  • 6:14 illegal lane change? Changing lanes in the intersection?

  • fuck on phoenix az the higer is 91 wtf

  • Yawn.

  • how many miles per full tank do you get outta this bike?

  • I have a moped with a hole just big enough for a nozzle, and I don't want to overspill it on my first attempt looking like a fool. HELP?

  • still have ppl working at the gas station like that in that kind of gas station wow

  • On the owners manual it says you only need 87 octane for K6/K7 Gixxer 600. There's no real advantage of putting in 94 octane or anything like that. I fill my K7 600 all the time with 87 and its all good. The 1000 and maybe the 750 need a high octane like 94.

  • To keep from overflowing, it helps to buy a couple dollars worth and pay ahead. That way the pump runs very slowly. If you don't use the entire $2 worth, they will give you change.

  • i would just run you over if you switched lanes like that in front of me...

  • highest we have in NC is 93 we also have racing fuel but thats 7$ a gallon

  • That is so wierd , you have to have someone help you fill your tank. Here in NC its all self serve so you do it your self. Which saves a lot of time

  • like the vid but i cant find one to fill up the reserve tank :/ because my fuel light comes on right as i run out of gas before i have to switch to the reserve

  • @roboguyr there is no such thing as a reserve tank on newer bikes. When my light starts flashing I can go 30 to 40 more miles.

  • Your a very nice women very respectful well just wanted to say thanks for the video very helpful here in CA I seen 92 octane. I want to get a R6 as a first bike.

  • subscribing! :)

  • 98 I've seen in the UK

  • A women! on a motorbike!?

  • @Sharpy166 sexy right?

  • Great vid. I live in NJ where you also aren't supposed to pump your own gas and only full serve is available. When I first got my bike, I was a bit confused about how that would go, but basically you give them the card and they let you do the fill.

I will say this - I have never had any of the gas station employees hand me a paper towel to stop drips. If they did, you bet I would offer him/her a dollar or two as a tip. If they don't take it so be it, but I would still offer.

  • ive only ever seen 91 haha

  • do u have to run premium

  • Already Subscribed?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN I'VE ALREADY SUBSCRIBED?! D:<

  • i know this vid is old. but i miss the days when gas was $2 and some change! i like in ky and we are paying $4.15 for 87 octane! so when i put 93 octane in my bike i am paying close to $4.50!

  • isnt it depressing seeing gas prices in the low 2's @4:55 and realizing how high they are now

  • @VEVODRod it SUCKS huh?

  • You drive very cautiously and respectful. Most bikers I see usually just weave through traffic and always go straight to the front of the queue at the traffic lights :).

  • 99 octane ftw. Wikipedia seems to suggest that octane numbers in the us are lower due to climate and altitude.

  • Pink wallet for the win!

  • Here in the UK we have to get off an do it our selves + most places dont have pay by card. your luckyer!

  • "Standard' here is 95 and premium is 98. I always just get standard.

  • That's so weird... up in Alaska it's all self-serve at the gas stations. Up in Philadelphia it seemed to be not so much... and then here in Virginia it's all self-serve. Wonder what governs that.

  • cant believe you guys only get 93 octane we get a standard 97 in all stations acros the uk and some like shell do 99 octane

    bummer

  • @m4cd4d That's the hippies in Oregon for ya! :(

  • @ashf00t lol California only gets 91

  • @96shox well, it makes sense. Most premium car such as BMW, mercedes, and others use 91 octane. The other percent use 87. For whatever reason, here in florida we have 87, 89(who uses this), and 93. I don't get why we don't have 91, which many cars use, 93 is higher(which isn't bad, it just doesn't do anything better and it cost more). I wish we had 91.

  • @m4cd4d we have a different octane rating here in europe... 93 in US is about the same as 98 in europe =)

  • @anonymous36594 thanks anon i have looked this up and it appears to be correct so thats info i never knew i stand corrected

  • @m4cd4d we dont even get 93. we get 91 max

  • @m4cd4d That's 93 AKI.. which is equivalent to your 97 RON in the UK.

