  • Wow!!!! Its Slash with his cool hat and a tiny guitar. And if you read his lips its not Summer Breeze, hes singing "Paradise City".

  • To clear up the confusion; Dan Seals, the one who died, was England Dan from the group England Dan and John Ford Coley. The Seals from Seals & Croft was Jim Seals, Dan's older brother. Jim is still alive.

  • The audio can be heard on Seals &Crofts - Summer Breeze "Live"

  • nice music - can someone tell me what it is?

  • your an idot

  • yes, i was born waay too late.

  • omqoshh me too

  • It's,

Blowing through the jasmine in my mind. NOT blowin away the Jazz man... Idiot... Before you post a comment learn to read so you can read the lyric of a song...

  • All I can say if you weren't there NO WAY you can UNDERSTAND that time! Music was GREAT and so was WHAT went with IT!! GREAT TIME TO BE!!

  • Went to their concert at Illinois State Fair the summer of 1975 and remember listening to this as the rain poured down. It was really cool. Oh! to be back in the 1970's.....

  • man i kno how u feel

i used 2 always here this song when i was a kid

i wnt 2 relive those days so bad

  • it's all from pov...blowin away the jazz man in muy mind could mean a 12ga. :D

  • It's......'blowing through the jasmine in my mind'

  • I sat 3 feet away from them at FUNKY QUARTERS in SAN DIEGO IN 1972 what a great show and great old club. Thanks for the memories.

  • Wow!! How old are you?

  • I just turned 58, I was 21 at that show I guess you must be about 3 since you couldn't do the math.

  • Sweetheart, how would I have done the math by simply knowing when you went to the show and nothing else.

I went to a Prince show @ MSG 2 yrs ago. I guess u can tell how old I am, huh? Not!!

  • i like the original song ore than this one..

His voice and this band is apsulutly GAY

  • you mean absolutely? Obviously you have no good taste in music. Another thing, you absolutely have no clue what the word gay means, since back in the 70's it meant happy. You should really do some research before you bash a classic song.

  • Blowin' thru THEJazzMan of my mind...

  • Such a great song. I never knew who sang this

  • FaNTAxTIX!!!! LoVE ThIS XOnG.. HMmM. bLoWIng Ur The "LIAN" IN My MiNd xexexe..

    Yepper.

  • Oh, how I wish it was summer.

  • me too!

  • yes summer breeze...

  • That guitarist in the background wearing the black tank top looks like the wrestler Bret the Hitman Hart with those sunglasses also I wonder what percentage of the crowd was stoned during the concert.

  • I love that song. Allah-u-abha Seal and Crofts! GOd has blessed you with music talent and you are blessed with spirituality!

  • I love Type O Negative cover of that song ;)

  • i love this songg

  • I just listened to the Mraz cover,,, man did it SUCK !!! I think somebody else did a cover that wasnt bad,, but the Mraz cover is awful

  • either type o negative or the Isley brothers which is the version i really like :)

  • My home state! Great song and great summers!

  • Great song,,

Didn't Jason Mraz covered this one?

  • No it wasnt Mraz... i forget who did the cover,, it was a great cover,, but i know it wasnt Mraz... im going to research right now

  • I was wrong and you were right,, Mraz did cover this great song,, in 2005

  • Seals And Croft are the Gumpiest!

  • Great song; is this Dan Seals? who later wrote and sang songs like "meet me in montana?" Thanks and nonetheless, I'm diggin it!!!

  • Jim Seals is Dan Seals big brother.

  • I think Dan is this guys' younger brother. Can't remember for sure but I know they're related.

  • Yes. It is his brother. He was 1/2 of 'England Dan and John Ford Coley'.

  • I think that music represents freedom and freedom of choice and any mother fucker that thinks different ought to go live in one of those communist countries and find out what the fuck is really up.

  • I truly love this timeless, and a very beautiful song. It reminds me so much of my late Grandfather(Gumpy). "I Miss and Love you so much Gumpy!"

