Andrew Klavan youre a stupid bastard that thinks snide patronisation makes you sound clever. in reality your a smug prick that writes mystery novels, not an intelligent academic or social visionary. your beliefs are so stupid im surprised you think you can pass yourself of as an educator, which is what i assume you believe you are. right wingers like you are the exact reason america is in the situation its in, and your beloved republicans have sold control of america to the wealthy.
@mintyvision I don't think you've ever heard of intelligent humor before, and if you have you can't spot it. When you say "in reality your" (mind you you misspelled you're but oh well) you come off thinking you know the man personally, when in reality there is a slim chance you do. Secondly, stating that his, or even many's beliefs are "stupid" without facts is highly uneducated and childish. Why do you view his beliefs to have gotten "America in the situation it's in" ? explain, don't bitch.
@darkpast99 i dont know the man, but if i met him id tell him to his face what i think of him and his unfunny rightwing views. if you think this is intelligent humour then you are not an intelligent person. his views on, george bush, israel and abortions are disgusting, and pander to the religious right eroding constitutional secularism. right wingers harp on about liberty, democracy, and the stupidity of educated lefties whilst pushing for plutocracy, greed, social exclusion and segregation.
@mintyvision First off, it is intelligent humor, from the song to the cheap drawings and even the reference to the birds & the bees don't be stuck up all the time. And woah there, "pander to the religious right eroding constitutional secularism" ? So the conservatives, who believe in the constitution want the church to guide them...i'm pretty sure they don't want that seeing how they want to rule themselves, BUT they DO want to follow the guidelines of Christ,i.e. don't lie, cheat & steal.
@darkpast99 yeah the guidlines of christianity: persecute homosexuals, opose family control, people that believe dont believe your nonsense are going to hell, were all sinners, cover up the crimes of your friends, all those great values that should be kept well away from modern civilisation. people that believe in god are backward and have no place in government.
@mintyvision I said basic guidelines, not follow the high king of heaven. The country was made to make sure that there wouldn't be a dominant religion. However, Christianity is highly influential because the US was founded on its guidelines. As far as homosexuality, some people like it some don't. We have logical debates on how to handle it. You are in fact pointing out people like Westboro, who claim to be god lovers and fag haters. In truth only Westboro people like Westboro.
@mintyvision Oppose family control? Any sort of control on how i teach and raise my kids is obviously rejected, as long as I'm not hanging them by their feet in a shark tank. "people that believe dont believe your nonsense are going to hell, were all sinners". Yeah? Point being? That's what we believe. Do republicans wake up every day, walk up to the nearest atheist and do nothing but say how they're going to hell? As a matter of fact we respect your decision if you're respectful and don't care.
@darkpast99 well your beliefs are wrong and disguisting. who the fuck are you bastards to conemn everyone as sinners. you dont seem to know the meaning of family control. christians dont respect anyones decisions, infact your cultural heritage is to burn nonbelievers.
@mintyvision Yes, you're correct. We hold public executions in the town square every day at high noon punishing non-believers we do this non-stop in America, I mean you would know! You mistake me, as well as all other Christians, for large groups of radical muslims within the middle east.
@mintyvision And once again we see a moron thinking that calling someone a "bastard" or using other profanity will magically make their argument seem valid. I have yet to call you a "fuck-head" , despite my personal emotions. Why you ask? Because put simply it actually makes you look like a small child, unable to control himself.
@mintyvision And if you were educated, like you claim to be, you would know when a government is ruled by people who don't believe, we get people like Stalin and Lenin. If you're not governed by god you'll be ruled by tyrants.
@darkpast99 sorry what? religion has murdered far more than tyrants who happen to be athiests. no tyrant has been a tyrant in the name of athiesm, where as many, many have been im the name of god. your beliefs and fellow belivers are sick in the head.
@mintyvision Yet again, you base the actions of a few on your whole perception of many. I have claimed that when we see atheist rise to power we see the result is, but replacing them with a man with a sense of morals, we see how greatness can be achieved. Not full on religious per-say, but someone who follows the guidelines.
@mintyvision Secondly, Right wingers "harp" upon the lefties? That sir/madam is not an argument you want to have. I will say however that one of the key points of a republic, that is to debate, because then the best option rises to the top. So your "harping" is a required gear in the matrix that makes up our system.
@mintyvision Third, regarding plutocracy, I will ASSume on my part you're referring to low taxes on businesses and the lack of higher taxes on millionaires. Correct me if i'm wrong on that one, then I'll continue. Fourth, segregation, seriously? The left continuously states that the right is racist, despite the kkk themselves being a branch of the left, but oh well. OH YEAH! The Republican party was started by Abe Lincoln! You know the guy that freed the slaves, right? Know your history.
@mintyvision Such bullshit. All you are doing is regurgitating the garbage some ex-hippy socialist prof told you. Social exclusion? Segregation? You don't even know what a conservative is, only what the leftist media and academic vacuums tell you conservatives are.
@WhereHawksFly ex hippy socialist prof? you republicans attack education, and then claim not to be full on retards. its a joke, youre a joke and your whole country is a joke.
@mintyvision I have two master's degrees. You? I happen to know that the university system in the US is a crock of shit because I've used it extensively. If you aren't in a practical field it's a total liberal circle-jerk with everyone patting each other on the back about how right they all are. My country is a joke? My country is more vast and diverse than you can imagine. Your nation MIGHT compare to ONE of our 50 states. Where are you from, coward?
@WhereHawksFly 2 masters? not good enough for a phd then? you must be pretty thick. my country created yours and amassed one of the greatest empires the world has ever seen, modernising and civilising most of the world and building infrastructure the world still depends upon. your nation has fucked the rest of the world spreading greed, mass consumerism, exploitation and stupidity, has used nato for its own agendas and you republicans thrive on fear and ignorance.
@mintyvision You were the greatest empire in all the world."Then sun never sets on the british empire!" . Yet you lost to a bunch of farmers and we have become the dominant power in a little over 200 ears. I couldn't imagine how proud you feel.
@mintyvision 2 masters in divergent topics, and a PhD doesn't fit the cost/benefit analysis. Unlike pretentious twats in tweed, my ego doesn't need the boost. I just wanted the pay increase from it.
You aren't American, your opinions of America are fallacious and irrelevant. Resting on the laurels of an empire that fell a century ago is pathetic. It's very hypocritical of you to in one sentence praise the British empire, enforced by bloodshed and domination, and condemn America in the next.
@mintyvision You just told me republicans "actively make slanderous remarks based on lies" . Yet you just said "republicans attack education, and then claim not to be full on retards" ! Talk about ACTUAL slanderous remarks based on lies.
@mintyvision You just called republicans full on retards. That's slander, and if you were telling the truth how the hell am I talking to you correctly? It's sad because you're loosing a debate to a retard. :)
