I actually have a lot more respect for these guys now after watching this, the know what they are doing and they know how to keep it simple and produce a huge sound, yes they may use vengance samples and mostly plug-ins and copy and paste midi notes, but the fact that they can make records that heaps of people like so easily is what makes them great producers.

Just to clear something up regarding the comments. The reason these gentlemen are sitting in front of that console...is precisely because equipment DOES matter. If it didn't, the version you hear on the radio would have been straight out of a MacBook, and not that console. It's definitely not. The same applies to software as it does hardware; each tool has strengths and weaknesses and an inherent sound and quality. But by the same token, if you're not a professional, then yes; JUST MAKE MUSIC :)