  • Great song.

  • Great music. Come to think of it I still love to dress the way I did in the 70's it's who I am. Don't need to impress anyone.

  • dress?

    lol

thats what we didnt do in the early 70s

    :P

well... depended on the day, season and locations.

  • This is a great song. Holy cow, the bass player has an extreme mullet!

  • :)

    Dash is my great-uncle...

He always sings at Thanksgiving dinner. Then the whole family joins in. Good times, good times.

  • I love Jason Mraz's version! I listened to it about 15 times when I got it.

  • I don't watch television or read magazines, but I attribute the decay of music in the USA with the rise of sex and violence in TV. Music education is not taught in Public Schools as in the past.

MTV is the channel that helped to bring down real music and musicians, by encouraging sex and depravation as normal. MTV manufactured the artists with sex and pretty videos this is the reason why music in America was flushed down the toilet, encouraging crime and gansters. A scheme to destroy America.

  • what are you doing about it!

There are options encourage them instead of your left wing rants!

  • Music is a cultural phenomenon, unfortunately manufactured by rich consortiums enamored of drugs, sex and reflects how much attached they are to the objects of the material world. MTV is a prime example of how degradation of American values and Culture have been accelerated with the development of modern electronics and TV mind control.

Degradation of society unfolds as they abandon GOD. With the destruction of real Music we see the end of the United States her values and the whole nation.

  • Are you pissed off that music has harmed religion? You blame evrything with your big words and end up talking rubbish. No one forces taste. Its curiosity and people should have a choice. there are plenty of independent small bands that are content so I dont really respect your rants. There are people who like all that glossy stuff. I dont like them but even though they dont see the world like righteous thou, unfortunately they exist and why cant they enjoy!

  • suria49, you have my gratitude, who would think I would find such an amusing post on a Seals and Crofts' song. Need some more penis in your diet, you're too grumpy. Presumtuous old bitties with sex-deprived minds coming on here with their pentecostal-like nonsense make baby jesus cry..google it...it's true. Either way, thanks for the laugh.

  • hey..its what people want...if they want violence etc the musicians have no choice...they have to make money to...

  • It is not what people want, but it is what the rich evil doers want you to taste

  • i agrree, mostly. maybe it wasnt a direct attack on the usa, but it def. degraded music to the flashy catchy bs we listen to today

  • I love this song! WHOOT!

  • PROMOTION of Youtube playlist "Candles of Unity", a broad introduction to the Baha'i Faith, the fastest growing world religion through which the plan of God for humanity is now clearly known.

  • Keep your promulgation efforts off YouTube, jackoff.

  • Siasti, did you know that Seals and Croft made all efforts to make the Bahai Faith knowned through their beautiful music ? Yes, and they still work for world unity and harmony with their fellow Baha'is through music and otherwise. Many of their songs have been inspired by the words of Baha'u'llah.

  • Every fucking religion makes taht claim. Fastest growing. I don't want to join your cult, nothing personal.

  • Your A freak,,,,

  • Most probably :-) You like poetry ?

The lover's teacher is the Loved One's beauty,

His face their lesson and their only book.

Learning of wonderment, of longing love their duty,

Not on learned chapters and dull themes they look.

The chain that binds them is His musky hair,

The Cyclic Scheme, to them, is but to Him a stair.

    - The Mathnaví

  • I'm Hindu by Faith and I have read a book once about Bahai Faith - that by the way- is prosecuted in Iran. It is a beautiful Religion, with a Universal message to all men and women of good will. This song by Seals & Crofts stirred up my soul. I was 15 years old when I first heard this beautiful song. This melody bring good high school memories. Thanks for sharing.

  • A video from Dan Seals has been added to my playlist "Best Baha'i Artists and Art!!" for you, Suria: We Are One.

Have you ever had the chance to visit the Lotus Temple in New-Delhi? Through regular practice of meditation and prayer, Hindous are exemplary spiritual peoples responding quite spontaneously to Baha'u'llah's lofty ideals. Thanks for your gentleness.

