  • can these be used to replace my current PC lights, or would i need to use them in addition to the PC lights? also, i dont notice a shimmer in the aquarium from these, is there a reason for that or is it just the video?

  • @gamefreak0109 You can use them either way! They will add great shimmer in conjunction with your current lights, or you can use them as stand-alone lights and remove your PC lamps all together!

  • i have a cube shaped tank how would they look if i put one on each side of my sunpod metal halid? Would they need to be the same color?

  • @adamrichie2002 You could add whichever spectrums you like, the actinic blue or marine fusion would likely look the best. They would mount very, very easily to your Sunpod fixture!

  • How would that look? I would love to see an example. I really want to get the most vivid colors to show from my corals..

  • @gamefreak0109 It would look fantastic! The more blue you have, the more vivid your corals are going to look!

  • i have a 24g cube and im looking at getting a couple of your 12" strips, but i cant figure out what color combination to use. im currently using PC lights but they dont show the colors of the corals very well. im going to replace them with your True Lumens Pro strips.I want to get the 453mn strip, and the marine fusion strip at the least. but i dont know what would look better to add, the 12k or the 8k. what do you reccomend? i do plan to get all 4 eventually, but for the time being, just 2 or 3.

  • Hi @gamefreak0109 - The marine fusion is our most popular strip! If your going to purchase 2 to start, we would recommend going with one marine fusion and one 12K Diamond white. The color combination will be very bright and look fantastic!

  • Hi, I have a 29 Gallon Salt (30"L x 18"H x12"W) I have just bought one of the 453nm LED Strips to use as a moon light. I LOVE it. It adds an unbelievable amount of shimmer to my tank at night. I also have a 130 Watt Power Compact with 50/50 bulbs in it. I want to get rid of it though because it produces too much heat. Which strips would you recommend for me and how many. I don't know if it is possible, but could I have a combination of the LED Strips and have a 14,000K Metal Halide Effect? Thanks

  • @TheDeltaFlight Hi - Using our 24" strips over your tank would work great, we would recommend using one of each color spectrum for the best over all look.

  • How far out from the center of the fixture is the light effective (light spread)? And Par ratings with the fixture 6"-10" above the aquarium?

  • @quesadilla247 The fixtures are actually mounted quite close to the tank, 1-2" above the water line. At a 10" depth, your still over 250 PAR on this tank.