  • @m4cd4d 98 in Australia ;)

  • @m4cd4d

The octane rating method is not the same in the UK as it is in the States.

  • @m4cd4d Not gonna explain it all but the US uses a different octane ranking system, our 93 is ~98octane in your country.

  • Weird for me to say this but you have pretty hands...(So weird right?)

    lol Mordeth....Memories :D

I really want to see his face though.

  • 92 is the highest in Oregon or just at that station?

  • @BigDiesel85 highest in Oregon :(

  • @ashf00t Oh wow.. I thought it was 93 everywhere

I wonder why Oregon would limit it to just 92

  • @BigDiesel85 Hippies...hippies :(

  • @ashf00t lol

  • @BigDiesel85 the highest in utah or atleast the highest i've seen is 91

  • @kaalakaikoa - NJ has 94 but only in Sunoco stations

  • Thats the station i fill up at whenever im home from school

  • @NKRansom Heh! Expensive eh?

  • Cool video. However, I don't think I would hand my card to an anyone at all especially some illegal immagrant not even for one second. Card could be cloned just as fast as it is swiped. The guy could have a magnetic card reader in his jacket for all you know. Just a friendly tip.

  • Haha I like how u say u were goin the other way as if the mail man can hear u!

  • "what kind yoo wan" i kno hes illegal

  • @squarecnix

Said the guy who can't seem to form a coherent sentence without making major spelling mistakes.

  • @dazzelya LOL "major spelling mistakes" huh? not adding a "w" is a major spelling mistake? Wow. If you are speaking about the quote, then thank you for truly showing you're the biggest retard on YouTube for not noticing it was a quote.

  • @squarecnix

'Quoting' someone and then writing it phonetically might still count as a quote (to you), but you still misspelled half of the sentence. Not adding a 'w' is a major spelling mistake? Yes. not using a capital 'I', forgetting an apostrophe and not using any form of punctuation is incorrect as well.

It's clear who the retard is here, and it's not me.

Don't expect me to reply to you again, angry little boy.

    :)

  • how do u kno wen its filled

    and nice bike toooo :)

  • @123Blazerx Thanks! Pretty much till you see the gas almost reach the brim is when I stop filling.

  • @dzij4 I just use the highest octane, you get better gas millage out of it. Thanks for watching!

  • Don't EVER look down in Traffic....tisk tisk very dangerous

  • @MrSpeedfightRichy Thanks!

  • we only have 91 octane in cali, we serve ourselves

  • we only have 91 octane in cali

  • My clutch control fails on roads, I want to move fast thus I panic and then end up releasing my clutch sooo slow and giving it gas like YEAH BITCH!! then lean forward as the bike jolts xD

  • Which state do you live in? Is that a full service gas station? Haven't seen one for a long time. =)

  • @ricci530 Oregon

  • I don't know whether this is a stupid question or if you've answered it already but does the gas flow stop when the tank is full the same as a car?

  • @ThaBR33D not on a bike. You want to watch the gas as it fills otherwise you won't get a full tank.

  • Yea! ... I was going to ask about this... since when I made a short visit to Portland last year (rental car) and realized it was one of the two states that is "full serve only". I wondered how it worked, since I'd feel a little uncomfortable about the whole thing if someone did it for me with me on the bike. I have to say, NJ (the other such state) I didn't get gas, but I needed cover to change rain gear, and the attendant yelled at me for getting off my bike ('closed pump' he kept yelling).

  • Why do you have the nike wrist band around your brake fluid reservoir?

  • @WorkingHardSon Multiple reasons. So the sun doesn't hit it, so it doesn't change a different color, and because I like it there :)

  • @ashf00t In other words, just because. No REAL reason for it at all.