  • Thank you for your kindness. No I haven't visit that Temple yet. I practice Sadhana at home as the heart becomes a portable temple of love, peace and bliss.

  • Timeless!!

  • Like what ?? smoking lots of dope in the 70's ??

  • they are Baha'is, right?

  • That's right, they are! I was born into the Bahá'í faith, but am now not.

  • I want to blow through the jasmine in my mind.

  • Summer breeze does make me feel fine. awsome song

  • OMG. This song speaks levels.

  • This song is definitely in a league of its own. Classic!

  • a lot of people might disagree with me, but i prefer the isley brothers' version

  • No, no I agree with you!! My thing is, the Isley's version is very classic, but in a category of its own! So damn cool!!

  • Every time i hear this song, it takes me away to another world free of worries and troubles. One of my favourite songs of all time.

  • Definitely makes me feel that way, too. I love listening to it when I'm on my back porch on a warm summer day under the clearest sky.

  • one of the best songs of all time hands down

  • this is seriously the best song. it doesnt get much better than this. all i have to do is listen to this song and it feels like a giant weight is lifted from me and i can just be free. no music can do that today.

  • always have loved them

  • Hey, i have a question. Is there a new version of this song?

  • Yeah a Jason Mraz version. Its really good. Alot MORE mellow. It makes you feel fine =]

    Thanks for the posting!

  • Type O Negative does a really good cover of this song.

  • Fucking gold man, can this honestly be beat? 60's & 70's tops

  • The first 30 seconds is what it actually looked like to some of those concertgoers, I'll bet.

  • HAHAHA, yeah man...just gettin' off!

  • good thing about the 70's...not many fat people...everyone was outside all the time not sitting on their ass

  • a wasv there baby.......cooooooooooooool

  • some of us babies like this kind of music cuz its just that 'music'

  • The beginning of that song sounds exactly like Estranged by Guns N' Roses!

  • Umm I think you have it backwards. :-)

  • The vocal music is not in sync with the instrumental.

  • This and Arlo's City of New Orleans came out about high school graduation time for me in 1972. That was a great summer, no cares or worries, just fun, the beach. Thanks for the post!

  • You would still appreciate it more if you were born in the 60s.

You know, 70s were probably the best time to be a teenager. Babies don't appreciate music like this :)

  • I LOVE THE OLDIES SONG IN THE 60' and 70's

  • alyssa. this is the home i will have on the beach for you when you come home on the weekends from college....love ya

  • classic tune from better times. I remember driving down the highway with my dad in his Ford convertible. Life was so much simpler then.

  • im a young cat age 20 and i gotta say i love this song. my dad grew up listening to this kinda music and this is what real music is. the music we have now are basically sampled by these types of artists. The era in which music was made and sounded good is no more.

  • This takes me back to my childhood. This song was popular when I was in the first or second grade. For some reason I remember swinging in the back yard, not a care in the world....

  • feelin good everytime

  • Mandolin solo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Stay cool...check out the link below this video for the original sound and the mandolin.

  • Summer is ending in the midwest where I live. I love Autumn, but will sure miss the "summer breezes" of the beautiful summer we had. Now the long cold winter is coming, and this song will remind me that it will get better again!

  • i remember hearing this song while working in a Nike shoe factory somewhere off the south coast of China, working for a bowl of rice a day

  • Love this song. Brings back alot of memories. Does anyone else feel like life is too short?

  • I couldn't agree with you more about life being too short and i think that everytime I hear this song!

  • Loved this song when it came out when I was in high school. Still sounds as fresh and exciting today as it did then. Life has flown by!

  • It is too short

It's like God is a Carnie running a ride going "Do you wanna go faster?"

    There;s something about this song

It has specific qualities for everyone at that time

For me it was going to Disneyland in 76

  • Boy is it ever too short. Just thinking the same thing. I love this song as we wind down yet another summer. Last day of summer for 2008 is less than a week away now 09/21/08