@WhereHawksFly He's most defiantly a child, that can be assured. And can you blame him for being uneducated? I mean, have you read any British newspapers? It's riddled with bias and false facts and assumptions. I wouldn't expect anything less from a Socialist union, but the extent of it is sad. The Europeans only write about America, Russia and some things the french does, that's pretty much it.
@darkpast99 I find it more than a little amusing that anyone embroiled in the current fiasco that is the EuROFL would be dumb enough or brazen enough to lecture anyone else in the world on economic policy.
@WhereHawksFly You couldn't be any more correct. Because their current policies are contributing to their downfall. I can't wrap my head around their logic, or the lack thereof I should say.
@darkpast99 I don't think they will ever learn. Not until they are truly starving or someone is trying to kill them. That tends to be the only thing that brings the truly delusional into reality with the rest of us.
I am sick of the utter crap the government buys with our money and the rules that only lead to the conditioning of society. I'd rather have a politician who said they made a mistake on ------ and this is why he made the mistake and this is how he or she learned it was a mistake and this is why they will never make the same mistake and hopefully learn from it. But all in all the government creates more problems in the economy that it ever "fixes".
The opposing arguments are more condescending than this guy... The only way you can really talk to a liberal without insulting them is simply not to talk to them, but that solves nothing 'cause they still pass the blame to people who don't deserve it... America wasn't founded on stupid, but it's falling apart because of it...
@3dwheeler You are exactly right, stupid in the form of economic illiteracy and little to no knowledge about civics. Thanks public education and irresponsible parents...
@iambored456 This is for the audience he attracts. Anyone ignorant enough to think the worlds largest GDP should not have government enjoys calling other people names as their arguments are weak, at best.
@AtheistDaddy Do you statists and fascists ever get tired of passing this old lie that those of us who note the need for only a "Small Government" somehow really mean "No Government at all"?
I know you just want government to act like you are the only person living within the country, gotcha. Sorry, that doesn't match up with reality. You want smaller government? Try Somalia.
@AtheistDaddy No, we want a government that is concerned with individual natural freedoms, not building political coalitions based on populism and perpetuating government. This type of stuff is nothing less than footsteps to autocracy. Oh, btw, your Somalia comment fails. It does not have "less government", it has broken and unstable government of in-fighting big government types who want economic and cultural power over others -basically factions of socialists and islamist fascists. "LOL!"
@johnsonfromwisconsin Bullshit. You want a government you perceive is concerned about the lofty words you use. In reality, you want a government that promotes your brand of ideology.
Our difference, I want a government that actually promotes the general welfare as stated within the US Constitution.
The Somalia idea only further reaffirms my ideas. You think government is bad. The lack of an effective government in Somalia allows for all sorts of thuggery. I see your LOL and bid a hearty STFU.
@AtheistDaddy My ideology concerns individual freedoms and a Government to protect them. you want a government that promotes your brand of statism evidenced by your invocation of "but but but, General Welfare!!!", as if the General Welfare Clause is some sort of political blank check you can use to take the rights and work of others. The Somalia example only shows how absolutely stupid and malinformed you are about Somalia. And btw, it was your initial "LOL" I was mocking. It worked.
Police? The fuck's them? Public education? Wat? OSHA? I don't need no protection. The FDA? I can eat lead in my food, watch me! The military? It runs on patriotism, not money, stupid! The fire department? So the neighborhood burned down! That creates construction jobs! Public infrastructure like roads? I'll use my private jetpack!
Besides, all that shit runs on dreams anyway! I don't need to pay taxes I'll just go buy mah pornos and beer now.
Saying money is a symbol is a pretty lofty claim that probably requires several volumes unto itself (if such a claim could ever be substantiated at all). And yet, this dude just makes such a statement and then proceeds as though its readily agreed upon by all. Its really breathtaking to look at the language these political hacks use on all sides and realize that our "public intellectuals" don't understand about 40% of the words coming from their own mouths. Absolutely breathtaking.
I'm a Libertarian and I can't help but be a little saddened when Ron Paul's fanboys embarrass the platform with their ignorance. It is especially laughable when many of them voted for Obama in 2008, and prove that it is just a band wagon situation. I wish they understood why people have supported Ron Paul, and Liberty, all along.
More idiotic conservative garbage. Aside from the fact that he is grasping at straws and not dealing with any real issues, conservatives only seem to care about "big government" when a *democratic* government is in-charge. When a conservative one is in there, they can take away all the freedoms they want (ie. Patriot Act) and steal all of your tax-dollars they want (like, say, $3 trillion) so they can bomb Saddam because, hey, he ain't a Christian. After all, they're on the same team!
Yo folks whats it like living in America where you get shoe-horned into being a liberal or a conservative? What age does it occur at?? What happens to the folks who are conservative about some stuff and are liberal about other things?? Are you sent away somewhere?? What happens if you are an atheist but are also right-wing?? Is there anywhere for you to go or anyone to talk to?
I know I'm being a bit sarcastic but seriously why do ye have this mania for such blinkered thinking??
It's funny how you morons don't realize that Liberalism is a philosophy advocating liberty and equal rights. But, keep acting like you aren't fighting for just the freedoms of the elite.
I actually differ from Klavan on this point. Money you have isn't DESIRE, the value to you of what you want to buy is. Money you have is LABOR, labor you've done that is. I'm paid for my work, not because I want things.
This guy should leave America and come to my country to live in(UK). Over here if he was Prime Minister he could take us out of the EU...put the BBC into private ownership where they would have to be actually competitive to survive ( in the UK the government who owns the BBC makes every UK resident pay £145 a year just for the privilage of owning a TV...thats what funds the BBC) and I`m sure he would do a host of other much needed reforms as well. Screw socialism!
dude as soon as you said lets have a little grown up to liberal talk...everything else you say is discredited because you count a group of people as lower than yourself...good day to you sir
@BigDJuggalo420 {everything else you say is discredited because you count a group of people as lower than yourself...good day to you sir }
Ahh, the egalitarian mandate -- everyone deserves equal respect no matter what they think. Doesn't matter if their actions are harming others, whats important is 'feelings'.
And you get offended when called a bunch of thumbsuckers. Haha. Amazing.
The problem with liberals is that college teaches them about the Communist Manifesto and they think they have learn everything. Real life teaches everyone the value of a job, money, and family.
@Death2Fanboys If you do a bit of investigation, you'll find that "college" can't possibly be discussed as a single monolithic enterprise. Many universities offer training in tons of skills applicable to the jobs that are in demand. Also, how can you separate "college" from "real life"? College is *a part* of real life for most people, even if it's a means to an end.
@Death2Fanboys The problem with liberals that they break into two camps, one that ones to help other and lift them up out of ignorance and poverty, and the other that seeks to exploit the less fortunate and less informed around them to garner more money and/or social/political power
