Best writer ever! When I saw the name Khaled Hosseini in the book, for I knew nothing about the kite runner. I'm a Moroccan, thus an Arab. Nevertheless, got so frustrated when I saw the Arabic name which belongs to an Afghani writer so perfect and so fascinating which later I discover. Great author, loved both his books (TKR slightly more than ATSS though)! But is it just me or is it weird to address an audience of adult, literate people as "you guys"?? Maybe it's just an American thing but it sounds like he's talking to a bunch of teenagers to me.

Khaled Hosseini is an amazing writer and anyone who says any different is an imbecile. THE KITE RUNNER is a book which has moved me deeply.

The Afghan government enact a ban on the book and Film of Khalid Hussaini.
I agree with with them its a book full of hate against Afghan/Pashtun.
His book is far from reality, Pashtun and Hazara are victim of Zahir Shahs policy.
The only person who profit from this system are Tajik and Qizalbash (Shia Turk).
All Embassador and higher Posts were occupied by this groups of Persons.
