Yep noise is normal, I just thought it was funny when I first got it because it basically went "oink oink" when it wasn't able to focus lol.

I think the noise happens when it's trying to focus. I believe cameras now focus based on high contrast points and you're aiming at a white wall // it also depends on your focus mode, i just assume. But yeah mine makes the same sound.

I kinda have the same noise on my 35mm 1.8
Its like its confused or something
its smooth when AF far away objects
but still it makes me ANGRY!
