  • I'm making a Pittsburgh Battle Group (PBG)

  • Yes, you are.

This hobby however, is real and cool.

  • fake and gay

  • @SmelDiferenToMidget WTF? how can this be...FAKE?

  • @SmelDiferenToMidget really? you bring up two words. fake and gay. how is it fake if tis in real life? How is it gay if you havent tried it? Word your vocabulary more wisely next time so you wont get stood up by someone.

  • @avatar6565 Y ARE U BUTTHURT? are you gay and got offended by my comment

  • i want to join your group but i dont live in Australin bilde one and i dont hawe enuf money to ok li love to battle

  • can i goin your group

  • @SOXROCKERFELLA Of course you can, but we are based in Australia, so getting to a battle may be a little difficult.

  • Eu construi um ACOURAÇADO....

  • OMG there's one in Australia. There's still hope for me.

  • There are a few small, and I do mean SMALL, problem with that.

We sail in 1:144 scale, so any aircraft would be far too small to fly outside, let alone arm.

Apart from that, no-one's ever managed to get a model aircraft to take off from a model carrier, let alone land on one.

The cool factor would br off the charts if someone could do it, though.

  • You should use rc planes as well

  • name of music at beginning pls :O

  • We use steel balls for ammo, with three different sizes to represent the caliber of the guns the real ship was fitted with.

    3/16", 7/32" and 1/4".

  • now I want to join the navy

  • How do the guns work ?

  • @GhostDriver83 The guns are powered by CO2, supplied by an onboard tank, similar to the ones paintballers use.

  • @slightlyfloored Thanks ;-)

Do they use BB's or not ?

  • Most ships have remote rotation for foward and stern cannons. If you have two cannon up front, then they turn together, same at the rear.

The barrels can be lowered by remote, but not raised above horizontal (for safety reasons)

Foward guns are fired seperately from rear guns.

  • can you control each turrets individually? or are they pointed in a fixed direction? and can you fire them at serperate times? or is it a volley?

  • This looks cool, but wouldn't actually sinking them destroy any electronics inside? Seems like that would make this a damn expensive hobby if you had to replace all the internal circuitry every time it sank...

Although, what would be cool is making one where it was covered in turrets, and each turret had one person controlling it (and one person controlling the boat).

  • @McFuckNuggets The electronics are waterproofed or sealed in a watertight box, or both.

The ships only rarely sustain damage from being sunk, and most are returned to battle inside an hour.

All the ships are modelled from actual warships, but if you wanted to use four or five people to control one ship, that is allowed.

Four or five people controlling four or five separate ships is a whole lot more fun, however.

  • @slightlyfloored Well that makes a lot more sense... lol

And I like this idea, but I would probably want to be able to make any design I wanted (even weird ones that don't really exist). And I think it would be easier to have one person steer and one person control the turrets... But that's just me.

    Still, pretty cool!

  • 00:35, break in half!

  • testing my computer wont let me leave comments

  • song?

  • I got in huge trouble for trying to do this in 1988 on the lake that my town was built around! LOL

  • METAL GEAR HAHAH!

  • they need a aircraft carrier with rc planes that have airsoft guns on them

  • Comment removed

  • @halosuck99 Sorry, not possible in this scale.

Nobody has even managed to get an aircraft to take off from a carrier in this scale, landing one would be much harder and arming one virtually impossible.

    It would be cool though.

  • @slightlyfloored yea rc planes are too light and jump around too much to land on a carrier. the systems that would allow them to operate off of carriers are too expensive

  • @thegarlands04

I'd still like to see someone try landing a 1:144 scle plane on one of our carriers.

    The challenge is out there.......

  • Has there not been one kid who owned RC's that hasn't dreamed of this!

  • wher could i buy one of these i cant build one

  • t i det siste?

  • @kull1986 Spillet spilles fortsatt hver måned, er det mye moro.

  • That looks SO FUN!

  • whats the estimated fps for the pellets?

  • @HiredForLife24 Max velocity is 150fps.

Pellets are actually steel balls of varying sizes, acording to what size gun the full size ship had.

  • That looks pretty fun but since those expensive ships are just getting damaged thats a bit strange to do!

  • @2009Buzza

The ships are getting holes in them, but only in the expendable balsa skin.

They rarely suffer any lasting damage.

  • @slightlyfloored Very interesting!

  • you should add an aircraft carrier to the fleet, and launch RC planes off of it

  • @nealshireman

    dont worry man,

they have subs firing torpedos at ships,

they just need time to develop the rockets for the ships ect

  • im guna have the bigest most bad ass ship of em all

  • @TheCodeyp haha u ganna get wrecked by like 1 lil ass ship with 1 gun

  • lmfao they sink each other?!? awsome!

  • you need some flamethrowers fo sho

  • awesome viD!!!!!

  • money :(

  • @cowbuut I was actually thinking of getting people to do like the robot rumble but with RC ships that they build. You can buy some cheap RC boat, slap on some compressed air BB guns and so on.