Even as I watch this video I look to the right and see a picture of high king nigger Obama, his sheboon wife, and his two sheboon niglets. Their message is "help the Oboingos stand up for working Americans". Which is of course an amazing joke as lord monkey god Obama has been doing everything possible to see that as many Americans as possible LOSE their jobs and have to latch on to the government welfare tit paid for by the rest of the people who dare earn their way. Thats liberalism.
@SkillGrip i don't support Obama and i'm not a liberal, but geez...is the harsh language necessary? Honestly it only makes you're side of the argument look bad.
@dreamihad Technically that is not true. Think of money as a "good," that which is used to facilitate trade; as like a road is used to facilitate transportation. Inasmuch as banks maintain the utility of money in making transactions, they are providing a service, and since the price of money cannot be money, the price of money is the interest rate. What we have is a government who has granted monopoly power on a good/service
And also, I don't like the Federal Highway System, and I hope you're not implying that "roads" are a given under government, except of course that the constitution does provide for postal roads only. The big interstates are a problem which lead to "urban sprawl," which is when more people live far away and commute long distances into a city for work. This causes so many problems if you just stop to think: 1. More Car dependency, more gas, more arab oil2.Destorys countryside (out of characters)
@Andrewm779 Wrecks the water supply with more pavement stopping the rain water from seeping down to the reservoirs underground. Ruins the inner city community (leading to "ghettos") since all rich ones left "to be in the country." Less walking (obesity). If anything I'll take a better railway network over interstates. But the current set up essentially prices me out of walking and into buy a vehicle that I don't want. How do you answer this?
Why would you want me to tell a conservative? All he wants to do is take your money and give it to soldiers so they can go piss off some muslims so they can attack us and get us to go piss off more muslims and so on and so forth. He also wants to create more "rules" to ban embryonic stem cell research, and hence he wants to pay the salaries of more federal prosecutors and regulators of things i actually do want that free market to provide me. The war on pot, are conservative for this? Liberty
@Andrewm779 right--and we shouldn't have pissed off Hitler either! In fact, lets not have an army because it is so much better to be "liked" right? Losers are liked, winners are FEARED! And we are still waiting for all those embryotic stem cell breakthrus that billions have been wasted researching on. BTW: be sure to send in some extra money with your taxes since you didn't need the tax cuts.
@Srd1126 Why do you think Hitler lost WWII? He was overstretched he lost the public relations battle. You don't win support by resorting to mass murder. Now we don't use armies; criminals and proxies fight the wars. Know thy enemy. Osama is too smart to think flying a plane into a building will "defeat america." But he knows that he can win a war in the brutal Afghan mountains, depleting us of our resources. Economy trumps EVERYTHING. I will be open to a small elite force, but I am (ctd)
@Srd1126 wholly opposed to constantly keeping on guard an excess of people who just want to find a way to pay off college debt. Just wikipedia the "art of war". We're doing it all wrong. The muslims are "winning" insomuch as we are losing. Just because if we are in a fight and I kill you does not mean I "win." What is the objective? Use common sense. If Osama hides next door to my lover, and a predator drone blows both houses up I am about ready to go all braveheart against whoever did it
@Srd1126 (from before) That is how most people including arabs would feel. The collateral-damage to objective-damage ratio is enormous. Don't even start with the idea that 'all muslims want is to exterminate freedoms, therefore their feelings are invalid.' We've over reached, or rather, the neo-cons have overreached.
@Andrewm779 I am tired of hearing what muslims "think of us." If a religon based on intolerance and violence dislikes us we are doing somehting right. If we had any guts left in the USA we would have a koran-burning night.
@Srd1126 That's fine they won't attack us oner quaran burning. They only hate it when the CIA bungles their progression to democracy by reinstalling dictatorial shahs and then expect that they will still want to let us park american oil companies over there.
I sure would be irritated if I went to the supermarket and they started accepting yen, euros, or whatever currency was most profitable to them that day of the week only to change it whenever it fits their best interests. Not to mention the introduction of new currencies created by organized crime and big chain stores.
The introduction of paper and coin currency is to lower the transactions (i.e. your time and effort) of the bartering exchange method you spoke of. If you wanted government to keep there hands off your money you wouldn't use paper and coin currency because government has more control over that then they do bartering free markets. Free markets without the federal reserve would allow for competing currencies within our own borders which would be chaotic and irritating.
right the old "gold standard". we live in a globalized economy now more than ever. The united states always has a negative balance of trade (i.e. we import more than we export, lowering national income) and when we have more imports than exports the "gold standard" can't exist. Besides, paper money has not been redeemable for gold since 1971.
@treygordo totally disagree , the balance of trade is not a factor when looking at the stability of fiat money.... the problem is the printing of fiat money has led to a tremendous amount of devaluation and is detrimental to peole who save. The only thing keeping us alive is the fact that the dollar is a reserve currency, if not for that we'd be dead in the water.
@treygordo I wish I could agree, but if money is based on no base measure, it is ultimately worthless, and that will eventually comew back to haunt us.
is everyone clear now on where money comes from? we left it up to conservatives to controll the ecomony for eight years. well a small handfull ended up with most of it and andrew wants to tell us to ask a conservative about where money comes from. Ask one where it all goes.
@smithbrass you're wrong, you left it to neo conservatives and moderates, true conservatives would advocate balanced budgets and spending cuts not more and more tax cuts and spending increases like bush
@smithbrass If you really want the non-partisan truth about where money comes from, I suggest that you start by looking up videos and articles about the fractional reserve banking system. Just be sure to take your blood pressure meds before you really get into it. I just about blew a gasket when I learned how that nonsense works.
Sicktoaster: Why not find a group of like-minded investors and build those magnetic trains with your own money? I mean, what does the government have that private parties do not?
Too late about running away with your money from a socialist, they will get their attack dog the IRS to steal it off you. If you refuse to give up your hard earned money they will attack you with tax evasion. If you can even escape that they will get their old ally the Federal Reserve to print more money by fiat (that's happening now at a higher rate) as an indirect tax (an imposed tax covertly destroying your hard earned US dollars through inflation)
@birdfree911us How is it dumb? I'd love to hear your explanation.
I've encountered plenty of liberals - or left leaning - people who believe public employees contribute to tax revenue. How tax dollars contribute tax dollars I don't know, but many liberals I know seem to think it does.
@mtb416 if it's a service that the majority wants, then everyone pays for the service through taxes (e.g. public schools). It's a small loss for everyone, but for a service that the majority wants. No revenue here to pay for debt.
Other gov run companies can be just like any other companies, and so public employees contribute to tax revenue like anyone else.
@LJonathan Much of this 'government demand' you speak about is created by government itself. This is where public and private wildly differ. The market is hardly the determining factor when it comes to things outside education, streets, police, etc.
If the salary for a particular job is paid for by tax dollars it is NOT contributing to the overall tax revenues.
