You know why they're only 6 dollars in the us and 23 pounds in the uk (64$)? Because for that price we can buy a handgun and the ammo over here. It's a crappy country, I'll admit it, but you have to love the way we make it easy to kill each other.
funny I don't actually remember posting the first comment :s either way the other wasp knives are better in my opinion - the ones that have a little CO2 cartridge in them so when you stab someone you can press a button and inject the icy pressurized CO2 into them, instantly killing tissue from coldness and exploding their insides from pressure. good for extreme hunting and LE but I'd dig it :)
Well it'd illegal in the U.S. and I see there is no lock from it folding on your fingers when using it so must be strictly for collectors. Stab with that and I bet it will fold unless you hold the blade toward you :P go look up the Espada series from coldsteel and get on my level :) lol
@WeaponCollector Yeah sorry bout that, I meant the newer lock pin that takes positive force and negative force on the blade, a design which is the only one I would use just cuz I can't see there being 0% probability that my fingers won't go flying. lol Maybe some other safer locking mechanisms but not straying too far off of my favorite, trusted companies :) besides I like fixed blades way more. keep up the great reviews!
I live in Canada I picked one up like a year ago and the screws fell out and well I was not happy with it so to speak. And then I got stolen after I fixed it. But mine cost 18 $
I've just recieved mine from the BKCG. A lovely knife. I work as an electrician and in social care and frequenly need a knife that I can open with one hand. I think it is legal to carry in these circustances but I will keep it well concealed as I have found the confusing knife laws in this country cannot be trusted. Thank you for your helpful review.
We have the same problem in California. The people that make the laws know little or nothing about knives or the uses. As a social care worker and an electrician I have to carry at least two knives when at work, currently an Opinal 8 and a buck BLW but I have to keep them very well concealed.
Importing from the USA is a bit risky, but BKCB (British Knife Collectors Guide) also do a "special import" if you request, which basically means they will get you ANY knife you wish from anywhere in the world. REMEMBER they will only import UK LEGAL KNIVES e.g. spring assisted, folding, lock etc (thats what they claim)
Nice knife and review just one point be careful importing such a knife from the USA,it will most likely be seized as a flick knife by the UKBA and HMRC,my advice try and source from the UK if you check on British blades you'll see many of these types of knives have been seized on entry to the UK.
well thats a bone, you cant carry it around :/ Mike do you're self a favour and buy a spyderco ukpk knife those things have a slip joint lock and its legal to carry in uk but there is a hefty price on it....
Do all the kids in your family have names beginning with 'M'? My sister and I had names that both began with the same letter. But she had her's legally changed. :)
i got that knife i never knew the name till now i got it brand new never opened for 3 dollars about a year ago the spring broke 3 months ago still works just doesent flick lol
i always find bkcg way overpriced..check out there rambo knives, they say and advertise that there gil hibben and united cutlrey but what they ship you are the master cutlrey versions.. anyway nice vid mike
haha,Thats cool, I do see your point though, The laws can be very hard to interpret and can be interpreted in different ways, as we both have done so in this instance,
anyway like you said, Now i own the knife nothing can be said, lol.
I know Australian law also states any blade which is able to be opened with one hand. Bloody ridiculous really, my multitool can be opened with one hand if need be. It also locks open.
@noordwinter, Hi, I think we will have to agree to disagree, lol, Everthing i have ever read states (in my opinion) that spring assisted knives are legal, they get around the law but not having a button, There are Hundred of sites and shops all over the country selling spring assisted knives and as far as i know there are No legal issues.
But all other knives on the list of restricted ones would be virtually impossible to find in the u.k. due to them being banned.
@noordwinter, i trust it mate, read the info again - "any knife which has a blade which opens automatically by hand pressure applied to a button, spring or other device in or attached to the handle of the knife".
There is nothing being pressed on the handle, the flipper is part of the blade.
read the info in the links i provided in the more in fo section.
Maybe people are misunderstanding me, when i says its "legal" i mean to OWN not carry, i know these are illegal to carry, but some people think they are ilegal to own too, But they are o.k to own.
@noordwinter Section1 talks about flick knives which are also known as butterfly knives, i know what im talking about im a law student. Many UK shops sell spring assisted knives. just like any other knife is illegal to possess only in public places but not it your own private residence.
@MRdunxist its not a switchlade and it is not illegal because there is no switch mechanism that opens it i.e. a button. It is spring assisted and perfectly legal under UK legislation and i own 7 myself.
I googled it and couldnt find it? the UK website keeps popping up, here in TEXAS we can carry a blade up to 5 1/2 inches, with the exception being balisongs and switch blades...
most states here in the U.S. let us have just about whatever we want, except for massachusetts where i live, they have alot of laws and regulations on what weapons we have, but most other states are very open to alot of different weapons, even automatic firearms
if it locks it's not legal to carry without justifiable excuse ?

To bad , cause that makes it illegal according to the belgian law considering arms & knives..
However , i just bought a new herbertz knife
If anyone is interested ; search google for : "herbertz 213611"
Unfortunately , not as impressive as yours , but it can do the trick ;)
cheers PJ
