  • HOW CAN I MAKE A JINXY CAT

  • I am in the UK and make jackets similar to this at very competative prices, please have a look at my website Mynwood Cat Jackets

  • They are all beautiful. Your Tonk is gorgeous and they have such wonderful personalities. =^.^=

  • you may want to consider a cat harness as they dont put pressure on the throat.

  • Great way to hold the cat tween your knees when putting on the harbess. I'll use that technique next time ^_^

  • how many catz do u have

  • Way too many. The cats in this video are not mine though.

  • The marble has good balance it only fel 1 time..

  • 0:17 - 0:19 whoa!

  • why they have it so difficult to walk normal with that harnass??

is it because it's to tight??

  • They can walk just fine, they are afraid of having something strapped on them that they cant get off.

  • Why doesn't it matter if you can understand it or not? You actually can by its body language and its pitch of voice. Just watch and listen... it isn't that hard of a thing to do.

Anyway, I'm currently training my cat, Niun, to harness. Hes a 2-year-old ginger, and doesn't mind the harness much. Its just the traffic he dislikes, and gets really frightened by it. So I'm in a bit of a dilemma, I'm going to drive around today and search for parks where I can take him.

  • my fat cat charlie got his very first harness we had to get him one for a medium sized dog lol and he didnt like it very much i took him out side with it a couple times and he would either just sit there or try to run he got out of it a couple times but were still workin on it!

  • Mine still get the boneless response to their jackets. They don't try and throw themselves out of it like your savannah did, but the flop down and look tragic. All the response a wand toy gets is a feeble paw wave as they couldn't possibly get up to chase it! Funny beasts, they'll get used to it soon.

  • can you use a regular harness for walking a cat?

and those are beautiful cats :)

  • yes you can use a regular harness. I use a dog harness for my large boy Seyah

  • believe it or not they do answer you just need to listen

  • also great videos, i really liked them all.

  • Thanks

  • i feel that the best walking jacket is the "H" Jacket, i havent seen a cat who can get out of that. i think the pet stores should have them and not just the harnesses.

  • um how many cats do you have?

  • LOL, those are not my cats. I wanted to make a video on how to train your cats to walk on a leash so I need to have access to a bunch of kittens. I contacted a breeder friend of mine that had 3 kittens and a few of her cats there.

  • I take my cats on walks, he just follows me...

  • the marble savanna took the harness like a champ he didn't care!!

  • Initially around 5-10 min a day until he can walk around and feel comfortable with it on. You will find once you get them outside the kind of forget they have it on and will go exploring.

  • spider cat spider cat does whatever a spidercat does

  • I have never seen a walking jacket before. Very interesting. I bought a harness for my cat but she just goes on her back and refuses to move. Are walking jackets preferable to harnesses?

  • It will take a while for them to get used to the harness or walking jacket. I feel that walking jackets are more secure and will not let them wiggle out of it.

  • Dont let PETA see this. hehe They will swear youre killing them for sure. ;-)

  • Exactly! It was really good to show that most cats feel paralysed by the walking jacket, even though eventually they adjust just nicely and barely notice when it is on.

  • yes, some adjust quicker than others but on average it takes just a few times. 5 to 10 minutes at a go

  • I am so glad I watched this before I tried it! I would have thought that my cat was never going to get the hang of it if he was so off balance by having it on for the first time!

Thanks for doing this series, it is a real service to newbies, and helps to see so many examples of cats and their reactions!

  • I will normally put the walking jacket on for 5 min at a time inside then try to get them to play first. Once they are comfortable then it's time to try the great outdoors.
