Not to sound like I'm telling you off... sorry if I do, but ninjas were farmers that learned unorthodox ways of assassination and sabotage. Ninja were extremely different from samurais, who had strict rules of honor. Naruto tends to blend it though, so for this anime most ninjas are more like samurais then NINJAS
