  • Still hysterical after all these years.

  • Moms and Lawanda (Aunt Esther) where the greatest.

  • Im over here laughing with tears in my eyes

  • Mom's the best that ever

    did it!!!

  • Original Queen of comedy....classic

  • lol this was funny

  • Gotta love a girl that spoke up for herself! Mostly you have these chicks that wouldn't speak up for themselves unless Al Sharpton and Oprah Winfrey did it for them! Heh heh heh...Gotta love Women's Liberation! You have to speak up for yourself!

  • lmao! I love her

  • I used to watch Moms on the Mike Douglas Show as a wee little kid. I loved her and never forgot her.

  • She was one of the funniest comedians around. We grew up on "Moms Mabley"!!

  • We listened to Moms Mably & laughed everytime. HIGGS 21+

  • ty for posting this

  • i use to sneak around and listen to her 8 track that my step father had. She was so funny.

  • here she is in her last days

    moms mabley

  • Moms was priceless and her comedy lives on.... The Good Old Days have come and gone ....But one thing that no one can take from us are our memories....and we're all bless with memories..some not so good and some outstanding memories just like Moms Mabley.... :)

  • GOD BLEES YOU, MOMS...YOU WERE THE GREATEST !!!

  • She was in the same genre as LaWanda Page aka Aunt Esther on "Sanford And Son" Redd Foxx played the same "chtilin circle" as Ms. Page and was good to all his friends, so she was given a role on his show. This statement is made to remind ppl there were MANY unappreciated non whites in entertainment.

  • thank u for posting this...i luv it

  • When I need a laugh I listen to Moms her stand by to this day is QUEEN! She didn't have to use foul language to make ya laugh. This woman was AWESOME, and so was her friend PIGMEAT MARKHAM. They were and still is the BEST in my book.

  • She was hysterical. I LOVE it!

  • I'm so glad someone shared this video on Tagged because i was sure feelin' low and my bottom lip was draggin' the floor. But i feel so much better for the great wit and comedy of this young lady, lol. Blessings to All. May All The World Find Peace.

  • You HAVE to admire African Americans of Moms' generation. They put up with so much sh*t, it's a wonder they survived. When I hear young African Americans moan and groan about racism and prejudice, they don't have a clue.

  • @skateboardgumby and neither do you

  • Yep, she paved the way for me, that's for sure! MuAh! Gotta love her!

  • Loved her to death she used to be on Merv all the time, a great lady

  • she didn't curse and was still funny

  • She paved the way for women in this business, including the great Joan Rivers.

  • Mom's was the best! Where are the comics like this today? FUNNY, FUNNY, FUNNY!

  • LOL!! Just as CUTE as I wanted to be....OMG! I played the wax off of my moms albums, she'd be soooo upset, being young I didn't know wax was sooo delicate...LOL! Grt Post!

  • Moms Mabley was and still is one of the comedy greats. You can't mention comedic genius without mentioning moms.

  • She didn't play. She made her audience think before they act by showin them what it was like when she was getting around

  • Another thing: We don't teach our kids abstainence. We've got kids having kids, and some moms have a boyfriend every week.If this sounds hard,it's true.Further, our young men need to act like gentlemen, and dress like one! Some of our young(and older) women need to learn how to act, too.End of sermon.

  • @vince065us - Interesting thing to post as Moms was raped twice as a teenager and had to give up two babies because of it. Those men who raped her were no doubt taught to be gentlemen it bein' the good old days and all.

  • This is a topic that can go on for days.Panel disscusion, for sure.

  • PREACH!!!!!!!

  • History...great comedy without being profane.

  • Moms rulz!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love this Lady she is on point

  • she was my grannie,,,miss you so much...

  • A true classic!!!!

  • I've made myself cry through laughter at this. There'll never be another like her. Classic!!

  • The Good Ole Days!

  • did u know she was a dyke yes i know she had kids but she hated men cause sh was raped

  • @floydmichaelmoss Interesting piece of history. I never knew that. Some of the greatest performers have had this type of background. Real shame.

  • I loved her on Johnnie Carson show...he laughed til he cried when she was on.

  • i had the fortune of seeing her live as a little kid.... great great and great

  • She was the inspiration for Eddie Murphy's grandma in The Nutty Professor.

  • Jenifer Lewis based Mama Odie on her. Isn't that fantastic?

  • omg......i totally remember her.....she was hilarious

  • my dad gave me this album i was 13teen

she is the reason i luv comedy

  • What time is it Moms?

    Moms: I don` know. I thinks its 3:47 P.C.

  • se was great

  • I love Jackie1 The best!

  • Moms Mabley was a fool! Monique & Sammore can't touch her.

  • not even close. all monique talks about is how she hates skinny girls and sammore always finds a way to talk about a penis. Moms is actually telling jokes

  • That's probably where they got their inspiration from

  • This is hilarious. I have tears running down my face from laughing so hard. I wish todays comics could be half this funny without using such vulgar language to get their point across.

  • I adored Moms! The QUEEN of black female stand up! Loved watching her back in the late 60's & into the 70's on various TV shows. THANKS for sharing this delightful "blast from the past" with us! Hope ALL your wishes & dreams come true in the New Year!!! :)

  • @JubalCalif This great woman belongs on the female Mount Rushmore of comedy, along with Phyllis Diller, Roseanne Barr and Lucille Ball, Agree?

  • @lettersfromaboy

I second that emotion! Oh, how my family & I loved watching her on TV back in the day! A comedic genius! THANKS for your insightful comment! :)

  • One of a kind is right.Moms had all of us including our parents cracking up watching the Ed Sullivan show in the 60's & 70's. RIP Moms keep them laughing in heaven.

  • Moms was one of a kind.

  • She ain't lying about back in the day.

  • @jazjett You got that right! Mom said, you did.You did what you were suppose to do,and did what you were told. You didn't question authority, either!

  • @vince065us it troubles me today to see kids behavior toward their parent(s), especially their mother.. Mothers are the very first teacher's in a child's life.. If they can't get it right with their mom's how can they expect to go to school, or any other place in life....

  • @jazjett It has to staart at home.Back then, you didn't havr the threat of DYFS.Mom and Dad WERE DYFS.Sadly, the family structure's crumbling apart. The kids have to learn to like themselves, respect themselves, and others.I thank God for my raising.

I miss my folks somedays more than others,This is foder for a panel discussion.

  • @vince065us Thank you for your response...I would love to continue this discussion on our views on these conditions in the family, the community, and the world.... Do you know of a venue in which we can continue this discussion on? I may have one in mind.. Let me know....

  • Moms!
