  • this is beautiful! God Bless them!

  • to be honest you could argue all music is a distraction or something that causes ppl to reflect or focus. If latin mass is done european stuyle properly and everyone sings doing all the harmonies etc it can be extremely distracting

  • What a wonderful way to celebrate the Lord! Every country has a different way of celebrating the Eucharist. How beautiful to see it in Malawi!

    God Bless You All....

  • Wonderful way to praise God! Thank you for your inspiration. If more of our churches had that kind of worship, our churches would not be sparsely filled as they are !

  • Even the bible says let every creature that lives worship the lord,so i dont see why we should assume dancing and intsruments at mass will take our minds off christ and the paschal mystery. I think its should be celebrated because Jesus willing died for us all because of his love for us. I dont think God is up in heaven saying he will judge us for dancing and using instruments in church.Lets find something else to go against.Lets just learn to embrace,God created us all different for a reason.

  • This is not even remotely Catholic!

  • I went to Mass in Tanzania and there was no dancing... but I knew/know it's allowed. There's nothing wrong with that... Anyways, point being that most Catholics there know that we practice differently in other places.

  • Thanks for sharing this video with the world!

I liked that song. I also liked how the choir and congregation moved while singing it. I wish that there were more scenes of the little children trying to do the same movements as the older children & teens in the church.

    God bless them all!

  • It's very nice but they should learn the rest of The world's catholics don't practice like that...If they ever leave Africa they will be in for a big shock...I suggest a traditional mass be offered for those who prefer it...Discipline must be taught the greatest tragedies affecting the catholic church have been caused by The Undisciplined...I suggest a deep understanding of the crusades and the Holy Roman Empire

  • Please, Catholics moving round the world can never be shocked because culture and tradition varies but Catholic is one faith. As christians, we have one Lord and God; and Him alone is being worshpped. thanks.

  • "It's very nice but they should learn the rest of The world's catholics don't practice like that..."

The African expression of joy is not the African's problem. Rather, the lack of exuberance everywhere else is our problem... and loss. I'm not saying the Holy Mass should be an entertainment free for all... but why should worship always conform to European tastes??

Remember, some Asians also have refined movement during liturgy. Cardinal Arinze spoke of this.

  • It's not about European taste it's about what the Mass is. Trust me movement takes place even in America. But that doesn't make it right. This goes against the rubrics of the Mass, and going against the rubrics is disobedience. It is good to praise and worship God and this is done throught the year in the Church, but at the mass we are truly present at the foot of the cross, question is will you be moving like this at the foot of the cross? Reverence should be observed.

  • I don't know what I would have done @ the foot of the cross 2000 years ago, and truthfully, neither do you. We THINK we know how we'd react to a given situation, but we really don't until faced with it. However, we do know that different cultures express mourning / grief / lamentation in different ways. This doesn't make it irreverent.

  • Not to mention the joyful celebration at many Spanish/Hispanic Masses

  • What do you mean by "discipline".I dont understand why Catholism shouldnt be practiced with a touch of tradition from different parts of the world. Why should it be and how do we know that only European standards count as the correct way of Catholic worship?God wants every living creature of every walk of life to praise him.He didnt say praise me only in English or the pipe organ.African Catholics also do Mass in English &are familiar with regular mass-they wouldnt be shocked/they're not ignorant

  • Discipline has nothing to do with European standards, the Mass isn't a place of dancing or entertainment. We're not Protestants afterall. The Mass is the sacrifice of Christ on the cross and much reverence should be observed. We neglect Christ in the Eucharist and we turn the focus to ourselves and our music. When in the physical presence of God will you dare stand and dance or will you fall to your knees with reverence?

  • Im sorry Fellow brother but Cardinal arinze adressed this issue and said if its part of your culture then do it but dont over do it like the baptists in North america! God bless

and if i got to even see a bit of god i would kneel but my heart would be dancing with joy GOD BLESSS

  • I'm a sister not a brother.

I find it hard to believe that Cardinal Arinze said so, especially since he is now working on restoring the rubrics of the mass to the Churches and realises that these abuses are detrimental to the Church.

  • Im sorry sister but i watched that video here in youtube and he said as long as it is youre culture do it but you know not over do it like some other people (baptists in the usa)

    God bless take care

  • Ok baptists in the USA are very conservative ppl they don't dance around, that would be pentecostals. I am a former baptist who converted to Catholicism. Can you pls send me the video that you're speaking of so that I can see for myself?

I would look more into it bcus I know that currently Cardinal Arinze is leading the effort to reform the Mass to what it's supposed to be.

  • actually it is both in video and in real life that i have seen some bapthists behave in a wild manner, i do live in the usa

    God bless

  • Hmm which baptists are you speaking of?

Ok wait there are two baptists, they're quite diverse. There are the orthodox baptists (white ppl) and then the african-american baptists. Well maybe we live in different parts of the U.S and experience different things, so I won't say you're wrong. It's hard to put them into one form of worship.

  • @ESEME11 - Another convert- more Catholic than the pope. You converts are supposed to spend time praying and thanking God for light, rather than acting like the new pope.

  • What do you mean by "discipline/undescipline" pls.I dont understand why Catholism shouldnt be practiced with tradition from different parts of the world. Why should it be & how do we know that only European standards count as correct Catholic worship?God wants every living creature of every walk of life to praise him.He didnt say praise me only in English or the pipe organ.African Catholics are familiar with English/regular mass.they wouldnt be shocked/they're not ignorant about their own faith

  • @StupidObamacult And tell us where does it dictate in the Bible that ONLY the way of the white European is acceptable? Where in God's words does He state that only a pipe organ is acceptable accompaniement to the people singing? Where is it written that ONLY hymns written by white Europeans are acceptable hymns for Mass? Where is it written that discrimination against anything that not white European is not acceptable at the Mass in the Catholic Church

  • This one reminds me of my village church in Mbaise

  • I love this! What are they singing? Is this a Jesuit run church? Thanks for sharing this.

  • Very Happy - very nice
