I think that music represents freedom and freedom of choice and any mother fucker that thinks different ought to go live in one of those communist countries and find out what the fuck is really up.
I don't watch television or read magazines, but I attribute the decay of music in the USA with the rise of sex and violence in TV. Music education is not taught in Public Schools as in the past.
MTV is the channel that helped to bring down real music and musicians, by encouraging sex and depravation as normal. MTV manufactured the artists with sex and pretty videos this is the reason why music in America was flushed down the toilet, encouraging crime and gansters. A scheme to destroy America.
Music is a cultural phenomenon, unfortunately manufactured by rich consortiums enamored of drugs, sex and reflects how much attached they are to the objects of the material world. MTV is a prime example of how degradation of American values and Culture have been accelerated with the development of modern electronics and TV mind control.
Degradation of society unfolds as they abandon GOD. With the destruction of real Music we see the end of the United States her values and the whole nation.
Are you pissed off that music has harmed religion? You blame evrything with your big words and end up talking rubbish. No one forces taste. Its curiosity and people should have a choice. there are plenty of independent small bands that are content so I dont really respect your rants. There are people who like all that glossy stuff. I dont like them but even though they dont see the world like righteous thou, unfortunately they exist and why cant they enjoy!
suria49, you have my gratitude, who would think I would find such an amusing post on a Seals and Crofts' song. Need some more penis in your diet, you're too grumpy. Presumtuous old bitties with sex-deprived minds coming on here with their pentecostal-like nonsense make baby jesus cry..google it...it's true. Either way, thanks for the laugh.
PROMOTION of Youtube playlist "Candles of Unity", a broad introduction to the Baha'i Faith, the fastest growing world religion through which the plan of God for humanity is now clearly known.
Siasti, did you know that Seals and Croft made all efforts to make the Bahai Faith knowned through their beautiful music ? Yes, and they still work for world unity and harmony with their fellow Baha'is through music and otherwise. Many of their songs have been inspired by the words of Baha'u'llah.
I'm Hindu by Faith and I have read a book once about Bahai Faith - that by the way- is prosecuted in Iran. It is a beautiful Religion, with a Universal message to all men and women of good will. This song by Seals & Crofts stirred up my soul. I was 15 years old when I first heard this beautiful song. This melody bring good high school memories. Thanks for sharing.

this is seriously the best song. it doesnt get much better than this. all i have to do is listen to this song and it feels like a giant weight is lifted from me and i can just be free. no music can do that today.
This and Arlo's City of New Orleans came out about high school graduation time for me in 1972. That was a great summer, no cares or worries, just fun, the beach. Thanks for the post!
im a young cat age 20 and i gotta say i love this song. my dad grew up listening to this kinda music and this is what real music is. the music we have now are basically sampled by these types of artists. The era in which music was made and sounded good is no more.

Summer is ending in the midwest where I live. I love Autumn, but will sure miss the "summer breezes" of the beautiful summer we had. Now the long cold winter is coming, and this song will remind me that it will get better again!

The lover's teacher is the Loved One's beauty,
His face their lesson and their only book.
Learning of wonderment, of longing love their duty,
Not on learned chapters and dull themes they look.
The chain that binds them is His musky hair,
The Cyclic Scheme, to them, is but to Him a stair.
