When I worked in telephone sales we were paid to stay on the phone. That means we were instructed NOT to hang up until the customer did. That also meant not to hang up if the customer said no. Thankfully though, we could hang up after the THIRD rebuttal, and only after that. Needless to say I'm glad I escaped with my life....
Then i say: "Oooo! Hello im from (blah blah-maybe- toasters direct) Would you like a free toaster!?" "its totally free for just £12 a day you can have one..." by then theve hung up xD

Haha I had some American guy on the phone to me for 25 minutes the other day doing some random survey to gather statistics for a financial company or something.
He kept asking me questions about how I would rate various electrical companies...I'm 16 for christs sake, that's not usually what I spend my days thinking about.
Haha, But I'm ever so nice, so I completed his survey.
Are these guys told to go "yeah?" every other second? He's so pushy, I had someone who sounded just like that on the phone. The moment you ask them anything they're not sure about,they just raise their voice and read their script out at you again. I wonder if they ever sell anything...
I love how he snaps at you but expects you to buy the phone and how he says its free but it'll cost you 300 odd squid for the first 18 months. I once had a guy try to sell me web 2.0 and it took 8 different 'tech' experts to explain to me what web 2.0 was and one said it was the second version of internet explorer lol.