@mtb416 but contributing to overall tax revenues is not always the goal. Sometimes the goal is simply to provide for a service at as low of a cost as possible. People lose less money buying public services than they do buying private services. If not, then something is very wrong.
The demand I refer to is a positive byproduct created by individuals (public employees), not the government. You know, if the unemployment rate is higher without public services, then the people will spend less.
I want high speed trains and universal health care.
You don't? Tough shit. I can vote and I will vote for people who are more likely to make these things, especially high speed trains. That's cool, and I'd like to be able to travel around the country cheaper. Europe has them, why shouldn't we?
I believe in desire, self-interest, even selfishness but where we differ is that I don't see that as conferring any obligation upon me. I will vote according to my best interests. Tough shit.
@sicktoaster And I want Mila Kunis to suck my dick.
Just because you want something doesn't mean you have a right to put a gun to people's heads and make them buy it for you. Your comment is a perfect example of why democracy is a terrible system, because it shows how it results in the Tyranny of The Majority.
Too bad that libtards like you have successfully eroded the Constitutionally limited Republic we started with into a semi-socialist democracy with unlimited government.
@sicktoaster How dangerous you sound! I guess you would claim that the right to live your life as you see fit is just a figment of our overzealous human imagination.
They're called "natural rights", and as such they exist outside and above the realm of government. It is this very struggle that determines the degree to which a society is free. You have some reading to do. I shall point you in every direction...
@sicktoaster Because when the goverment does something in the private business world it never works or works poorly. So then the goverment raises taxes on you and I. So how about this. Private citizens with a good chunk of money design and build some.
@sicktoaster {You don't? Tough shit. I can vote..}
You misspeak -- you can put into power people who will use force to make others do your will. How is that any different from the mindset of a tyrant? Do you think it makes you less responsible because you have cohorts? An accomplice to a crime is guilty of the crime itself.
What would you do if you needed a surgery too expensive to afford? Would you really just accept your fate or would you do what ever you could to get the surgery? What about for your son, daughter, or spouse?
As clear and easy to understand as this video is, I'm afraid that 99% of all liberals will either not understand it or disagree that it is unfair to take from one to give to another! Sad, scary, and true!
@23lFrench uhhhh and what part of the current tax code is CONSTITUTIONALLY applicable . Oh and big gov't --- you like such monstrosities ? Let's see , the dept of ag, dept of ed, dept of trans, dept of health, dept of ssi, and on and mother fcukin' on, with out fcuking end.Where is any of your precious gov't agencies covered in the U.S. constitution. You're probably a gov't employee shamelessly sucking the very life out of your fellow citizens.I wish all you libtardians would just fcuking die.
@itscork, As regards the bottom 48% "Paying their fair share," Sales Tax School Tax Liquor Tax Excise Taxes Property Tax Medicare Tax Real Estate Tax Road Usage Tax CDL license Tax State Income Tax Vehicle Sales Tax I pay THESE out of my $7200 annual GROSS income. HOW much MORE do YOU think I OWE????
@KaletheQuick You only feel patronized because you know that you're the lib he's talking to. Otherwise he's only bringing clarity to the subject which you should already know . But since you don't know , you feel ignorant and that feeling makes you want to lash out . And so rather than learning something , you come away with annoyance and NO understanding . And that's how I prefer liberals---barefoot and stupid ; you're easier to bash that way :)
@fabianstraregy Don't know what sir? Economics? I don't believe I disagreed with the video, just it's condescending manner. Money and the value ascribed to it are abstract things and I don't think I disagreed with that. And last I checked I have never voted for a Democrat. I am just annoyed by people who talk down to another group as a persuasive strategy, it is highly ineffective. And how did you come at all these assumptions about me hmm? And what makes you think I am bashable?
@KaletheQuick Well I'm a conservative patriot among other things and I did'nt feel patronized , but you did . Why is that ? From here on out , if you had'nt noticed , conservatives have taken the gloves off . We take no fcukin' prisoners ; It's off with his/her head , that's figuratively for you lib dummies . If you're a lib then you are 100% bashable . Also if you're a conservative defending libs then you certainly are bashable and you are a traitor to liberty :)
@fabianstraregy I think you are seeing things in a little too black and white sir. I like many people lean differently on various topics, and do not align myself with either word. And I did not say that I personally felt patronised, just that his manner was patronising, which it is, he is talking down to his audience as if they are children. Whether they are or not is irrelevant.
Instead of such bad manner, just have a good argument in the first place. One based on facts.
@KaletheQuick You most definitely are a lib because you do what they do and that is to take the "relative" position on anything especially when you don't have a leg to stand on . There is blk and there is wht . There is good and there is evil . Your kind has murdered 53 million babies on the abortion table . Now you want FACTS there's 53 fcuking million of 'em . Your attempt at relativism is stunningly hollow .I think we're likly done because you'll just come back with some more hollow bulsh*t .
@fabianstraregy What hollow bullshit? If you want to argue politics I would be happy to oblige, message me or something. As for abortions, I don't see fetuses as people. So 53 million unpeople are quite meaningless to me, besides it has a wonderful effect on crime.
And what legs do I lack sir? Are you aware that this is an ad hominem fallacy? Discrediting me because you can see no weakness in my argument. Poor strategy sir, unless you only argue to make yourself feel good.
@KaletheQuick 53million"UNPEOPLE??"AS I SAY..HOLLOW BULLSH*T
And the correct term is argumentim ad hominem. And it's not ARGUMENTIM AD HOMINEM if the stated facts relate to the conversation at hand. You prove my point too when you say 53million dead babies are meaningless to you and"besides their deaths have a wonderful effect on crime".That's real cute hitler. You no doubt think that the slaughter of 6million Jews was a good thing to!Every one reading your statements knows that you are braindead
@KaletheQuick 53million"UNPEOPLE??"AS I SAY..HOLLOW BULLSH*T
@fabianstraregy Why? Because we do not agree on what constitutes a "baby?" Or when life begins? If a woman ovulates and by some freak occoruance the egg has all the chromosomes needed it it a full life? If she lets her period happen is it murder as you described? Are each of the faceless cells of a human human in themselves? Is ejaculation murder? And as for the effect on crime, look up the sudden crime rate drop in 1991, 18 years after Roe v Wade.
In the 1960's all and only white countries opened up their borders to massive non-white immigration. Then governments and media demanded we all "mix together." Now those same governments and media are saying that be the year 2040, there won't be a single white majority nation left on the planet. If this was done to all and only black countries, people would quickly recognize it for the genocide that it is. "Anti-racism" is a codeword for anti-white.
"liberal" is a ironic euphemism the cultural marxists use. they are anything but liberal. try it and disagree with them about something and notice how you get called all kinds of names ^^
@lysol5555 Sorry to correct you, but conservatives were the ones who wanted to get rid of slavery, and if you go back and look. You will find out that it was Republicans/ conservatives were the ones who voted for the Civil Rights Act in the sixties, and the Dems were the ones who tried to vote it down.
What conservatives stand for is the Constitution and for it means.

