did you learn????

  • I first learned how to sing it. (I really can't sing) But then I just sang it with my sax. Try it.

  • LOL, maybe I outta put my ligature upside down so it helps me play better. I play tenor sax though.

  • Hey it might just become a trend. lol This particular type of ligature works either way. I love it. What a huge difference it makes though.

  • your ligature is upside down

  • LOL That's pretty observant!! You are absolutely right. I find it works best for me this way.

  • You have a great tone. I am a straight soprano player.

  • Thank you

  • hmm, maybe you should practice more instead of praise.

  • That statement reveals your total ignorance of God. He inhabits our praise.

  • Thanks so much.

  • Nice music, great performance. Greetings, blessings and best wishes from Chiapas Mexico. Gozo&Paz Latin Jazz Band

  • That curved soprano is badass.

  • Well Retropact. I guess that is one way of putting it. Thanks I think. LOL

    A

  • Hello Mr. Joseph Tapper. Was this performance in Douglasville, Ga. a few years back at The 7000+ Conference at the Shining Star? And if so, this is where I was introduced to your spirit-filled, and talented self!! Have you put a song you introduced called "MY GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD" on a CD yet? Praise God. Will you be my face book friend? You can find me by searching my name: sandra rodgers with a photo of my naive granddaughter I am stealing her french fries right under her nose

  • LOL that is soo funny. She doesn't need those fries anyway. I searched for your name and there is a bunch. I am on facebook so just search for me, Joseph Tapper. Oh and this was not the video from Douglasville. I wish I had it. My eyes were closed the whole time I played. Afterwards I asked one of the dancers if she thought the people enjoyed it. Her jaw dropped and she said that they were on their feet almost the whole time. It was blessed!

  • This is a 5 star performance from a 5 star player!

  • Coming from a talented brother like yourself that's a real compliment. Thanks!

  • God can't exist...

  • Is it because you said so??

  • why did you watch this. That is very dumb what you said and you should know he dose exsist he kept a roof over your head, clothes on your back, and food on your table. And where do you think it came from, your job. Well question is where did the job come from?

  • Please, believe that HE (GOD) exists, and you'll see/feel it with your eyes/heart.

He does Exist. I feel Him, and I'm sure you'll soon see Him also.

  • When I was 16 years old I asked God for the gift of playing my horn and to be filled with His Spirit. Two weeks later He filled me with His Spirit and noticed that I could play along with the choir. I had tried everything to learn to play by ear without notes and nothing worked. Well since then I never stopped using the gift He gave me for His glory. I don't have any idea what key I'm playing in but it proves He is real. If He isn't real then I'm not really playing that sax.

  • Gracias tanto

  • Hermoso nunca habia escuchando algo tan precioso,Para mi unos de los mejores saxophonistas que hay.HERMOSO.

  • Can we get the English version, please? :) I don't understand Spanish. :( God Bless you!

  • Here is the English translation friend, "Beautiful I had never heard something so precious to me some of the best saxophone that there is. BEAUTIFUL!"

  • Thank you for the translation. I appreciate it. :) GBU!

  • nice solo

  • Thank you.

  • wow, GOD bless u, my brother,

GOD keep ussing u like that and more

I from south america, blessing from here to all of u there,

Thank u Jesus lord fo ALL.!!!

  • Yes, yes give God the glory. Thank you so much South America for dropping in!!

  • Amen brother! God has blessed you :)

  • Yes He has and for that I am grateful.

  • Muito lindo vêr pessoas usando seus grandes talentos pra Deus..

  • Muito obrigado. Dou-lhe de volta para Deus.

  • Thank you so much. He gave us breath so let's use it for glorifying Him.

  • God Bless you sir:) I play the sax also strictly for God's Kingdom and I am a witness that his anointing falls as we are uptlifting his name with instruments. Glory to God!! Keep praising him sir:)

  • That don't make no sense for nobody to play like that...Wow!!! Simply beautiful. God has blessed you with a wonderful gift. Psalms 150 is a call to praise God with musical instruments, and you're doing a great job. Continue to praise God. Simply beautiful.

  • Thank you so much!! I love to glorify God in music. Thanks again for your kind words.

  • obviously youre incapable of understanding my point. none of your return comments have little relevance to my first comment. ok, i get how you feel about your work but that is not why im imposing into your comment box like this. let me just remind you that in the last days, people will declare before God that theyve done miracles and works in his name but he will say, "depart from me I never knew you." Matt. 7:22-23. look it up when you arent saving peoples souls with a saxaphone solo.

  • Romans 14:4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.

God chose me to do what I do. Go do what God chose you to do and don't complain about how Father uses His children.

  • Son you must understand that I don't use the spirit, the spirit uses me. The Holy Spirit makes the choices as what to do and how He uses me. He is not like a genie, under my control. Sometimes when I minister He heals people, sometimes they give their lives to the Lord. I only provide a vehicle for the Lord to use to bless His people. He doesn't use us because we are perfect, but because we are humble enough to be perfected in Him. That's why I don't want the lime light, just His light.

