  • Gosh. I remember having this record on Red Vinyl. Became a Northern Soul classic and played at all the clubs. Great song

  • @beezertop My goodness I wasn't aware that my Rupert was issued on red vinyl. As they say, you learn something new everyday. I also didn't know that it became a Northern Soul Classic. Thank you for enlightening me.

    All the best,

    Jackie lee.

  • i think it would be cool if i could find a music sheet for this on the guitar, does anyone know where i might find one??

  • @themasterspet Hi there, I wish I could help you with your request, however, I have no idea where you would find the sheet music for guitar unless maybe if you got someone to write a score for guitar.

    Regards,

    Jackie Lee.

  • Paddington rules!

  • @neilfaulkes Dont tell me you are from Paddington. My flat in London was not far away from there. Marylebone Road, opposite the Courts. Small world if thats the case.

    Cheers,

    Jackie.

  • This is a great video! I will put this one on the big screen at this years new year party and the microphones will be out!

  • @MsJackieLee Well Jackie, You have my address. If you let me know that you'll be there I'll get in a 24 pack of soup, A bunch of Fyffes and I'll even wear a Burtons suit! You can park the car in my garage so it doesn't vanish and re-appear somewhere else! hahaha

  • @steviesmovies Also Stevie, I will wash my hair in my Lilt shampoo and be well made up with Revelon makeup. I will even bring some Fairy Liquid to help with the dirty dishes. See you there. Ha Ha Ha.

    Jackie lee.

  • what a terrific tune, this has stayed with me for years since i was a kid, but it wasn't until that long ago that i found the lyrics went "in all of his" games. i spent many years wondering who the bloody hell "olivy" was ! rupert rocks !

  • @woodyboy01 Ha Ha Ha, this comment has made me laugh, sorry you could not understand the way I said "in all of His games" I must say I did enjoy recording this little song.

    All the Best,

    Jackie Lee.

  • @woodyboy01 Oh that is funny, and I always thought I pronounced my words so that everybody would know what I was saying. I'm chuffed that you think Rupert Rocks.

    Cheers,

    Jackie Lee.

  • @woodyboy01 greatest song ever

  • @woodyboy01 Olivy's games! I love it! He must be related to Olive, the Other Reindeer.

  • bin years since I watched Rupert tanks for memorys

  • I used to have this song sung by children on an old tape, loved the theme, thought it was very original. Then I kept hearing this "new and improved" Rupert song and it SUCKED. This theme is awesome.

  • @Wishworks Hello there, I agree with your sentiments. I think they should bring back the original Rupert song that was especially written for the series a long time ago. It suits the show more so than the new one.

    Thanks for your comment,

    Jackie Lee.

  • raggety say no more, scaryer that hammor house of horror on a fri nite

  • Damn right, scared the shit out of me that creepy fecker!

  • where can i find the cartoon song where rupert spells out his name at the end?

  • RUUUUPEEEEEERRTTTT !!!

  • love this song . . .

    x

  • @anjerson Thank you for your comment, sorry it has taken this long in answering it.

I suppose better late than never as they say.

    Cheers,

    Jackie Lee.

  • where can i find an intro for the other rupert song went sumin like " rupert your a wonderful bear, we want you to knwo that really care"

  • The original Rupert is 10X better than the boring anemic Nickoledeon Jr. version.

  • @hoktak Thank you so much for your very nice comment,

    Jackie Lee.

  • dude im 15 and i love rupert i even have a teddy and tshirt he kicks some serious ass

  • i remember this song!

but I SWEAR it was on the tv show!

...but, i'm pretty sure it wasn't.

    I don't know I would've heard it otherwise...

  • Yeah, it was on the old 60's/70's one with the puppets, the later cartoon one I know nothing about because I'm too old.

  • @idkjade Yes indeed my Rupert Theme was written especially for the original series by Len Beadle aka Frank Weston and RonRoker. TheTheme was used for years and years. They now use another one why I have no idea, I think the original one is far superior. It just suits the series.

    Best Regards,

    Jackie Lee.

  • I still have this on an album.lol

  • I remember this song also but there was a story on the vinyl as well

  • anyone still traumatised by raggety?

  • Oh yes raggety use to really freak me out as a child and that was in broad day light. Dee.

  • He used to scare the shit out of me when I was little

  • stil does dude and im 38

  • Lmao.

  • sounds like a northern soul tune

  • @mk1coopers If it sounds like a Northern Soul tune to you then it should be. I am not aware that it is, I could very easly be wrong.

    Jackie Lee.

  • I had this on Vinyl. I loved it and the frog song. I miss Rupert xxxx

  • You kiddin me...!

And I'm in "bloody" South Africa, on the other side of the hemiphere...

    :((

  • If you like you can go to the national film Theatre in London on the 19th March 08 were they are showing some episodes of Rupert, and afterwards the director will be answering questions.

  • @mrjajel How interesting, I wish I could. If I lived in that part of the world I would be there in a flash. Did you know that there is a Rupert Society as well .I am now in touch with them. It is so amazing to me the comments I get on this little song I recorded in 1968. I love reading everyone of them and try to answer all that I can.

    All the Best,

    Jackie Lee.