Andrew Klavan youre a stupid bastard that thinks snide patronisation makes you sound clever. in reality your a smug prick that writes mystery novels, not an intelligent academic or social visionary. your beliefs are so stupid im surprised you think you can pass yourself of as an educator, which is what i assume you believe you are. right wingers like you are the exact reason america is in the situation its in, and your beloved republicans have sold control of america to the wealthy.
mintyvision 1 day ago
@mintyvision I don't think you've ever heard of intelligent humor before, and if you have you can't spot it. When you say "in reality your" (mind you you misspelled you're but oh well) you come off thinking you know the man personally, when in reality there is a slim chance you do. Secondly, stating that his, or even many's beliefs are "stupid" without facts is highly uneducated and childish. Why do you view his beliefs to have gotten "America in the situation it's in" ? explain, don't bitch.
darkpast99 21 hours ago
@darkpast99 i dont know the man, but if i met him id tell him to his face what i think of him and his unfunny rightwing views. if you think this is intelligent humour then you are not an intelligent person. his views on, george bush, israel and abortions are disgusting, and pander to the religious right eroding constitutional secularism. right wingers harp on about liberty, democracy, and the stupidity of educated lefties whilst pushing for plutocracy, greed, social exclusion and segregation.
mintyvision 21 hours ago
@mintyvision First off, it is intelligent humor, from the song to the cheap drawings and even the reference to the birds & the bees don't be stuck up all the time. And woah there, "pander to the religious right eroding constitutional secularism" ? So the conservatives, who believe in the constitution want the church to guide them...i'm pretty sure they don't want that seeing how they want to rule themselves, BUT they DO want to follow the guidelines of Christ,i.e. don't lie, cheat & steal.
darkpast99 20 hours ago
@darkpast99 yeah the guidlines of christianity: persecute homosexuals, opose family control, people that believe dont believe your nonsense are going to hell, were all sinners, cover up the crimes of your friends, all those great values that should be kept well away from modern civilisation. people that believe in god are backward and have no place in government.
mintyvision 7 hours ago
@mintyvision I said basic guidelines, not follow the high king of heaven. The country was made to make sure that there wouldn't be a dominant religion. However, Christianity is highly influential because the US was founded on its guidelines. As far as homosexuality, some people like it some don't. We have logical debates on how to handle it. You are in fact pointing out people like Westboro, who claim to be god lovers and fag haters. In truth only Westboro people like Westboro.
darkpast99 5 hours ago
@mintyvision Oppose family control? Any sort of control on how i teach and raise my kids is obviously rejected, as long as I'm not hanging them by their feet in a shark tank. "people that believe dont believe your nonsense are going to hell, were all sinners". Yeah? Point being? That's what we believe. Do republicans wake up every day, walk up to the nearest atheist and do nothing but say how they're going to hell? As a matter of fact we respect your decision if you're respectful and don't care.
darkpast99 5 hours ago
@darkpast99 well your beliefs are wrong and disguisting. who the fuck are you bastards to conemn everyone as sinners. you dont seem to know the meaning of family control. christians dont respect anyones decisions, infact your cultural heritage is to burn nonbelievers.
mintyvision 5 hours ago
@mintyvision Yes, you're correct. We hold public executions in the town square every day at high noon punishing non-believers we do this non-stop in America, I mean you would know! You mistake me, as well as all other Christians, for large groups of radical muslims within the middle east.
darkpast99 5 hours ago
@mintyvision And once again we see a moron thinking that calling someone a "bastard" or using other profanity will magically make their argument seem valid. I have yet to call you a "fuck-head" , despite my personal emotions. Why you ask? Because put simply it actually makes you look like a small child, unable to control himself.
darkpast99 5 hours ago
@mintyvision And if you were educated, like you claim to be, you would know when a government is ruled by people who don't believe, we get people like Stalin and Lenin. If you're not governed by god you'll be ruled by tyrants.
darkpast99 5 hours ago
@darkpast99 sorry what? religion has murdered far more than tyrants who happen to be athiests. no tyrant has been a tyrant in the name of athiesm, where as many, many have been im the name of god. your beliefs and fellow belivers are sick in the head.
mintyvision 5 hours ago
@mintyvision Yet again, you base the actions of a few on your whole perception of many. I have claimed that when we see atheist rise to power we see the result is, but replacing them with a man with a sense of morals, we see how greatness can be achieved. Not full on religious per-say, but someone who follows the guidelines.
darkpast99 5 hours ago
@mintyvision Secondly, Right wingers "harp" upon the lefties? That sir/madam is not an argument you want to have. I will say however that one of the key points of a republic, that is to debate, because then the best option rises to the top. So your "harping" is a required gear in the matrix that makes up our system.
darkpast99 20 hours ago
@darkpast99 not just do right wingers harp on about lefties, they actively make slanderous remarks based on lies. just watch fox for 30 seconds.
mintyvision 7 hours ago
@mintyvision Third, regarding plutocracy, I will ASSume on my part you're referring to low taxes on businesses and the lack of higher taxes on millionaires. Correct me if i'm wrong on that one, then I'll continue. Fourth, segregation, seriously? The left continuously states that the right is racist, despite the kkk themselves being a branch of the left, but oh well. OH YEAH! The Republican party was started by Abe Lincoln! You know the guy that freed the slaves, right? Know your history.

