  • Nice work, man! The only thing I would like you to change is to let us configure our own controls. Z to jump and X to shoot doesn't exactly work for me.

  • Very nice... so all the levels coexist on an intertwined grid, and then the select screen just starts you off at different points within it? And instances of bosses (or any enemy, for that matter?) can be set to be "stage-enders" or "not stage-enders?"

  • For the most part, I think this engine is pretty good. It's very professional, almost as if was made by Capcom themselves. However, I only have one small gripe with it, and that's the controls. Are you ever going to make it so that players have an option to configure the controls?

    And with that said, keep up the good work.

    Give him a "power slide", the same slide you get from charge man. And make him attack more often.

  • Honestly, seeing as all Mega Man ? does is use charge shot, you should get the Mega Buster from him (seeing as the charge shot is a weapon in this game)

  • something that you missed: Gravity Value, each time Megaman falls trough a screen without stopping , the falling speed is increased X2.

Among other things, I like how you made it so you have to actually enter WIly's fortress as opposed to just starting inside, and also that there's a boss battle in the beginning of the stage before the entrance. It's a nice and also applicable rethinking of how the series normally works.

    Yep, I'm liking what I'm seeing here. Again, very nice. Props.

    On another note, I don't know what it says of me that I got ALL of the inside mega man jokes that you put in here.

  • Ya know, it's funny. I just got done playing with this thing last night. I have to say, this does NOT feel like your standard Multimedia Fusion 2 product. No, this is far better made than about 90% of the products people make with that game engine. I actually made a fairly decent engine back in Click & Create, but I never got around (and couldn't figure out how) to implimenting sliding. I DID have an awesome charged-shot engine, though. I was proud of my charged-shot engine.

  • Check out the Powmettaur. It's a boss, sorta.

    The red guy with the hair is Zero, and the one with the bombs is Crash Man.

  • You should make it so that if you come out of a door/gate going up, you can land on it and not go through, but the next time you touch it you enter. Just a suggestion to make it easier to get out of those areas. =/

  • MugenOverlord: at 4:20 shows him going up a locked door where you can't go back down.

    As stated, the engine has re-entry flags available where you want them. If you don't use them for particular doors, they stay locked after entering them.

    I'll probably post a video soon of the entire layout of the engine, to get an idea how using the engine works.

  • The engine is still in its initial stages, and it still looks like a winner. I'm impressed with how much was done. I'll be waiting for the next update.

  • I never thought about trying to store a game's levels in one frame... if I was able to do that scrolling the way you did it would make sense for a Mega Man fangame, actually, assuming it doesn't hit some memory limit.

    Theres this other guy whos working on his one mega man game too, but his is a mega man X game. You should look him up, his username is jkbproductions. His game that he's working on is called "megaman x corrupted" its looking pretty promising, have you heard of this