  • @ar135v You guys also calculate octane ratings differently. 98 in Belgium is 93 in the US. The rest is very true though =)

  • im sorry ash but what is a "good gas station" lol

  • @rich80baby haha it's a gas station that doesn't water down their gas. I know that all gas stations have to go through certain tests but I once got gas at a gas station called Arco and my light came on after only going 90 miles! I usually can go 130 to 140 miles before my light come on. So I try to only buy Shell, Chevron, or 76 gas. Ya it's more expensive but I'd rather get my mileage worth!

  • @ashf00t ohhhh thanks soo much about getting to me on the gas question... wow i didnt know there is a "watered down gas" and "good gas"

  • She said "card in the slot" hehe hehe great vid

  • Haha i rememver when i filled my bike up 4 the first time it messed me all up when i realuzed that the thing wasnt gonna click when it was full

  • new jersey has the same law its stupid i know i pump gas in new york but its not required here. i have a 02 gsxr 1000 i love it. you should always put the good stuff in cause these bikes run like 11-12:1 compression

  • Yup, I always put the highest octane in my bike with at the best gas station.

  • thats good it lowers the chance of detonation by using the better gas. i try to get fuel with no ethonol its not good for bikes and boats. plus it lowers your fuel milage. keep burning up the road and come on spring and summer.

  • I watch this video over and over. Not to learn how to fill the bike but because the acoustics are amazing with your engine noise under that gas station

  • I rather pump my own gas.

  • Not to bad, Let me start off by saying your videos are awsome Great Job with all the emphasis on GREAT. If you had another chance to purchase another bike what would you get?

  • I actually don't really know what I'd want. I've been asked that after I've ridden this bike for more than a year and I still say I can't think of another bike I'd want! I guess I'd have to wait a couple of years to see what they come up with for new bikes!

  • Whats up MPG on the GSXR 600?

  • I get about 44 mpg but a lot of peeps get 40 because they ride their gixxers hard.

  • do you need to put high octane gas in supersports?

  • They run better and get better gas millage when you do put higher octane in it.

  • Wow, they still have gas service these days? amazing. we got 93 octane here, thought it was pretty much the same everywhere, guess not. I'm in TX btw.

  • so in that gasoline station people fill your tank for you except when you are on a bike? never had anyone fill my tank, uk is all fill your own tank stations. Why did you give him your card before you filled up? dont you pay after you know how much you have put in , as i have seen a few fault machines in my time.

Also one final thing, we have LPG over here and its called gas, and we have petrol, so over there if you wanted LPG you would say gas, and if you wanted petrol you would say gas!?!?!

  • I live in a state that has a no self serve law when it comes to gas. However due to gas station's policy they aren't allowed to fill smaller vehicle's gas tanks (ie Motorbikes, dirt bikes, gas cans). I can put in my card before I pump and whatever I stop at gets charged to my card (I get a receipt afterwards to know what they charged me).

I'm not sure what LPG is but is it propane gas? If so, that's what we call it propane.

I know you guys call it petrol...we don't lol

  • how come oregon doesn't have a self service station?

  • it's just a stupid law for oregon...

  • You're not supposed to sit over the gas tank because the fumes can damage your helmet liner and its probably not good for your body either... so I always leave it on the side stand and fill. It won't fill all the way but it works.. and I get 60mpg on my 250 =)

  • haa cool thanks sry for asking all these questions its cuz im about to get that exact same bike in a couple of months and im super exictied how much was the drive out on your bike?

  • drive out? I'm confused. Where am I going? lol

  • hey ok i freaking loveeeeeeeeee your bikeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee that the exact one im a be getting within the next couple of months i wanted to ask you a question thoo hows the riding on long trips is it confterbale cuz my dad has a cruiser and he like to go on somewhat long rides so i was wondering how that bike would be you know

  • My back starts hurting as well as my throttle hand after about an hour and a half of riding. Taking breaks is a must haha.

