  • @2LateIWon ur retarded it was obviously ur mom getting pounded by a goat

  • hes got a cloud hat on. looks like a cowboy hat.

  • COOLEST Video on UTube!

  • Nicely played, and great demo of the versatility of this instrument.

  • i like this :)

  • nice!

  • Nice sound!

  • dats wats up. Ghetto Redneck.

  • Man I had one of these, same thing, Called a Dean Backwoods. I hated it. Like you say, always out of tune, constantly changing intonation and hell, even the damn drum head wouldn't stay tight. I expected more for the price but I guess I was wrong. THen I lost my ass when I sold it. Not a good investment at all.

  • my cheap 5 string banjo is uncapable of staying tune hahah. what a pitty! you're an awesome string player!! and nice background :)

  • Nice work dude!

  • I was thinking of getting this. But you're saying it doesn't stay in tune, correct?

  • Middle east metal banjo. Fluent and Zepped out!!!!!

  • Finally, somebody who can play. Nice job.

  • no, wait! IS that like a bango/guitar hybrid? like the sitar guitar? wow i gotta get one of these! looks like it plays just like an acoustic guitar.

  • Holy crap u actually somehow made the banjo cool! Wish it was as easy to play as the guitar or else i , myself, might get into the instrument.

  • the begining was trippy dude

  • i do not give a fuck! you will never hear or see me play 6 strings connected to a fucking snare drum, i think it sounds like shit! no disrespect, i just can stand the banjo

  • Rod, i heard more tunes from you, and you're fantastic on the strings! Glad to hear you on YouTube.

  • Definitely Led Zep-Jimmy Page influence. Sounds great!

  • good shit

  • These Cheapies when setup right they don't play bad. They are assembled by morons, You need to basically pull it apart and tighten it up and it will play MUCH better!

  • Why play a banjo when you can get one of these anyway? That is, assuming you already play guitar.

  • A 6 string banjo was good enough for Abner Jay.

  • well....personally (as a guitarist and guitar-banjo owner ^^) i would agree to that.

The voicings are a bit different...so you will not have 100% authentic banjo-sound. But for 99 percent of the cases it works fine - at least for me.

  • nah its not a banjo,i have one of these.theyre in guitar tuning with 6 strings.its a dean hence the the spread wing inlay at the 12th fret

  • Hey, I just got myself one, too :D

    I love it!

  • yeah i really like these

  • Do you have any material I could purchase, I could listen to this forever

  • I second that.... where can I get some more of this?

  • lol i like it for the fact your on your roof and you play it so diffrent but its awsome

  • i love these things when you play the bass strings it sounds like a dobro but when you pick higher strings its more banjo like awesome guitar i am definatly getting one of these lol

  • its not a banjo, but sounds cool.

  • Its a banjo.

  • its a guit-jo actually...

  • @CannibalGore almost a banjo.

  • That just sounded amazing.

  • Nuno Bettancourt influence?

  • Either way, this is entertaining-good job.

  • Do I hear some Gallow's Pole inspiration here? Maybe Bron Yaur Stomp?

  • Dude, you play in a band? You're awesome at this! If you sold this, I'd buy it!

  • nice shades

  • What is the tuning on the 6 string Banjo? how different is it from the standard tuning of a 6 string guitar? Sound good

  • same tuning, unless you want it different.

  • this rules!

  • Awesome!

That song really suits the banjo sound.

  • its not bad, but you should learn the 5 string banjo, it's got a different tuning, but it's so muich more fun. I play both and i usually choose my banjo over the guitar.

  • for sure zep influence. good on ya dude

  • I like your playing! it has a mideast flavor and sounds unique. I especially like the way you do fingerstyle without picks.

    nice

  • a kid with dreads playing a banjo....never see that every day

  • Braids. :)

  • Reminds me a little of Jimmy Page stuff

  • is that in standard tuning?

  • That's a very funky banjo. Six strings? And no octave key? Custom? Very fun tune ;-)

  • dean backwoods banjitar.

  • haha it's not custom, it's just crap. i'm surprised it hasn't fallen apart yet, and more surprised he can actually play on it

  • that would be because it is a 6 string banjo, typically tuned as a guitar..

  • Frigg'n, Rock On!

  • You might want to tighten the head up on that banjo. It sounds rather loose to me and it'll brighten up the sound a bunch.

  • i just shat my pants

  • Its a guitar with a head...umm ok? LOL

Good job picking that axe no matter what it is...

  • wow ur good

  • god all your stuff is so great.

  • thats ill! i want a banjo now

  • very nice

  • aha 6 strings banjo..really great..!

  • Jeez, i love this song so much, i really play it a lot! That's awesome! And the first minute is just so fucking great!

No matter how cheap it can be, when you can REALLY play, it turns out great anyway...!

    Thumbs up! =)

  • how do u have that thing tuned?

  • regular guitar tuning

  • Awesome.

  • Nice to see someone play the banjo asif it were a normal guitar. Works really well.

  • i have always adimre banjo players for their speed and picking technique but i never someone like you play it that cool,i am a begginer guitar player and looking at you play ,dont know if to quit or just get better than you ,of course it will take me years to acomplish that !by the way are you in USA or someplace else ! i live in New Jersey usa, and would be proud to have you as my teacher,!

  • Wow, that was amazing.

  • Great job. What is that song called? It's familiar, but it escapes me.

  • It's a song I wrote called "Purified". I play it on a 12 string...I had to return this banjitar cause it would not keep in tune...I'm gonna get a Gold Tone soon, much better quality!

  • Beautiful song. Thanks for posting it.

  • Do not get a cheap asian gold tone banjo. There are too many quality banjos available for you to get that will be better. P.S Banjos never stay in tune lol

  • yo did the strings on this banjo have to be super light and small?

I just got a 6 string banjo, but i dont dig the super light strings, but it almost seems like if i put anything heavier on that the bridge will snap. does this dean banjo, or the gold tone one you wonna get able to support heavy strings? and can u just use normal guitar strings, or do u have to get 6 string banjo ones?

  • I'll probably get killed for commenting on a banjitar by my peers, lol! but that was real good, nice playing man