  • But I don't save anyone. That's what you don't understand. God uses me not the other way around. If you don't like what I do then you do better. God is pleased with what I do and he sanctions it. By you complaining about what I do let's me know you don't want to listen. PRAISE IS WHAT I DO!

  • People like you just sit around and find fault in others without doing anything themselves. If God uses me to touch one soul the angels rejoice. But you will still be complaining. Go and do the work of the Lord and you will have less time to complain about others. Doesn't your Bible in Romans 12:15 say to rejoice with them that do rejoice...? Give me the scripture that tells you to find fault in the work of the Lord.

  • i have found jesus and my doctrine that i follow holds truth and salvation. i hope you have done the same. the foundation is acts 2:38. im just saying that in your perspective you may have "talent" but when a new convert is in the service, give them a chance to feel god. his spirit is like a dove and in my opinion youve already chased it off. good job my man.

  • where was the skill in that??! give the spotlight to someone else. dude seriously those triplet things need to go. how would anyone be able to feel god during a performance like that. you got to think of others man.

  • The skill is in God friend. God doesn't choose the qualified He qualifies the chosen. He doesn't require skill on our part only availability and a willing heart. God gave me the gift, if you don't approve then take it up with Him. I'm not looking for a spotlight, I have found the light of the world. You should find Him too, His name is Jesus...then you can feel God wherever you go. Be blessed.

  • u tore that thang up!!!! awesome!!!!!!!!!

  • Thank you so much for your kind words!

  • oh, and is it just me or does the Soprano sax have a very spiritual sound? i listen to Trane when he plays it, and Kirk Whalum on his Gospel According to Jazz CD, and a host of others, but i just keep getting the same spiritual feeling from that sound...

    am i the only one???

  • This is a curved Soprano.

  • Mr. Tapper:

is that a soprano??? if it isn't, Lord knows i need to do a little ear training...i've been only playing alto for less than a year...

    i wonder...

you say that God gave you the gift:

perhaps...perhaps you just happened to FIND God who had the gift waiting for you.

    just a thought.

  • You are right! God is the source of the gift and gets all of the glory.

  • Thank you so much and you are absolutely right, God gave me the gift. I never took lessons to play the sax but God gave me the gift.

  • beautiful awesome wonderful!! God gave u a gift

  • looove!!!

  • Very Nice! Wish I had a curved soprano!

  • bro i knew you was blessed when you started saying you had a house that had a $20K roof on it. it was probably a blessing to get it fixed no doubt, but i could put 4 or 5 brand new roofs on my house for that. i can only imagine the house that the $20K roof went on top of.

  • Awesome testimony!! By the way, is that a cannonball sax?

  • yup, yup.

  • hi uncle joseph, this is so beautiful. i really love this song and it motivates me to look up to the Lord regardless of my stance and no matter where i am in life. thanks again for coming into our lives. God will bless you keep on playing unc. love y'all.

  • Hey Joe... it's Carlos... remember me? Just saying Hi and keep up the good work.

  • You're so powerful, I felt your love for God and music, bless you and continue playing melodies unto the Lord.

  • Thanks so much for your comments, they really help. My goal is to not entertain but to lead my listeners into a place in God through worship.

  • how old were you when you first started playing the sax, by the way that is some anointed playing. God Bless You.

  • I started at about 21 years old. I didn't really take it serious until after about 20 years of playing. I played both Cornet and Sax. I then decided that I wanted to be really good on one and dropped the Cornet then concentrated on the Sax. Thank you for your blessings and I hope the video blessed you.

  • is that a canonball

  • Wow you must not just be a saxer but a professional level musician. You are exactly right that is a Canonball. How did you know?

  • just out of curiosity, what other saxaphones can you play.

  • Alto, tenor and the flute. I played cornet for 20 years also.

  • WOW!!!!!!!God has blessed u tremendously!!Nice playin. If you don't mind me asking, what type of sax is that. Is that a version of the soprano? Thanx again!

  • Thank you so much!! You are absolutely right, it is a Soprano just a curved Soprano. It is made by Cannonball and I love it. Thanks for giving glory to the right person. GOD has blessed me and gets all of the glory!

  • you are more than welcum

  • this is nice

  • Thanks for taking the time to post a comment.

  • YOu play great

  • Thank you Selena for your kind words.

  • How long have you been playing and what made u start and choose that instrument? Do you play any more instruments?

  • I have been playing the sax for over 20 years. I play the flute also. I used to play the trumpet and sax but it was tuff on my lips so I decided to drop one and stuck with the sax. I was influenced by a great saxer and friend Elmus High. Then God gifted me to play and He gets all of the glory. I never took lessons to learn to play the sax but I work hard on it now.

  • This is anointed!!!

  • It must connect with something inside of you. Thank you.