  • hey how much money does it take to fill the tank up all the way

  • well it's a 4.3 gallon tank and I usually fill it when the light turns on (when there is only a gallon left) so 3 gallons for about 7 or 8 bucks.

  • wow over there the gas is cheap in here is 2.80

  • i loved,,,,,

  • M13 is the ma.

  • What´s with the tennis wristband on the brake fluid reservoir? I know everybody uses, just don´t know why.

  • i did not know there was a good kind of gas

  • haha, well ya the kind that is better for your bike, not necessarily the planet...

  • Was directed over to your channel by RebelYell91 from his gas filling vid. I mentioned being from Oregon and was wondering how it worked for bikers. Thanks for the vid, good to know for when I get my bike :-)

  • sweet! He's my bud :)

  • Mordeth13 has some great videos. Did you start recording your own bike videos cause of him?

    I love your videos.

  • yup, he was part of the inspiration to do vlogging. Others helped too :)

  • Very nice, keep up the good work!

  • When I came up to visit a friend in oregon I had the same issue with gas stations as alot of the commenters. Being from the midwest, gas stations dont exactly help you in any way. When the guy started messing with my car I got offensive and when he said he got it I assured him I could pump my own gas. My friend then explained ot me that they did it, my first comment was "do I have to tip these people?" in as I was completely confused. Good way to squeeze a few more jobs out... pun intended.

  • OMG! You have gas station attendants???????? Is that by law or something?

  • yes, in oregon and new jersey ( and i think a couple more) it is illegal to fill up your own gas

  • I remember there was one video Mordeth made when he filled up his tank and he made a joke about 92, I laughed so hard. He said "I am crazy I will put 92 in my tank and I will love it, I will be like mm 92 that's the good shit" xD

  • Thanks for making a video helped me alot

  • Hey I Just subscribed to your videos, and am going through them all now, this is another good vid!

  • once again loving the purr mhmmmm

  • 98p a 1 liter

  • Haha, I wonder how much hes making, that must be one of the best jobs you can have. We need one of those here so I can get to work! lol =D

  • Someone pumped it for you!? Dang, i gotta go there! :p Oh wait, you said gas, my bad.

  • its the law

  • Oops, sorry didn't notice that Bill already brought up NJ. My bad.. :( Get this.. Oregon was having the highest to pay for gas, with the crappiest quality. Go figure right??

God I miss my trips up to Canada. 99 octane baby!! There was one place that actually had I think 100, or just over. It may have been in my mind, but I swear that my MR2 ran better and had better gas mileage on that tank. :)

  • it actually isn't 99 or 100 octane, they use a different measurement system so its the same.

  • Only Oregon and New Jersey have it as a Law that you can not pump your own gas.

I remember filling up the first time I moved here. The gas attendant damn near threatened me while I was filling up. Apparently on that 5 hour flight I had forgotten how to pull out nozzel, stick in car, and when done put it back. Very complicated these things. LOL

The attendants let you pump your own though if you're on a bike. Otherwise they become like the Seinfeld Soup Nazi. Lol

  • do you usually cruise around in 1st gear?

  • 92 is shit in the uk we get 98 and 99 lol

  • What does that cost?

  • That is amazing Oregon's service is Awesome (:

I think I may do a video like this soon as well Lol

  • Like giving me a baby...Lol! I love it when the comments are just as good as the video..

  • Dang it, I'm sick of not being able to vlog! I have a funny story about stopping for gas in the middle of nowhere Wyoming that I would totally post as a response to this one..=(...18 more days...18 more days..Great vid Ash.. Oh yeah BTW, Jersey is the same way..only two states pump for ya..I didn't know this and when I stopped for gas, dude creeped up on me and I thought I was about to get bike jacked!

    Take Care,

    Billy

  • wow, weird that I didn't see this comment till now, haha cool story :)

  • I'm always extremely careful coming out of a gas station because of all the oil on the ground.