Your forgetting the part where banks can magically generate more money without creating anything of value
dreamihad 2 weeks ago

@Srd1126 Why do you think Hitler lost WWII? He was overstretched he lost the public relations battle. You don't win support by resorting to mass murder. @Srd1126 wholly opposed to constantly keeping on guard an excess of people who just want to find a way to pay off college debt. Just wikipedia the "art of war". We're doing it all wrong. treygordo 2 weeks ago
The introduction of paper and coin currency is to lower the transactions (i.e. your time and effort) of the bartering exchange method you spoke of. If you wanted government to keep there hands off your money you wouldn't use paper and coin currency because government has more control over that then they do bartering free markets. Free markets without the federal reserve would allow for competing currencies within our own borders which would be chaotic and irritating.
treygordo 2 weeks ago
@treygordo actually, no, just tie US money to actual gold....
xerakis 2 weeks ago
@xerakis
right the old "gold standard". we live in a globalized economy now more than ever. The united states always has a negative balance of trade (i.e. we import more than we export, lowering national income) and when we have more imports than exports the "gold standard" can't exist. Besides, paper money has not been redeemable for gold since 1971.
treygordo 2 weeks ago
@treygordo totally disagree , the balance of trade is not a factor when looking at the stability of fiat money.... the problem is the printing of fiat money has led to a tremendous amount of devaluation and is detrimental to peole who save. The only thing keeping us alive is the fact that the dollar is a reserve currency, if not for that we'd be dead in the water.