  • lol, thumbs up...

  • x] lmao

  • lol

  • this is so cool; I always wished I had my own private pond so I could play with my own battleships and recreate WWII battles....sigh....no money.

  • @amartinjoe Get somewhere with a swimming pool, and invite other r/c nuts around. Maybe not as good as having your own ships, but lots of entertainment. Also makes it easier to collect the "vanquished;" the pool net would come in handy

  • @amartinjoe move to norway an buy your area....... im not even 20 and i own 1..... use it for RC with friends

  • i wish i could join but i live in NJ

    T_T

  • i'd just go to the bottom of that place in my wetsuit and flippers and i swaer, i'd probably get like 50 col rc battleships from the bottom....xD

  • Very cool! any flame throwers?

  • sounds like combat arms song

  • This might be the nerdiest thing I've ever seen, I guess what I'm trying to say is..... I'm interested in the hobby.

  • Im just interested if that can/ do you use aircraft carriers and subs or do you just use battle ships and supply vessels

  • mainly battleships, as miniature planes are near impossible to create, although I have seen some CO2 powered torpedos

  • Dont they shoot pellets kind of like BB's ? or metal BB's ?

  • metal bb's! are you interested of the hobby?

  • Lol, got to laugh at the comment that says "what do they shoot?" and someone replies .45 caliber bullets

  • @holyshitdude91669 Were an American Group that will anounce real combat artillery shells on WW2 on 8 foot steel hulled ships with our first annual real war games using live ammunition in May of 2012.

    We play for keeps

  • @LottoWinner999 So where's your video??? Show us the ships!

  • yea me too. Wish they startet it in Denmark

  • Too bad i dont live in australia

  • One club in California , one in Ohio/great lakes area. 2 are in Texas. Those are the ones I found on the internet.

  • the photo of the boat allmost vertical with the other destroer by it is pricless! you guys should make some VIDEOS!!

  • wat do they shoot?

  • .45 caliber bullets.

  • Ball bearings propelled by compressed CO2

  • .50 Beowulf rounds and 48 inch mortar shells

  • lmao, i have to correct you there, i think its actually Incendiary .50 BMG rounds

  • Does this type of ship modeling have a specific name?

  • they should make a little aircraft carrier with little rc planes and helis

  • ok is there a place where i can get a guide to building the turrets im building a 1/75 scale yamato but not sure how to do the turrets

  • what do those models shoot? Little popgun shells, that would be cool.

  • Small ball bearings.

  • at 0:27 to the left theres a natzi flag! down with the natzis

  • I think its because the ship was a "Bismarck"

and you wrote it wrong, its not natzi, its nazi.

how ever, the sign is named "Hakenkreuz"

(naziflagg is wrong in some ways)

    however,

    welfare u comrad o.O

  • (I´m not sure wether it is a Bismarck,

didn´t see one for long time)

  • its so he can recover the sunkin ship its attacted to a line and its only to make the ship lokk more to scale it dont mean he is a nazi fk

  • i have a 6 ft battle ship and 2 supply ship and 1 tug.

  • crimson tide- hans zimmer

  • its a nice video, is there somfin to do in holland to ??? pleace tell me

  • do u make them ur self or buy the ships???

  • We generally buy the fibreglass hulls and outfit them ourselves.

  • you MAKE!!!!

  • What good is this with no video?!

  • i can see shotguns and synamite being pretty deadly in this clip instent bam! Anybody notice the one ship under persih has a german flag floating on the left?

  • I think she's the Bismarck, or a similar ship of her class.

  • where can i but a war ship like this

    that SHOOTS

  • Is there such a Thing in holland?

  • Hi is there a battle group in ohio

  • how about Arizona

  • I'm wondering the same... I do know there is a Midwestern Battle Group which covers the Midwest, but I don't think there are any just Ohio clubs.

  • if i made a fleet like this i make sure that no motha try's to destroy me

  • nice music crimson tide?

  • ill be costal defence!

  • awsome!

  • i wish there wa sone in geelong =D

  • Great Video.

What is the name(title) of that music????

  • there clubs in the us and canada as well

  • that seems so kick ass :O i would do that...but i have no clue how to build RC boats...let alone 1s that can destroy another :O crazy shit

  • It does look complex but with the help of members it is very easy. It's a good hobby to learn a few practical skills which do have a use outside the hobby. This can include anything from basic craftsmanship, knowledge of materials, electricity, etc. All in all it's pretty fun. If you can't stand the idea of building one, they can be purchased second hand.

  • @therearenonormal metal gear :D ??

  • @therearenonormal

hey how much is a basic bismarck? without any internal items like engines rc gear or guns?

    so just hull and superstructure?

  • @therearenonormal how long does it take to build it with help? and how much?

  • @therearenonormal where can they be purchased?

  • Awesome video! Makes me want to move to Australia ;)

    pew-pew-pew

  • great vid

  • Very well done, like the music!
