Pretty much everything that's going on in Africa is in some way the western worlds fault. 1884 Berlin Conference, western nations divided Africa amongst eachother. While the west was controling this region, we did not teach the Africans how create a successful government or how to create a prosperous economy, so they are are still learning. I think an industrial revolution will take place in Africa sometime this century.

first we need to straighten some things out.. Only a handful of countries in Africa are dealing with some form of civil war. There are African countries that are doing quite well in terms of development. Liberia was never a british colony. Anyone with some education would know Liberia was staretd by freed black american slaves who then enslaved the population in liberia. Was often called little america in africa, etc etc. Britain ruled South Africa,Nigeria, etc. not liberia.

I grew up in Ghana and I've forgotten more African culture than you will ever know. Before the whites landed and divided Africa, there were hundreds of thousands of different tribes(with their own languages) coexisting peacefully. Pretty much everything that's going on in Africa is in some way the western worlds fault. 1884 Berlin Conference, western nations divided Africa amongst eachother. While the west was controling this region, we did not teach the Africans how create a successful government or how to create a prosperous economy, so they are are still learning. I think an industrial revolution will take place in Africa sometime this century.

@digichromedude That's a simplistic and convenient explanation. Africans were fighting long before the arrival of Europeans. Now they have modern medicine so thier population is much more than it was. At the same time they have modern weaponry so they can kill each other in numbers not seen in the days of bows and arrows. Africa was at its most stable state when Europeans ruled.

The poor Countries in Africa have been at war with each other and even themselves for hundreds of years, before white people even set foot there.
There was barely any war there when Britain ruled it, years after Britain leaves, it falls into extreme poverty and millions of people starve.

first we need to straighten some things out.. Only a handful of countries in Africa are dealing with some form of civil war. There are African countries that are doing quite well in terms of development. Liberia was never a british colony. Anyone with some education would know Liberia was staretd by freed black american slaves who then enslaved the population in liberia. Was often called little america in africa, etc etc. Britain ruled South Africa,Nigeria, etc. not liberia.

Africa is insulted because a majority of its countries have been in political disarray since they were granted independence one-by-one in the 1960s. It's just been civil war after civil war and disease after disease since then. I grew up in Ghana and I've forgotten more African culture than you will ever know. Before the whites landed and divided Africa, there were hundreds of thousands of different tribes(with their own languages) coexisting peacefully. As soon as the whites "discovered" us, well as they say, the rest is history.
And to prove my point, my home country Ghana is over 6 centuries old and has always had over 40 tribes and we've never been in a civil war. Not one.