I've encountered plenty of liberals - or left leaning - people who believe public employees contribute to tax revenue. How tax dollars contribute tax dollars I don't know, but many liberals I know seem to think it does.
mtb416 3 weeks ago
@mtb416 if it's a service that the majority wants, then everyone pays for the service through taxes (e.g. public schools). It's a small loss for everyone, but for a service that the majority wants. No revenue here to pay for debt.
Other gov run companies can be just like any other companies, and so public employees contribute to tax revenue like anyone else.

@LJonathan of course the employees will create demand in the free market in ways that can keep the unemployment rate down etc.
LJonathan 2 weeks ago
@LJonathan assuming of course in cases where government would hire more people...
LJonathan 2 weeks ago
@LJonathan Much of this 'government demand' you speak about is created by government itself. This is where public and private wildly differ. The market is hardly the determining factor when it comes to things outside education, streets, police, etc.
If the salary for a particular job is paid for by tax dollars it is NOT contributing to the overall tax revenues.
mtb416 1 week ago
@mtb416 but contributing to overall tax revenues is not always the goal. Sometimes the goal is simply to provide for a service at as low of a cost as possible. People lose less money buying public services than they do buying private services. If not, then something is very wrong.
The demand I refer to is a positive byproduct created by individuals (public employees), not the government. You know, if the unemployment rate is higher without public services, then the people will spend less.

