I agree with Trooper744...put the Flight Simulator at the end of the title to alert you views that the video is not real...BTW this is not such a great landing to post here...see what we do in real life.
@ThePeapod666 i feel ya haha. i had to land a C172 at KLZU with a 22kt crosswind. it wasnt directly across the runway but probably at about a 70 degree angle give or take some.
@cessnaflyer2014 on my first ever landing, a massive gust of wind got under the wing. we were at about 70 degrees of bank 100 ft off the ground, luckily we were able to get the wings level and go around.
your terrible. Fuck off. You didn't land that plane. Anybody can crab a plane in, it takes a pilot to straighten the bird out so you don't rip your gear off. If your wanting to see amazing pilots look at B52 crosswind landings. The landing gear is rotated freely, so they can crab, gently touch their gear on the ground, and excersise a damn fine TRUE crab. Idealy on a wetter run way, crabbing in and sliding your tyres on the runway and then straightening out has its advantages....
nice landing... better job than most can do but if were being totally realistic then this would never happen, because the main landing gear would snap off sideways lol
so u dipped the nose that far down on final with a crosswind like that, what are u trying to show off, any normal pilot would know not to land in this condition
For General aviation aircraft the 25 knot Crosswind rule usually applies. Even though I've landed in a 26 knot. However for Commercial airliners and turbine based aircraft. 25 Knots is nothing.
I would like to officially call bulshit on this bullshit. You used the nav system to line you up perfectly with that runway and at the last minute you landed the last 100 feet.
hocam ortamın anasının amına koymuşsun tebrik ediyorum. ama o sondaki thx olmamış. tikimisin aq adam gibi bişe yazsaymışın on numara. good job vesselam..
Yes I am. No, I'm not joking you. If you think an aircraft, especially a heavy, can handle the side loads of a 78 know crosswind, I would question your flying credentials. Every airplane I've flown had limits in the 30s ... and they were forward slipped limits ... not the lower crabbed landing crosswind limits.
Not Bad Mate, not sure but reckon the X/W comp on those rigs might around 34-40kts, you managed to land in double that eh. In real world practise I try and get the nose gear down ASAP in serious X/w's, but you always needa few extra kts on the clock so it does make it tricky.
now THAT'S a cross wind landing. I'd be impressed if an airline pilot could land a plan in a 80 knot crosswind without being a little bouncy on the mains.
A real pilot would divert to a different airport/check weather information prior to landing in the middle of a hurricane. I'm sure it was loads of fun, but just don't make a habit of this. Even if a real pilot executed a safe landing in these conditions, his career would probably be over.
you ever hear of Kai Tak Airport? The old Hong Kong Airport. Pilots did that everyday, watch some of the videos on here. They seemed to keep their jobs. Kind of a stupid comment if you ask me.
I just hope you just fly Sims and no real Commercial Airplanes. And if you plan to do otherwise, forget about it! This is NOT a good behaiviour in a cockpit. You might have killed people tring a landing this way! Bad pilot. And: Think about your tags. Not everyone wants to see this bullshit!
you make mistake your sposed to aim straight down the runway, and turn that music down in the cockpit its spoiling your concentration. I always suck a mint when Im landing. Try wearing some string back driving gloves, it looked like the wheel was slipping out of your hands (not wishing to advertise but sterling moss market a quality glove via Halfords).
Hmm, this landing wasn't very good. You bounced and forgot to get you self out of crab. And as Tkutak said, if this was a real landing, you would be killed because the aircraft would just run straight of the runway. Always kick the rudder just before touchdown.
The AC would not run straight off the runway because it's inertia is carrying it in the direction of the runway holding drift. In fact it is quite normal for large commercial aircraft to land crossed and then straighten up after touchdown. I do admit before the nose gear touches down though normally. Light aircraft are the ones that kick straight before landing and as a result of crosswind they lower the windward wing to maintain centreline. If a B777 tried this technique it would scrape engines
you would have run off the runway after touchdown in real... you MUST use rudder to turn nose to runway direction before touch.. (in this case push right pedal).. and land on the left main gear at first because you lose lifting power on your right wing when crosswind is from left.
2 months ago I landed with a flight Airbus from Lisbon to Ponta Delgada (Azores) in this way Flight was due to continue to Boston I think reason why pilot landed, idiot. The runway is on high level unprotected for side winds famous on those islands. We were the only plane which landed that day 13 flights on Azores islands were cancelled due to very strong winds I think the pilot was unresponsible should have returned to Lisabon (2 hrs back) People on the ground couldn't believe how we landed
i love the way that everyone shows extreme crosswind landings on fsx but in life it is very differnet. one mistake and thats a crash. the adrenaline starts pumping i tell you. espically if you've already had to go around once
I agree with you totally ! In reality, pilots don't take a risk to land if the crosswind is more than 25 knots as it is against Federal Aviation Regulation. If they do land in wind greater than 25, they lose their license!
Easy? yeah mayb on a sim! but in real life i dont think so remember all your passinagers in your hand one wrong move and there will be no room to recover!
Yeah its a 777 with the Dreamliner Livery which Boeing has painted pretty much all new models of their aircraft with the Dreamliner livery at one point or another.
lool, no, thats wind speed, u will find a circle under the heading of "wind direction" which you can go 360 degrees, set that to 40 or whatever u want
Although, I still wouldn't trust you to do this in real life if I was a passenger.. LOL.
The cockpit view was especially cool, reminded me of a car drifting what with the oversteer and counter steering.. in this case, crabbing and "death prevention" Lol.
Well no i don't think it is possible to land like that in real life coz i saw an air crash investigation where an air france a340 landed at toronto and it went off the end of the runway and that was a wind of 33 knots and they would divert the plane to another airport.
Anyone have tips on using fraps with good framerates? I have good framerates but whenever I start fraps my framerate goes down. Check out my videos and leave tips please!! Thank you!
