  • Shirley looks hot in this!

  • Jane, jane, you are the best!

  • Dreyfuss has no memory of this event. he claims that the years from 78 through to 82 are pretty much a blur.

  • seems like she really wanted to have sex with John Voight in this movie,,

  • As a US Army vet from 65-68 I believe and history demonstrates that Fonda was right! 58,000 were butchered and hundreds of thousands of US lives ruined for a parcel of lies and we had no business whatsoever to have been there. We likewise have no business in Iraq or the Ghan. More lies and more corrupt politics. Today we have mercenaries like Blackwater so there will be no draft. Ther e has been two wars and no tax to pay for them. Borrow from China. Jane had it right back then.

  • @617AV86892

shush your mouth. jane fonda is quite easily one of the greatest american actresses of all time, in fact she'd probably be considered *the* greatest had she not stopped acting...

  • @617AV86892 turns out,she was right. and this coming from a vet and one posted above you also.

  • before angelina there was jane

  • She doesn't look like a scary mother in law here.

  • Shirley Maclaine was an absolute fox!!

  • cumming home more like it

  • Jane theTRAITOR Fonda. AKA Hanoi Jane! We will never forget what you did to our troops! NEVER!

  • @Halftrac What exactly did she do? We still would have lost the war anyway.

  • ladies and gents barbarella

  • Page could act rings around the other 4, and should have won for Interiors. She was hauntingly amazing, and any aspiring actor that wants to see how it should be done, need do no more than to watch her in that role. It was the best performance of her career, and she should have won an Oscar.

  • @muscled57 AGREE! AGREE! AGREE! But, Ingrid was better than her that year. But Yes Geraldine was the best Actrtess out of all the nominees. But that says a lot because all of them could act their -- excuse my language---asses off.

  • Jill Clayburgh deserved it.

  • Great actress and a superb perfomance!

Ms fonda is one the best actresses ever!

  • This is a film ABOUT vets and vietnam. Yeah what a traitor, making a film about the men that dog her for lies she never commited. Those dudes make me sick. It's very hard to have a modicum of sympathy for them, they are so hardheaded and stuck in their ways.

  • For all the U.S. veterans SUFFERING from PTSD, there is free help waiting for you; this link has most of the locations. please google acuwithoutborders org/veteransprogram since YT won't allow me to post the actual web link. For some strange reason, Atlanta isn't on the list, but FREE sessions are on Monday nites, 6-7:30 pm, right across the street from the VA hospital on Clairmont Rd. THANK YOU FOR SERVING; LONG LIVE THE USA

  • RIP Ingrid Berrgman.

    RIP Geraldine Page.

    RIP Jill Clayburgh.

  • PEACE_www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zbeMaHr1q0

  • The more I see of her, the more I come to love and respect her.

  • @usspharris It was given to her by a bunch of ignorant morons. It refers to her infamous trip to Hanoi where some say some soldiers were killed because of her and such.

  • It should have been for Ingrid Bergman, hitting her career peak, or Jill Clayburgh for her breakthrough performance.

  • I love Jane Fonda and I love Coming Home in general but this award was Ingrid Bergman's. Too bad they foolishly wasted that 3rd win on her a few years before, it would've been so richly deserved here.

  • Holy moly, look at the nominees! When do you see 5 great actresses nominated these days. Never.

  • Hanoi Jane sux!

  • shirley is always great...

  • Damn that was Clayburgh's... she was amazing in An Unmarried Woman. I loved Geraldine Pages performance in Interiors also but it was incredibly short and more appropriate to be in the supporting category.

  • I loved Jane Fonda in this film. It was such a heartfelt movie and employed actual veterans. Jon and Jane had me in tears. A wonderful love story. I've watched it many times and it still makes me think about the handicapped and their troubles after the war.

  • Jane already won seven years prior for "Klute." This should have went to Jill Clayburgh.

  • Does anybody know how the vietnam vets felt about the movie Coming Home? I've never seen it all the way through, but it looks like a good movie. Nevertheless, that doesn't necessarily mean that the vets liked it. Did they feel like they could relate to it and that it was realistic?

  • the best presenting ever ^^

  • I wish there had been a tie between Jane Fonda and Jill Clayburgh that would have kicked ass!!

  • @johnyzero2000 so true. i fucking love fonda in this film but clayburgh was just as brilliant. a superb performance.

  • @KingofTheTang You're right.

  • OMG, Richard Dreyfuss was ONLY 31 years old here. He seems my granfather!

  • Wow, 4 (eventual) Oscar winners in one category. Some of these past award years were insane!

  • Poor Diane Keaton looked awkward at Maclaine's celibacy crack.

  • Jill Clayburgh is wearing a green Fortunny gown! Love her so much I wished she'd have won! I miss you Jill!

  • one of the greatest oscar speeches ever.

  • man, i wish the quality of today's films were as good as those years

  • Boy, what a beautiful, touching, inspiring speech. Jane Fonda really rooooocks!!!!

  • On what planet is Geraldine Page lead in Interiors?

  • I love Jane Fonda, but did you all see Autumn Sonata? Best Performance ever.

  • @myfilmblog I guess they didn't. Otherwise they wouldn't say it. I totally agree with you. Jane is my favorite actress but Ingrid in Autumn Sonata... OMG. I think people who don't pick Ingrid (having seen her) have serious problems. :)

  • very deserved win

  • She deserved it the first time, and she deserved it the second time. Her performance in Coming Home is a rich exploration of a senstive time in our history, but the project came straight from her heart. She made the movie as means to show Vietnam vets that she was there for them and that even if there was some tension about what she did in that time, the compassion she felt she brought to her character and made a timeless impression. I wish they would show this movie more, because it is relevant.

  • one of the best wins ever.

  • Jane Fonda! What a classy lady with intelligence, beauty and inspirations!

Coming home is one of my favorite movie - both Jane Fonda and Jon Voight are superb acting such difficult and sensitive material.

  • I so love Jane Fonda.

  • Jane Fonda is my favorite actress and I would give her tons of Oscars but not this one because Ingrid Bergman gave her best performance (and one of the TOP 5 performances of all time). I think Jane should have won for They, Shoot Horses..., On Golden Pon and she deserved her first Oscar. Still, she's the greatest. :)