@LJonathan {if it's a service that the majority wants, then everyone pays for the service through taxes}
Is it a service everyone wants? No.
Is it a service everyone pays for in accordance to their use? No.
Do these things inherently make it theft? Yes.
Why is that so hard to understand? You simply do not have the right to force me to fund your bright ideas, no matter HOW MANY you are.

Rights are just things human beings can assert or not assert to help form and reform the society they live in. They are not objective.
sicktoaster 2 weeks ago
@sicktoaster How dangerous you sound! I guess you would claim that the right to live your life as you see fit is just a figment of our overzealous human imagination.
They're called "natural rights", and as such they exist outside and above the realm of government. It is this very struggle that determines the degree to which a society is free. You have some reading to do. I shall point you in every direction...

@mtb416
That depends on what you mean by "right to live your life as you see fit"

@sicktoaster It might help move things along in your mind a bit and see others' perspective if you bothered to get a big boy job.
payleryder45 3 weeks ago
I am a lawyer pulling in big money. And I still want the government to make magnet trains. Getting a "big boy job" didn't change my perspective.
That would actually help most businessmen as well as the general public. Why are you so against it?
sicktoaster 2 weeks ago
@sicktoaster Because when the goverment does something in the private business world it never works or works poorly. So then the goverment raises taxes on you and I. So how about this. Private citizens with a good chunk of money design and build some.

@sicktoaster {You don't? Tough shit. I can vote..}
You misspeak -- you can put into power people who will use force to make others do your will. How is that any different from the mindset of a tyrant? Do you think it makes you less responsible because you have cohorts? An accomplice to a crime is guilty of the crime itself.

The government is needed to pay for some things such as healthcare for people who can't afford it.
The alternative is people dying because they don't have affordable healthcare.

@sicktoaster {The government is needed to pay for some things such as healthcare for people who can't afford it.}
So sick people have the right to take other peoples money at gunpoint to pay for their needs?
If this is true, then why don't starving people in other countries have the right to take your money for their needs?

KaletheQuick 3 weeks ago
@KaletheQuick You only feel patronized because you know that you're the lib he's talking to. Otherwise he's only bringing clarity to the subject which you should already know . But since you don't know , you feel ignorant and that feeling makes you want to lash out . And so rather than learning something , you come away with annoyance and NO understanding . And that's how I prefer liberals---barefoot and stupid ; you're easier to bash that way :)
fabianstraregy 3 weeks ago in playlist MONEY
@fabianstraregy Don't know what sir? Economics? I don't believe I disagreed with the video, just it's condescending manner. Money and the value ascribed to it are abstract things and I don't think I disagreed with that. And last I checked I have never voted for a Democrat. I am just annoyed by people who talk down to another group as a persuasive strategy, it is highly ineffective. And how did you come at all these assumptions about me hmm? And what makes you think I am bashable?
KaletheQuick 3 weeks ago
@KaletheQuick Well I'm a conservative patriot among other things and I did'nt feel patronized , but you did . Why is that ? From here on out , if you had'nt noticed , conservatives have taken the gloves off . We take no fcukin' prisoners ; It's off with his/her head , that's figuratively for you lib dummies . If you're a lib then you are 100% bashable . Also if you're a conservative defending libs then you certainly are bashable and you are a traitor to liberty :)
fabianstraregy 3 weeks ago
@fabianstraregy I think you are seeing things in a little too black and white sir. I like many people lean differently on various topics, and do not align myself with either word. And I did not say that I personally felt patronised, just that his manner was patronising, which it is, he is talking down to his audience as if they are children. Whether they are or not is irrelevant.
Instead of such bad manner, just have a good argument in the first place. One based on facts.
KaletheQuick 3 weeks ago
@KaletheQuick You most definitely are a lib because you do what they do and that is to take the "relative" position on anything especially when you don't have a leg to stand on . There is blk and there is wht . There is good and there is evil . Your kind has murdered 53 million babies on the abortion table . Now you want FACTS there's 53 fcuking million of 'em . Your attempt at relativism is stunningly hollow .I think we're likly done because you'll just come back with some more hollow bulsh*t .
fabianstraregy 3 weeks ago
@fabianstraregy What hollow bullshit? If you want to argue politics I would be happy to oblige, message me or something. As for abortions, I don't see fetuses as people. So 53 million unpeople are quite meaningless to me, besides it has a wonderful effect on crime.
And what legs do I lack sir? Are you aware that this is an ad hominem fallacy? Discrediting me because you can see no weakness in my argument. Poor strategy sir, unless you only argue to make yourself feel good.

@KaletheQuick 53million"UNPEOPLE??"AS I SAY..HOLLOW BULLSH*T

The thing I don't like about conservatives, is that they are too resistant to change. I think society needs some good changes to move forward.
Conservatives throughout history support slavery, women bondage, colonialism, racism.
The thing I like about conservatives, is that they are pretty practical people.
Young people should be little liberal and experiment with new ideas. That's how society improved.
The conservatives of our time is really liberal compared to their grandfathers!
lysol5555 3 weeks ago
@lysol5555 Sorry to correct you, but conservatives were the ones who wanted to get rid of slavery, and if you go back and look. You will find out that it was Republicans/ conservatives were the ones who voted for the Civil Rights Act in the sixties, and the Dems were the ones who tried to vote it down.
What conservatives stand for is the Constitution and for it means.