Did you notice what you said to the guy in the truck at the end....or I should say how you said it? Funny how we all mumble like that :)

  • More jobs and some people who don't live here think it's because we don't want to leave our nice warm cars (that is if we have one) or get wet.

This was all I've ever knew until I got older and went to Cali with my dad once. And I said, "why isn't anyone coming out and helping us?" He said, "In other states honey we have to pump our own gas." My response? "Well that's just silly!"

    HAHA!

  • thats much more impressive than my video, HA. Thanks for the shout.

  • lol thanks! Why? Cause you were waiting in a line a person long who was buying water? :p

  • Yep. Oregon is the dream state for lazy people like me. To bad its cold and rainy.

  • What strange ways you have in Oregon. When i get gas it usually involves taco bell :p

  • haha, never fail to amuse me, you do!

  • Good comments lead to amusement. Amusement leads to happyness and happyness leads to pleasure. The dark side are they. ;)

  • I believe that very rare footage I found of you was after a taco bell bender

  • Very rare footage lol *looks for bag of peanuts to throw* :p

  • Ash, were you switching lanes in a intersecton @ 6:10 lol

  • yaya, that stupid car wouldn't let me in!!!!

  • maybe it's just me but the best thing about filling up is when it's summer and the new cold petrol makes the tank feel all cool between your legs... ahhhhh...

  • that sounds perverted but yeah it is nice

  • In my 25 years i've never seen someone filling up people cars/bikes in the UK, wonder if they did?

  • lol $2.05 for unleaded... as opposed to $2.05 for leaded?

  • Unleaded, premium, and super/ultra/ the like. My super gas was like $2.40.

  • haha wow full service only. that's interesting.

  • LOL Ash so you're actually having to put gas in your tank? Thats unheard of for Oregon lol!!! j/k

  • I know! But they let you do it if your a motorcyclist!

  • Wow, definitely dont have service like that here in Pittsburgh, PA... But thats a great idea with the paper towel while putting it in and taking it out not to get gas on your tank paint...which i always seem to do, but never noticed it hurting anything yet... but im going to start doing it your way cuz i hate smelling it though as i ride for awhile! and i was always told to put 93 or up in my bike...in the summer time i put racing fuel in my bikes, you'd be amazed of how it cleans ur exhaust tip

  • and i can only imagine how it cleans everything on the inside also!

  • That's why I found it weird when Cipster had 94, our highest is 92! And ya the paper towel comes in handy!

  • Mordeth had a video of him filling up and talking to the gas attendents in one of his older videos. ShockAweNow has done it a couple times and talked to random strangers at the gas station. :) There's almost rarely any full service stations in CA. I wouldn't want the pressure or feel guilty having to tip them for helping.

  • o ya, now I remember that one! But wasn't he on his scooter?

I also don't feel guilty, it's their job and they can't accept tips...

  • they cant except tips wtf i pump in new york and the tips are part of my income thar 30-40 bucks a day helps out alot in this day and age thats weird i didnt know that. i know they dont fill up tractor trailers either when i drove truck i pumped my own so it must be just cars huh.i wouldnt pump if i couldnt get tips they must get paid like 10 an hr if no tips?

  • WTF, you have gas station people help you fill up? I've never seen that down here in SoCal. :O

I like to pull in with the pump on my right because I'm right handed and it makes it easier to use my debit card.

I get frustrated every time I see you not filter through to the front at a light. I'm just thinking "gogogogogogogogo!"

  • I also like to come in with the pump on the right as well but the guy was already on that side so I just headed there. :p

If you don't like me not filtering just go watch Mordeth!

  • Haha,

Your comment literally made me laugh out loud, good on ya girly..

  • -.- we only have self serve in louisiana and it sux im lazy and hate to do stuff

  • how far can you normaly go befor your gas light comes on?

  • Was wondering the same thing. My gas light comes on at about 170 on my SV and can usually roll another 20 to 30 miles before I know I have to get gas.

  • in winter I can get about 110 miles before it comes on. In summer I get about 130 before.
